Folkestone Opéra Mini-hotel

This is a three stars hotel in the centre of Paris. It can easily be rated as a 4 stars hotel. It is situated in a very convenient location near the opera of Garnier in the centre of Paris. We stayed my wife and I from the 6rh till the 9th of January 2025. The number of our room was 603. It had a wonderful balcony with a very nice view of the area. The room was very spacious and clean. The double bed very comfortable. The bathroom seemed to be recently refurbished. There was cleaning service every day and reception service 24 hours a day which added to the safety of the hotel. The personnel was very polite and helpful. The mini bar was free of charge at least in this room. The room was equipped with a safety box and a coffee machine. The breakfast was very good. The young lady in the breakfast area was very polite. Overall this is a value for money, clean, quiet, safe and well located hotel.

The nicest hotel in Paris, with the mist welcoming staff. Highly recommended for a short trip, when you want to live in the center of the city. Don't hesitate to ask hotel personnel for anything, they will always try to help you.

great overall experience....the hotel Is perfectly located and so one can visit many interesting nearby sites of Paris which are all at a walking distance. the hotel is well kept ...tidy, daily cleaned and well serviced. but i would also like to mention the professional and prepared people who manage and run the premises because people make the difference with their approach and attitude.
first, mr.farouk at the reception desk ...always ready to provide advice and/or solutions to one or many of the questions being asked by the guests while remaining extremely courteous and polite all the time.
second, mr.wali, the hotel manager, a highly qualified person available for any needs one may have...very pro-active and competent in the many duties that his role requires and covers.
i highly recommend the folkestone opera hotel.

Hotel Folkestone Opéra truly exceeded my expectations. From the moment I arrived, the incredibly welcoming staff, always greeting guests with a warm smile, made me feel right at home.

The rooms are impressively spacious (by French standards) and impeccably clean.

Airport Access:
Getting here from Orly Airport is straightforward. The M14 metro line takes you directly to the Madeleine stop, just a five-minute walk from the hotel. Alternatively, an Uber ride costs around €37.

Location:
The location is unbeatable! Just steps from the hotel, there are two convenience stores that stock a wide range of essentials (I personally had to grab a hairbrush and found everything I needed). Directly across the street, there's a charming wine bar that stays open late but keeps a peaceful atmosphere. Numerous excellent dining options are also within a short walking distance. I even walked to the Eiffel Tower, which was a pleasant and scenic stroll. For those who prefer to drive, an Uber ride costs about €13.

Cleanliness:
Spotless! I accidentally spilled an entire cup of cola, but after the room was cleaned, there wasn't a trace of it. A perfect 10/10 for cleanliness.

Room:
The room was lovely, featuring a double glazed Juliette balcony, a desk, and thoughtful touches like complimentary coffee machine with pods , tea, a kettle, water, and a mini-fridge. The provided shower gel and shampoo/conditioner were high quality, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The shower was on the smaller side, but the bathroom itself was pristine. There’s also a generously sized wardrobe and a safe for valuables.

Breakfast:
Breakfast was delicious and served with the same friendly smiles. I tend to eat breakfast later in the morning, and I appreciated that the hot food was still fresh and well-stocked. The selection was excellent, all served in a charming basement dining area with beautiful exposed brick arches. The atmosphere added to the overall experience.
There were male and female toilets on this floor for convenience.

Extras:
The reception area was spacious, with comfortable seating, and meticulously maintained. There is also a small bar located within the reception area, perfect for a quick drink. The staff went above and beyond, accepting deliveries from stores and keeping items secure until guests were ready to collect them. They spoke excellent English and were multilingual, making communication easy and welcoming for international guests.
Anything you need just ask the staff are super helpful!

In summary, Hotel Folkestone Opéra is an exceptional hotel offering a superb location, outstanding service, and remarkable comfort. Highly recommended!

This hotel will be my preferred stay for all future visits to Paris.

Nice place to stay! Excellent bed!

Good location, grocery next door, clean, Air conditioning, WiFi in every room. Staff speak English, Small but cozy rooms. We had a bad experience with the reception lady who gave us a wrong room and bed arrangement, which forced us to return via the tiny elevator with our luggage. Then sent us to a room adjacent to the elevator, this made us return to her a second time (with the luggage in that tiny elevator, oh yes), on the 3rd time she finally got it right (right room, 2 single beds). There was no apology, just an antipathic straight face. On the night before our last day, we asked for a late checkout, the nice guy at the reception checked and approved. The next day the lady in the reception was not informed and asked why we were late to check out.

Extremely kind, polite, and helpful staff, and cute, clean rooms. Breakfast was simple, minimal (breads, pastries, cheese, yogurt, deli meats and coffee) yet delicious and filling. We feel very safe in this part of town too. Places to eat nearby.
