Reviews
The region is also very good, close to subway stations, bars and restaurants so it was easy to move around the city and also to grab a bite close when we wanted!
Definitely recommend it!!
I do not understand how this hotel is four stars. It's like a B&B. The photos on booking.com etc. are completely misleading. The room was not very spacious and the paint flaking from the wall, the bathroom was low quality. Very small and hard to get around in. Two coffees and teas - neither of which were replenished at any point of our stay. The bathrobe and slippers they give you in the room are dirt cheap and scratchy - my partner's actually ripped when he put it on.
The site says there's a bar? If there is one I had no idea where it was. There's a small room at the entrance with a bottle of champagne there that looks decorative. Was that the bar? Who knows. It looked like the waiting area of a bougie dentists.
The staff are pretty rude. There was one guy on reception during a night shift who was lovely, but the rest were abrasive and patronising. To be honest though, the whole city is like that.
On that note, its greatest strength is its location. You are so close to the heart of the city and it is very easy to access the big locations from there on foot. There are also some fantastic South Asian restaurants nearby which I can't recommend highly enough.
It's not the worst hotel I've ever stayed in by a long shot, but four stars? Absolutely no idea how it got that rating. It's certainly overpriced.
We booked back in December when we were really worried about getting hotels in Paris - paying €600 for their Privilege room. At the time of check-in they were offering the same room at €370.
I would not recommend this hotel - disregarding the premium we paid - I felt we were scammed with our stay - the hotel’s website is completely false advertising when it comes to the room - had we known how deteriorated the rooms actually were, we’d never have booked.
The hotel advertises these beautiful, well-decorated, classic style rooms - the receptionist explained they’ve gone through a “renovation” where they’ve changed everything. It’s now dark, grey, and feels extremely outdated - with dirty carpets, peeling paint, scuffed up furniture. Interesting “renovation”.
The rooms are entirely bare bones - do not expect a “4 star” stay:
-Furniture and walls are completely scuffed up, paint is peeling, and tiles are missing from the bathroom
-Dark rooms. Weird velvet sheets (yuck - not sure how you can clean those between guests). Uncomfortable beds
-No/minimal decor
-No bathrobes, slippers, coffee maker or any other “extras”. You can request an iron and ironing board at the front desk.
The pictures on the website DO NOT reflect the actual rooms and it’s incredible how lazy they’ve been with the design and upkeep of their rooms yet somehow hold a “4 star” rating.
Wonderful job by the whole team members. They made us really happy.
Specially, Kateryna was very friendly and professional since the day we arrived and till we left!!!
We definitely will go back to that cute place in future if we go back to the paris.
I thank from bottom of my hert to whole team members, whom made our trip wonderful.
God bless all of you 🙏
A small hotel with a refined interior. Very comfortable rooms with wonderful beds. Sauna is magic. The best staff.
1- Customer services, this hotel will be proud of its employees as the best, very warm people, always smiling and attending you in time.. Just relax and conform. ( This time is very hard find kind people in customer services )
2- A total wellness time is more personal in a small hotel so they have time for you..
3- I travel alone I woman and my feels was safe in this location between of everything, my evening I did reservation to the SPA I orden my champagne just to have a Metime until going to attend the opera Paris.
4- Finally I can sleep very well, I wake up open my balcony window and drink my coffee and in the evening drink my Champagne with the sunset.
5- So I very happy and me back to Paris really I will stay here, Shopping, walk in the city but relax in Hotel&Spa Saint-Jacques.
Thank you my feel really happy.
With love
Myriam
