I had a great stay in a bunk room for my 4 days in Athens. The rooftop bar has an amazing view of both the Acropolis and the sunset (and so much more.) The staff was friendly and chill while maintaining a nice space for everyone to be. And it was close to the metro, a short walk to amazing restaurants, and a lot of both nightlife and daytime activities nearby. I will definitely come back whenever I find myself back in Athens.

I enjoyed my stay here, the rooms are nice and ensuite relatively clean. The only thing is the room are very cold (you have to go to reception to get a blanket/remote for A/C) and don’t come with a curtain - I would suggest a female only room rather than mixed. The area also isn’t the best, I didn’t feel super safe and refrained from walking outside when it got dark. I met some lovely people here though!

Location is great and rooms are fine! But incredibly noisy hostel, with a lot of people making loud noises during the whole night in the hallway. As well as the music. In the lounge there are not a lot of people open to conversation or getting to know each other. Most keep to themselves with reading or ear buds. Would not recommend going here per se if you are on your own

We stayed there for 3 nights end of June. There’s always someone at the reception if you need anything, which is really helpful. The rooftop bar is amazing, we met lovely people. The room and the bathroom were very clean. Beds are comfortable. There are big lockers in the room. We didn’t have any mini fridge in the room, but I know some did have one. The emplacement is great, near to the acropolis and plaka, but not the best neighborhood. We didn’t feel like walking alone around there. Overall a great experience

My stay at The Hawks was truly wonderful and heartwarming! I absolutely loved my room—it was cozy, spotless, and the service was excellent. The entire hostel was very clean and well-maintained. The location couldn’t be better: right in downtown, close to all the coolest spots.
Everyone I met was incredibly friendly and polite, which made the experience even more special. I had so much fun, especially hanging out on the rooftop!
I can wholeheartedly recommend The Hawks and will definitely be coming back for a second stay.

Wasn't sure what to expect when we arrived as the street it's on isn't the best.
But what a great room, we had a private double room with a bathroom.
It was clean spacious, and the bed was comfortable, fresh towels every day and bed made.
We received a welcome shot at the rooftop bar when we arrived.
The view of the acropolis from the bar at night is fantastic!! Especially if seeing it for the first time.
The welcome from George at reception was most welcome after a long day.
If I had to find fault, it would be peoples lack of regard for others staying at the hostel, aka noise when coming to and from the bar after midnight.
But all in all, it's a great stay.

Very clean, nice rooms for a good price. It's not too far from attractions like the Acropolis and museums. I paid for a private room but still found that I could hear people late at night in the hallway. So the sound barrier between room and hallway wasn't great. Other than that it's a very nice hostel!

Great location. Couple blocks away from the super touristy areas which makes finding cheap, delicious, local places to eat very easy.
Private room was large very clean and had a huge balcony. Very affordable.
Rooftop bar was quite large and had great views of the acropolis and the whole city.
Breakfast buffet was yummy and affordable. Staff were friendly. Highly recommend this hostel.

My friend and I arrived late at night. The check in was quick and easy and the staff was super friendly and helpful. We received our key card and went into the room. Upstairs we realised, that one of the beds had some blood stains and also the pillow. We just stayed for the night and left the next day.
When we told the receptionist, he was really friendly and took our reports seriously. We failed to ask for another bed during the night, which we would have gotten.
The breakfast is cheap and simple, 5€ for toast, egg and cheese. That’s a pretty fair rate for the area.
Service top, shower & bathroom top, price top, location top, but check your bed before going to sleep. Overall definitely one of the most friendly and clean hostels I’ve been so far.

+++ The stay was very enjoyable! The hostel was very clean, with good and varied breakfasts. I stayed in an 8-bed female dormitory, which was spacious with large windows, a private bathroom, air conditioning, and lockers (you need to bring your own padlock). The Sunday Sunset party on the hostel's rooftop was a great success, with an excellent DJ.
