My stay started with a friendly reception where I simply desired to store my bags until checking in later in the day. Instead, the staff checked me into my room quite early and offered numerous room options. The location is fabulous, with a commanding presence over the old port. The location provides many dining options nearby the port, or to the beach with short yet scenic strolls. Upon departure and return the staff provided friendly greetings and best wishes. The room was quite nice, with a supremely comfortable bed and excellent shower. The staff also provided a nice evening turn down service. This was my first time in Marseille, and the Sofitel proved a perfect site from which to explore the historic and physical beauty of the area.

Service was mediocre, restaurant food was beyond awful. The hotel seems very outdated, to go to th wool you go through an area that looks like it has been destroyed by a bomb and just covered by some plastic. Didn’t get any benefits from the All Accor membership. Not even a welcome drink.

Amazing experience with exceptional service. Everyone was so professional and attentive.
All the staff were friendly and attentive, the gentlemen at the door and on reception gave excellent service. Anna, who organised the reservation was professional and friendly and Wissal, was super helpful in arranging a birthday surprise for my daughter.
The room was luxurious, spacious, clean and quiet. The housekeeping staff were very helpful.

We enjoyed drinks in the Sky Lounge with its wonderful views.

The service at Les Trois Forts was superb, the food was amazing, the wine was perfect and the view exceeded expectations! Our waiter was delightful and made the evening very enjoyable and relaxing- we thoroughly enjoyed the wine he recommended.
Great location near the Vieux Port.
I highly recommend Sofitel for luxury with a friendly atmosphere and amazing service from everyone which made it a wonderful vacation. We look forward to coming back !

The quality of the room, and the hotel was nice. The food was excellent, the service great. The location top notch.

however, there is an open air nightclub right across one side of the hotel, which played incredibly loud music until midnight. I asked for a different room, they did not have any.

In my opinion, it is borderline disgraceful to be charging Sofitel prices, and to market this as a 5-star hotel which such a poor sleeping experience. You can literally hear the lyrics of the songs through the closed window, making it almost impossible to sleep until the club turns off.

I was hear for work, and after a long day's of work away from home, the last thing you want is a bad night's sleep for yet another hard day's work.

I am sure people who are here on pleasure would be even more unhappy.

From a very warm welcome of Anna that made sure our entire stay would be perfect and amazing tips of Silvi to explore the city and the rest of the wonderful staff (housekeeping turn down service is superb) 👌🏽

We wanted to get a drink on the terrace and the woman at the bar said we can’t because it is cold outside. It was 20 degrees celsius. Wondering what kind of temperature it should be so we are « allowed «  to go on the terrace. The tables and sits were outside so it felt like it was open but she just didn’t want to. Also don’t talk to me like you decide for me. Who is the client here? Such a bad customer service

Some great views of the old port and a great location with boats/historic harbour one way and a fab little beach the other. Not all rooms have the view so well worth upgrading.

Great spot, walking distance from the Pharo Palace. Minor problems with bathroom tub and shower temperature + plates were not clean at buffet breakfast. Hard to witness this for a hotel of this standing and price.

The whole stay was great, but what stood out was the help and guidance we got from the concierge staff. They were incredible, and when we had a few challenges they had exactly the right answer to keep us on the right track.
