Hotel Whistler

be warn that this hotel has one elevator and it might be broken and they will not help you with your luggage. The elevator was broken at 6pm and it was still broken when we checked out at 9am the next day. The front desk stated that they cannot help with the luggage since she was by herself until her co-worker comes in. I asked when additional staff will be in since I am willing to wait and she stated 9:15 but they will still not be able to help with the luggage and that we needed to take the luggage down ourself. We were on the 4th floor.

I will not stay here again.

For starters, this is not a 4 star hotel by the way. It's a 3 star. Period. Absolutely wouldn't recommend, especially for the price. There are many, many better options. This hotel is really only useful if you have an early train.

First of all, the location is bad. Being by the train station means you're in a dirty part of town filled with shady late-night characters akin to a times square type crowd. You aren't even that close to the good parts of the 10th, let alone the rest of the city.

Onto the rooms: they're tiny and dingy. There is a central AC unit built in, but for some bizarre, ungodly reason, the hotel doesn't let you control them. You have to call the front desk to turn them on remotely, surprise surprise, they can't be reached. The only time I did finally reach them they were so stingy turning the AC on it might well not have been on at all. Honestly the stuffiest room I've ever stayed in.
