Hotel Madison

I have stayed in various hotels in Paris over many years. When my best friend and I discovered Hotel Madison in 2016, we loved it and kept returning every year (except for pandemic). It’s a perfect location in the sixth arrondissement, across the street from St Germain des Près church, steps from taxis, metro, buses, cafes, shops; it has lovely spacious rooms, great staff and concierge, etc. However, there was bit of an off year in November 2022, with not quite as good service, breakfasts, ambience, and no concierge. We thought we might not come back to the Madison.

However, as I was researching hotels for our November trip this year, I found out that the previous manager for that year was gone. The Madison had everything we most cared about, and we decided to take a chance and see if with new management it had come back to its former self.

Well, it has turned out that our stay this last two weeks exceeded all our hopes. The front staff were so helpful and friendly and caring. Every time we ran into one of our housekeepers, they were lovely and so meticulous. Breakfast room service people were on time and friendly and professional. Breakfast in the room and also at the buffet was great. We loved our deluxe room with its view and large size.

And the concierge, Sanjay Kaloya, was — in a word — incredible. He has a clef d’or, the highest rating for any concierge, and he made our time in Paris to be so special. He made reservations for us at some wonderful little restaurants and bistros. He gave us ideas of things we would like to do. He does have an amazing network, and he goes to practically every exhibition in the city. Without Sanjay, we would never have known about the virtual reality experience at Notre Dame. Without him, we wouldn’t have had a window table at Jules Verne. Without him, we wouldn’t have even known about Paradis Latin (and then he got us best seats in the house). And there were so many other things he did for us that smoothed our days and sent us to lovely places.

So my friend and I definitely give Hotel Madison and Concierge Sanjay Kaloya a rousing five stars.

A fantastic hotel! Every aspect, from the rooms to the lobby—and everything in between—is elegant and chic, down to the tiniest details. The ambiance is plush and luxurious, creating a truly exceptional experience. Located in one of the most desirable areas of Paris, it's perfectly situated for exploring the city. The staff are warm and accommodating; they went out of their way to upgrade our room because it was a special occasion. I highly recommend staying here—you won’t regret it.

The service is what absolutely stands out about this hotel –aside from the outstanding location. Sanjay as lead concierge, Sophie and Diana at reception and other staff for in room cleaning were an absolute delight and helpful in every possible way. You will feel extremely well taken care of at this hotel which matches 5 star experiences if they remain and the hotel maintains this standard of service. The rooms are nice (a big double window in ours for example). As far as the location, you can reach so many major sites and neighborhoods in Paris on foot typically within 25 mins (or approximately 1km). A hotel to return to (we miss it). We had the most amazing experience at the Madison Hotel. Upon arrival we were told we had been upgraded as it was our honeymoon and the view from our room was incredible. All the staff were so lovely and helpful, ensuring we had an amazing stay. To top it all off, the location was incredible and we felt so safe even at night. We will recommend to any friends travelling to Paris and we hope to return!

My family of 4 stayed in one of the larger suites/apartments at Madison Hotel for four night the first week of July and we would highly recommend this hotel. The staff were great and fast to answer questions or provide any needs we had. We had great views from our room. Sanjay was great getting us tickets for a tour that was sold out online. Our room was beautiful and generous in size especially for Paris. We would love to come back to the Madison.

Edward and Diane went above and beyond to make our anniversary stay spectacular and so memorable. They are attentive, thoughtful, and quick to address any concerns we had. We loved our room with a balcony from where we would enjoy our champagne while watching people go by on Boulevard Saint Germain. This hotel is centrally located and super easy access to two metro stations. Being able to do laundry for free was a huge plus. Would highly recommend!

Really great location in the heart of the city. We could walk everywhere. The hotel rooms are also great. They are up-to-date, clean, comfortable. The staff are super friendly and helpful. They also speak perfect English, if you need that. Highly recommend.

Yes, the rooms are small. BUT you are staying 2 mins from the iconic locations in the 6th arrondissement of Paris... Deux Magots and Café de Flore cafes, Brasserie Lipp, all the shops and restaurants of Boulevard St Germain, Rue de Buci etc. etc. The rooms are tastefully decorated, the bathrooms modern and the service is EXCELLENT. Highly recommended!

Walking distance to a lot of bistros and shopping . Metro close by and San Germaine is a great area . Staff is very friendly and helpful

The Hotel Madison is located in the St Germain area of Paris. It is an excellent location for restaurants and the tourist sights. The concierge, Sanjay Kalyan, was extremely helpful in suggestions for restaurants and making reservations for our group. Always responded to our questions. The staff at the hotel, including the amazing Alex, at the front desk, assisted us with directions and even interpreting emails we received in French. The hotel was immaculate and carefully followed all Covid protocols. Absolutely recommend the Hotel Madison!
