Such a beautiful hotel. If youre on the top floors with a suite, you get an AMAZING large LARGE balcony with a view of the Acropolis. Also some of the most friendly warm and extremely beautiful/attractive staff/guests as well. This place is high class indeed and welcomes travelers from all over. Its close to the city center as well with lots to see and do around the area.
This well-known hotel features modern rooms with a well-stocked minibar—definitely a pleasant surprise compared to the empty minibar at the Intercontinental Vienna. If your budget allows, I highly recommend choosing a room with a view of the Acropolis; the sight of this ancient landmark in the distance is truly breathtaking. However, be aware that your view might be slightly obstructed by some odd...
I’m an IHG loyalist. I can tell you the difference between the breakfast buffet at the Intercontinental hotels in Rome and Athens (sheeps milk yogurt vs honey in the comb) and quality is a hallmark of the experience. It’s a luxury hotel. That’s what you are paying for. The locations, the ambiance, and the service. Generally, everything is as close to perfect as one can get. We checked in last night...
Had a great stay at this hotel while visiting Athens, the location is ideal for exploring the city center and Acropolis using the nearby trams, buses, or metro. Staff were courteous and extremely helpful. They always went out of their way to be friendly and welcoming. Although the immediate surroundings look a bit dire the view from the rooftop restaurant and bar was absolutely stunning and more than...
My wife and I just stayed here for two nights. This is a fantastic Hotel with outstanding service. It was located perfectly for us and what we wanted to see. Today was our last day there. We left our bags with the doorman, as we were going to an island for the day and were going to return in the afternoon to collect our bags as we were heading to the airport this afternoon. When the taxi dropped us...
Stayed at this InterContinental in Athens and enjoyed it a lot. Great location, luxurious all around, and with decent amenities. The rooms were nice and large, well-maintained, and cozy to return to after spending time in Athens! Also a great location within Athens; close taxi ride to all the icons in the city. However, when we were checking in, one of the front desk ladies wasn’t all too understanding...

The hotel staff were all incredibly friendly and welcoming, especially this lovely lady Miss Xenia who helped me split my day tour into two days according to my flight schedule. She even allowed me to check out later, so I didn't have to rush for the flight. I could come back, take a nice shower, rest, and pack. The breakfast and room service food were delicious, and the rooftop pool offered an amazing...
We arrived after our early morning flight and the bellman were very polite and took our baggage straight to storage but the front desk was quite rude to us about how early we arrived - I didn’t ask to check in and didn’t expect to, so there was no need to be rude. We only had 1 day in Athens so being well located to the main sites was important. This hotel was walkable to everything including the...
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Divani Caravel hotel during a business trip, and I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for the exceptional service I received. I would like to extend a special thank you to your concierge, Xenia, who was incredibly helpful with every question and request. Her professionalism and attentiveness truly enhanced my stay. Additionally, I want to give...
Rooms were good n clean. Rooftop garden was nice but pool was very busy. Breakfast was great but Restaurant service / room service was horrible. We requested for 4 plates and 4 spoons - they asked for 12 euros per person plus additional 15 euros for Room delivery charges for just empty utensils. They were kind enough to give us plastic plates if we come down to get it. Next day, we asked for two plastic...
Excellent experience! Flight cancelled and sent to Devini Caravel. Gorgeous reception and beautiful room. Greek people so friendly and kind. Took very well care for us. Perfect setting in safe area. View from the pool of Acropolis and St George church. Food and service plentiful and diverse. Would come back to this hotel over and over.
We stayed at this Divani Caravel Athens in the last week of July and I must admit our experience was simply overwhelming and beyond expectations. The hotel room was exceptional , pool was great and overall location was very central to main centre square in Athens. The staff were great and assisted us in every possible manner however a special thanks goes to Dimitri’s Koursaris (hotel manager) whom...

One of the best Hiltons I’ve stayed at. The staff was friendly and helpful. As a diamond member we were upgraded to an acropolis view. They provided complimentary bottled water throughout our stay. The breakfast was amazing in the hotel restaurant and the drinks and view from the Galaxy bar are worth a visit. A great value for Award nights. I’d recommend anyone coming to Athens stay at this hotel.
Hotel is pretty large and grand, with a huge reception area. Some parts are a little dated but most looks clean and well looked after. Staff are friendly and attentive and you feel well looked after. It's not the cheapest place but the higher prices are justified
A fantastic hotel with the best views. The food in the rooftop restaurant was absolutely devine and the breakfasts were cooked to perfection. In the room itself, everything was easy to use and the pillows were the most comfortable I've ever had. I would definitely recommend and look forward to being able to return.
Really really great experience, from check-in to departure. Felt extremely valued as a Diamond member - front desk staff upgraded our room without even asking. Front desk staff was polite and professional and gracious. Room was fantastic - get the Acropolis view!!! Several restaurants behind the hotel within a 5 min walk. Location is great, 15 min walk from the marble Olympic stadium and literally...
my husband and I stayed at this hotel during our first trip to Greece and we had a very enjoyable stay! situated in a safe area between two metro stations, it was very convenient for getting around, although I quickly wished we'd stayed closer to Monastiraki Square as that's where we spent the most time. that said, this hotel was nice, if not a bit outdated. the breakfast was delicious and the rooftop...

I had the pleasure of staying at the Divani Apollon Palace & Thalasso in September for a work conference, and it was truly an outstanding experience. Not a 5 stars resort experience when compared to recent units on the Athens Riviera and…In urgent need of overall renovation, since the early 2000´s. F/B performance, breakfast buffet setting and quality « locked » on the stingy eighties standards: out of the hot buffet servings there us extra charge for eggs, 15€ for room service charge etc…
Our flights were cancelled so Aegean Air sent us to this hotel. While checking in, they handled bus loads of people with ease. They were polite, helpful, and caring. The rooms are fantastic, chock-full of free amenities and bonuses, even if the walls are a bit thin. The outdoor pool area is nothing short of stunning and we couldn't comprehend how expansive the gym/spa area was. It was a shame we were...
This is the second stay for our family at this hotel and once again it exceeded our expectations. Once again our stay was definitely worth every penny. Spacious room with an incredible view and a big pool to die for. The whole staff was very kind and friendly. However, we will never forget Mr. Antonis who provided excellent service along with his fluent English. He was also very kind to our friend's children. Definitely a favourite destination!

If you’re looking for a memorable stay in Athens, I can’t recommend this hotel enough. It’s truly a gem, made even better by the incredible team that ensures each guest feels valued. I recently had the pleasure of organizing a business meeting in Wyndham Grand Athens hotel, and I can't recommend it enough! The organization was impressive. We spent 3 nights in Athens at the Wyndham. The service was great. Reception was friendly, the hotel is clean with an excellent view of the Parthenon on the rooftop. The service at the restaurant was fantastic and the food was so delicious. Thank you Wyndham Grand. We would recommend this hotel for its location, close to hop on and hop off buses and public transport
Simply put, the staff is exceptional. As single parent traveling with young daughters, not only were the staff friendly, inviting and accommodating, they also made it their mission to make our stay perfect! Truth be told, this is our second stay and it was a non-negotiable that we stay at the Wyndham Grand! This coming from my daughters! Even in a neighborhood that shows all the facets of urban life...
Travel agent recommended this hotel, has a pool and breakfast at rooftop that can see Acropolis. It's a bit far from the historical centre which was hard to walk to in the heat of summer. Hotel carpet was smelly around The rooms, maybe from smoking but I did not like that the most about this hotel. Breakfast bar was great, they have free slippers and things for you to use but it's not that luxurious...
Room was fine, we booked for 3 people and one had to sleep on a couch which was a bit disappointing. Bottles of soap and shampoo/body wash were empty in our bathroom which was odd. The buffet was amazing. Great views of the Acropolis and great selection of food and drink. Upon checkout we were repeatedly told to leave a good review which was quite off putting to be honest. Overall good. Few suggestions

Stayed one night prior to transfer to the cruise ship. Air France misplaced luggage so we got into the hotel later than anticipated. For the little while we stayed there the hotel was great. The processed a lot of people in and out to the ships. Had dinner and breakfast in the hotel restaurant and was very good. Rooms were comfortable.
Great quality hotel! So far it’s been a great experience. We flew in with a group of about 70 people for a tour with discovery tours. We showed up at the hotel, 10 minutes later, we were all checked in and in our rooms. Excellent service. Nice, clean, and neat rooms. The buffet and other accommodation have been wonderful!
This review is specifically for the Great Room bar (the entire experience has been great but I want to focus on this bar for this review). Hotel that various cruise ships use. Mid Athens location. Lido grocery store a 9 minute walk - bread, cheese, wine. Four nearby restaurants. Hotel has a good breakfast buffet. About an hour drive to airport - taxi $50 or 50 erous. Small pool on roof and bar with scenic views.
Don’t be put off by location. This is a great place to stay and with a 10 mins bus ride you will be in town. Also the hop on hop off bus stops outside the hotel for a convenient tour. We have spent 4 days here and never felt the need after 8 hours of Hellenic heat to go out in the evening as there are nice local restaurant too. You literally walk across the street from arrivals and you’re in the hotel. It couldn’t be any more convenient. Great friendly service and two restaurants to choose from. The rooms are so quiet you’d never know you were staying at the airport.
Baggage claim to hotel in under a minute - it's the perfect location when only staying a short time in Athens. The room was nice and very clean and the service was exceptional. Everyone who worked there was friendly, helpful, and knew what they were doing. As a bonus, airport hotels can sometimes get a lot of plane noise, but the Sofitel was exceptionally quiet.
I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Sofitel Athens Airport, and it was a remarkable experience. We stayed at the Electra Metropolis Hotel during the first two nights of our Greece honeymoon trip. Electra Metropolis in Athens is a fantastic hotel with an unbeatable central location. The rooms are modern and comfortable, and the rooftop restaurant offers stunning views of the Acropolis. The staff are friendly and attentive, making for a perfect stay. Highly recommended!
The staff was welcoming, attentive, and always ready to help with anything I needed. The location is absolutely perfect—right in the heart of the city, within walking distance of major sites like Syntagma Square and the Acropolis, along with great shops and restaurants nearby. Electra Metropolis exceeded all expectations. Our room was beautiful, with a wrap-around balcony - with two olive trees and unbelievable views. I so wanted to rate this hotel a 5/5. The hotel itself is beautiful and it’s in the perfect location with breathtaking views of Athens and the Acropolis from the rooftop restaurant. Very nice resort, world, class staff. Great spa. Mercado, the property’s casual dining venue, delivers a great experience, 100% of the time. I could go on however, the bottom line is five star experience in every sense.
Beautiful resort like hotel. The staff were the most friendly and helpful. I gave 4 stars to the rooms is because there was not enough lighting but that seems normal in Greece.
It just doesn’t get any better than this hotel. It is an extraordinary upgrade from the long string of hotels that preceded it as this location. All the comforts a person could look for in a visit to Greece are there, from five fine restaurants (everything from Michelin Stars to an excellent Greek taverna), exceptional views of the Aegean, and beautifully appointed rooms loaded with amenities. A nice hotel with excellent service. The location is close to everything you would want to see in Athens! Rooms were pretty clean but they are a little dated. The breakfast had a good selection of items from bacon, sausage, eggs, fruit and pastries. The only comment on the breakfast would be the coffee and cappuccinos didn't taste great. Overall a nice hotel if you're visiting Athens!
The rooms are large! Rooms are clean! The staff is very accommodating. We enjoyed a breakfast buffet. There is a bar open in the evening on the mezzanine level. There is a restaurant in the lobby. Be aware that this hotel does not have a pool. This hotel was picked as part of our tour. Overall this hotel is a good choice.
Probably the noisiest hotel I have ever stayed at. The bedroom doors are very thin and you can hear housekeepings every move knock and bang, even the noise of plastic bags rustling. I’m sure another room or floor may have been different but even 6 floors up no peace! I leave my room impeccable and do not use all the towels and clutter available, so how about some mutual respect in the morning, smashing...
We actually checked in on the day after we were supposed to. My travel agents fault. No problem, they moved the day of check in and off we went. Took all of 5 minutes to correct and we were given a beautiful room with a view of the Acropolis. Rarely will you stay at such a clean, friendly and generous place. And even the bed was incredible. Great place to go for a late night after drink. After having dinner downtown, we decided to walk up to the rooftop bar and check it out. The view was so awesome. We decided to stay for a nightcap. An Amazing place to stay in Athens. Great Location with spectacular views from the roof top bar and the pool. Close to everything you need and the service is amazing. The staff were always willing to help in anything we asked for. Would highly recommend.
All about the location really, great for a night stop before flying home if you’ve been to the islands. Recommend a meal out in Plaka. Taxi back to the airport is a lot quicker from here than anywhere else in Athens. Rooms are what you’d expect in a city centre hotel. Premises and location were excellent. Room was spacious and immaculate, as you would expect. The thing which was disconcerting, however, was that staff morale seemed very low throughout our stay. I do not believe this property reflects a 4 star hotel by definition. Let's start with location...It is located in a not so atheistically pleasing part of Athens so be careful walking around the neighborhood. The rooms are too small and very outdated. A very nice four to five star hotel in downtown Athens. Our stay there was superb with rooftop dining and a marvelous view of the city. Highly recommend the mojitos!
We stayed at this hotel twice. The first time our room was very small with two beds together instead of one big bed. The second room was much bigger with one bed, but no balcony like the first one had. The rooftop bar has a decent view of the Acropolis, but it's nothing like the pictures online.

Loved this hotel. Very convenient for walks to the city centre and historical sites in Athens. The sky lounge is very popular for an afternoon swim and sun. It becomes magical at night for a romantic dinner with a view of the Acropolis.
I was very comfortable staying here, all staff were friendly and greeted me with a warm smile. I would highly recommend. Beautiful view of The Acropolis from the roof restaurant and bar!!
I would have given this hotel 5 stars if it were not for the welcome we received upon our arrival. Our overseas flight landed at 8 am and we were at this hotel by 10. We could not get a room until 2 pm! This was after a long day of traveling. After speaking with other hotel guests, this seems to be a persistent problem. Suggestions, perhaps? Even if you could spare a glass of water and a cool...
I had a great stay in Athens—my second visit after 11 years, and the experience was just as good as I remembered. Location: While the hotel is slightly removed from the city’s main attractions, it's only a 15-minute walk or a quick 5-minute metro ride to the lively parts of town. The Omonia metro station is conveniently close by. Room: The room was well-furnished and spacious enough to accommodate...
This was our first time staying at this hotel chain and we were pleasantly surprised. The customer service was top notch, every single person was attentive and went out of their way to assist us. The rooms were very nice and the beds were very comfy. The roof that bar was really nice and had great views. I personally wouldn’t stay at this hotel again due to the location. I would stay at this chain...
Great hotel with very helpful receptionists. Arrived late midnight but being warmly greeted by Alex the receptionist, it makes me feel at home after a busy travel day. The breakfast was great and not crowded. Close to metro stations and several places of interests & museums. I would definitely recommend and will be happy to return to the place in the future.

This is a great value conveniently located hotel in Athens beside the Omonia metro station. A smart rooftop pool and bar area, good breakfast and above all friendly staff. I must commend one of the reception staff who went above and beyond in his interactions with us.
A great location in middle of Athens near the Omonoia square. Room service was always good, hotel service “reception” was great too except the time when we arrived they were ok making a silly assumption. There is a pool “not a swimming one” and a bar with a great view. You can have a cocktail while sun bathing. Will stay there again when I come back
Perfect location, to all attractions. Lots of taxi choices or 2 stops on metro. Really easy. Can get a 5 day metro card for 8 euros. Staff amazing and friendly. Food perfect and hotel really clean and perfect decoration for a city break. If there was one negative- we stayed when it was extremely hot. Only 4/5 umbrella available which meant a lot of sunbeds/ seats in direct sun. So it was a race in...
Amazing hotel, they do think of everything! Perfectly located, extremely modern, clean, amazing decor and scent. Super rooftop bar with pool and jacuzzi looking over the Acropolis. There’s massage service and gym and restaurant with beautiful food. But above all the staff is beyond friendly and helpful, down to the last cleaning lady. Kristos from reception was so nice,he welcomed us after a long journey...
Had a wonderful stay over Easter. Great location with transport links, local shops and eateries. Roof terrace is lovely with amazing views across the city. Rooms are really nice but they are quite dark and lacking on storage space. Cleaned every day to a high standard. Breakfast is absolutely amazing! So much choice and everything was always fresh. Something for everyone. All the staff are truly lovely...
We visited Brown Lighthouse in September 2023 and really enjoyed our stay! The food was really good from the hotel restaurents and the breakfast was good too! The room was very functional and the layout was great - we were in room 709 and the view of the fountain was lovely, in the day and the night! There were a few things, service wise, that we were not happy about - like having to ask for our...
The hotel is just across the street from the subway red line , three stops from the acropolis and at 1.20euro one way per person. The hop on and off bus was there as well . The breakfast was included with the room cost and was fantastic ! The view of the acropolis at night is not to be missed . The staff exceptional, the room European . Great stay all around. The neighborhood, well ????but local restaurants...
Very close to the stop for the red go on go off bus. Everywhere we needed to go was within walking distance. We only ate breakfast in the hotel. The standard was very high. Such an array of choices, definitely recommend it.
The view from the balcony... there is no view. It's worthless to paid additional for balcony. The view is of an empty building and you can't see the sun. The lights on the balcony are on until about midnight The room is dark, but it's personal preferences
The location of the hotel is excellent, we were afraid of all the warnings about homeless people and the danger of walking around the square, there is no problem, even late at night the square is crowded with tourists and there is no danger, regarding homeless people, we saw them everywhere. Handled any problem quickly and efficiently

Coco-Mat BC Hotel is an absolute gem! The combination of luxury, sustainability, and impeccable service makes it stand out. The natural Coco-Mat mattresses guarantee an amazing sleep. The location is perfect for exploring Athens, and the staff goes above and beyond. Highly recommended for a truly relaxing and eco-conscious stay!
Booked this place for my parents and they LOVED it! The breakfast was outstanding and especially the service!! They were so welcoming and I’ve never seen such good service. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfy. The location was outstanding it was so central and I definitely would recommended anyone coming to coco mat
Little hotel in the Plaka. We were a 5 minute walk from the entrance of the acropolis. If you want to be up close to the tourist attractions, this is a good hotel for you. The rooms are spartan. They lack storage for clothes (no dresser) and the closets are tiny with only 5 hangers. They do offer an iron and ironing board though. A second chair for a room for two would have been nice. We had...
I wanted to praise this hotel and highlighting first and foremost, how responsive and attentive the staff was. From the doormen,to the reception and the housekeepers. The location is prime. A short walk to the Acropolis, museum, and phenomenal nearby flea market. You can find some of the best linen dresses in the world and bargain when buying multiple. The variety and abundance of restaurants was great...
I recently stayed at Coco-Mat Athens BC and overall, it was a decent experience, but with some important caveats. This hotel is not a 5-star property, and I’d rate it as a solid 3-star. While it has some positives, there are a few issues that potential guests should be aware of. Positives: - Location:The hotel is extremely well-located, especially if you're planning to visit the Acropolis. You can...
Perfect place to stay for our time in Athens, the location is steps from the Acropolis. Lots of good quality restaurants nearby. The staff are incredible they upgraded us on arrival to a room with a balcony and SPECIAL shout out to DIMITRIA at front desk who arranged for a Bottle of wine and basket of fruit to be sent to our room. Not sure why 😆 but she was so lovely and we really appreciated the kind...
The location was in the heart of the city with breathtaking views of the Acropolis, and Parthenon Museum. We enjoyed our stay & love the area and services of this hotel. We will return again! The roof-top bar / Restaurant and pool are amazing!! meals were great and the drink flowing! The beds were comfortable, and the room was clean, and small compared to Texas rooms! We loved it anyway! Super clean...
the hotel is located in two minutes walking distance from Akropolis Museum and a few minutes walking distance from Akropolis ,Odeon of Herodes Atticus, and a number of very important landmarks of Athens. Very close to the picturesque Plaka, Monastiraki , Syntagma Square etc. Ideal place to stay when you wish to visit Athens. Very comfortable and clean room. I found everything I needed to make my stay...
Perfect location in beautiful neighbourhood close to Acropolis Amazing bed. The hotel, including the room, was beautiful and true pleasure to stay in. Super friendly and serviceminded staff

Excellent hotel located to the beautiful south cost of Athens walking distance from the beach. Very tasteful local dishes are provided to the hotel restaurant. Very friendly personnel.
I was at the hotel for a conference, but I did not stay overnight. I used the restaurant for both lunch and dinner, and their dishes never disappointed me. The location of the hotel is excellent, with the only drawback being the very small parking lot.
I stayed at the Margi for one night in transit between the Cyclades and my flight out of Athens. The service from all staff members was impeccable, but I particularly appreciated the wait staff at Malabar. Our server at dinner gave us some excellent recommendations that led to a delicious and very satisfying meal. I took advantage of the spa services and it was one of the most comfortable spa experiences...
Very nice pool area with a great bartender. Tiny pool though and not very attentive staff. Rooms are good, nice standard and the whole hotel as such feels good and comfortable. The food is very good and so is the breakfast. Close to the beaches.
Room as well kept. A bit small for United States standards but decent for European standards. Hotel service was excellent. Breakfast was great. Bar was great. Relaxing environment. Walkable to some nearby areas.
A perfect gem in the most beautiful place outside of Athens. Great service - and the breakfast the best you can get. I can’t wait to come back for more of everything 😊

Stayed here for one night before we got the ferry to the islands. Area is a bit seedy, with sex shows and clubs on the road. That being said, it is close to the heart of the city (25 min walk) and the hotel itself is clean, modern and has friendly/helpful staff. Decent value too. Room was really big and new. Would recommend if you need to stay somewhere for one night.
Just checked in today... What a place!!! The room is beautifully designed and clean, the view is epic for a city centre, was greeted by friendly and helpful staff, there is nothing they will not try and do for you. The booking company told us we could check in earlier than we could, but they looked after us non the less and made what could have been a bad experience into a positive... Praises out...
A great experience. Friendly staff, Great coffee and pretty straight forward breakfast. The room was very clean, A/C was quite strong and the water pressure was awesome. The staff was very helpful in accommodating me for an extra night and at a discounted rate although Athens was almost out of rooms. This is a great place to stay at for a business trip or even for tourism if you are exploring Athens...
