The hotel is situated in a magnificent 18th-century building in the historic quarter of Marseille, close to Vieux port. It features a gracefully and elegantly furnished rooms, some with a private terrace. The hotel has two gourmet restaurants. The bar serves a selection of cocktails. I would stay at Intercontinental Marseille over and over again. The hotel had really beautiful views of Marseille, the rooms were spacious and clean, the bathroom was also large, and the balcony just made my trip so much more amazing.

I also enjoyed the breakfast service, particularly the freshly cooked eggs, pastries, and crepes.

All the elements of my stay, from the service offered by the front-desk to using the fitness centre regularly was 5-star! this would probably be my best stay at an Intercontinental to date.

Thank you to the team for making my stay extra special. If I ever come back to Marseille, I definitely know where I’ll be staying again!

Great room (clean) and the terrace offers a great view of the city. The sauna and swimming pool were so relaxing and I was the only one using them. Would definitely stay here again if I come back. Valets were great but front desks seemed impatient.

What an amazing hotel. The views are so good and the staff so nice. The rooms are always clean and dust free, they clean immediately when you leave the room. Their food is also great. Just a great hotel.

Just got back from my first trip to Marseille and fell in love with this hotel. All the staff are so nice! Especially Jacob at front desk/concierge/management. He is the best! Everyone went above and beyond. I was originally there for two nights and then had to attend a wedding in Oppedette so I left and then decided to change my plans and return to Marseille for three more nights and stay at the Intercontinental. This hotel was so comfortable and absolutely beautiful - I didn’t want to leave! I highly recommend and cannot wait to return.

I stayed here with my kids and dog for my birthday and it was a wonderful experience. The staff go above and beyond. The accessible room was spotless and beds are comfortable. As a Platinum member, we felt very well cared for. They do have plugs and will charge your electric car for you. The food was great at both restaurants, as well as the drinks. My teens wanted the pizza bar every night for dinner! For dogs, they provide bowls, a mat, and a food menu! Housekeeping even refilled our dogs water bowl while we were out, it was a really nice gesture. We will definitely be staying again!

lovely property , nice staff always smiling and willing to help.
rooms are cleaned and well maintained but need some touch up, big and elegant bath, breakfast is good with the amazing view.

This is not a 5 star hotel. The exterior is beautiful but don’t judge a book by its cover. We wanted to switch rooms since our room was very dirty (black mold, stains everywhere) and the chain lock was broken(?) to the room. Skip the restaurant and terrace unless you want to pay 30 euros for a single drink. Kids drinks are 15-20 euros. The view is decent but you’re getting average cafe experience for Saint Tropez prices.

Incredibly surprised at the rates they charge and the 5-star classification.

Iconic building and remarkable location. The terrace is the heart of the hotel, with good music and food. Nice rooms with view from the balcony over the harbour. The default internet was not fast enough for video calls.

I have been in France for two weeks and have stayed at 5 other 5 star hotels. The fact that this hotel is considered 5 star is mind boggling. The service and food at the bar/ restaurant is terrible. Very long wait times. The front desk/ housekeeping do not communicate because no one seemed to know the laundry process or how to help us. Many staff members were rude and seemed put out that we were asking a bunch of questions about how things worked. The shower was horrible and because there is no door or screen the bathroom was basically flooding daily. The balcony of the room was beautiful and the bed was very comfortable. This hotel is a 3 star hotel, maybe 4 at best. Do not recommend.

Lovely location, beautiful rooms, and exceptional service. Sorna welcomed us for our one-night stay and was an absolute pleasure. The live music on the terrace in the evening was delightful, and the concierge made sure we sampled as much of Marseille as we could in our short stay. Truly a five star experience.
