I give this hotel 3 stars because my experience was mixed. The room was a very bad experience. There was a lot of noise coming from the balcony. The glass and window frame are not soundproof at all — I could hear everything outside, like I was sitting on a terrace facing the road, even though my room was 820. I’ve stayed in many hotels before and never had this issue.
The fridge was very old and extremely...
Stayed in one of the suites for 6 nights. Room and hotel are lovely and not a bad location if you’re happy walking/using public transport to get to some busier areas.
Unfortunately not the best experience with the staff. We had a difficult situation where in which I asked if we could extend our stay an extra night and was happy to change room. After standing for an eternity whilst reception called...
Best Views of the Acropolis from The Roof Top Sweet Basil Restaurant. The staff was generous to provide an upgrade with access to breakfast on the 9th floor giving a panaromic view of the city. The rooms and washrooms were cleaned daily along with towels. The hotel is in a decent and quiet location and you have the Metaxourgieo Metro Station just few steps away. Only downside is the size of the washroom...
I came to Athens to celebrated my birthday and The Stanley was a great addition to this trip. Paris, our Bellman, was amazing! He helped us with all our luggage, suggested local restaurants and taverns to check out, and was so friendly. Be sure to ask for him personally! Big shout out to all the bell desk team, they were unloading bus loads of luggage! They work so hard, give them raises!
Amazing...
The room wasn’t huge, but it was very comfortable, cozy, and beautifully kept. Cleanliness was on a really high level everything felt fresh and well taken care of.
The staff were incredibly kind, always smiling, and genuinely helpful with anything we needed, which made the whole stay feel so warm and welcoming.
The rooftop was absolutely amazing a breathtaking view and a relaxing pool. Breakfast was...
Great hotel! Great location, coffee food and cocktails!
Room was always cleaned, breakfast is okay!
Only thing is the pool is always so busy, very hard to get a seat at times.
But would stay again regardless :)

A pleasant trip, unforgettable experience, convenient transportation, beautiful environment, clean and comfortable hotel, generally satisfactory, the facilities are a bit old, the details need to be improved
Really liked the rooftop bar/restraurant with view of acropolis.
Was also allowed access to room early & upgraded to premium room so really pleased with this hotel.
Conveniently located close to 2 metro stations, nice room, friendly service, good breakfast, several good options for lunch/dinner in walking distance.
In the morning a lot of noise wake you up from 7.30. The cleaning Pakistani guys room was next to our rooms…
I have led multiple groups overseas. This is a fantastic hotel. Centrally located. Excellent food rooms are clean and very comfortable. The rooftop restaurant and bar has an unbelievable view of the Acropolis. Highly recommend.
Even though the hotel is an older one, service was excellent - the staff was very attentive and friendly. Breakfast and coffee were excellent and the rooftop view was a fabulous one. The elevators are busy in the morning as can be the breakfast bar at around 8 so get to there early!

The guest relation manager John iş the best told him it was my mama birthday he organized it amazing gifted us two bottles of wine and macarons . Even write a handwritten letter, very cute thank you. The hotel breakfast was bomb , pool is small not like in the pictures . Room amazing stylish , fancy . Everything great . Thanks John
Really nice stay at this hotel. The location is perfect - the breakfast really good quality.
Air con :)
Fitness center good.
Roof top pool small but nice when the weather is really hot.
We really enjoy our stay.
Great hotel with excellent service! It's perfectly located. Big thanks to Luis and Alexandra at the reception for making my stay even better!
Many defaults in the room. Broken window. Bad air-condition.
Pool was very cold
This is a great value conveniently located hotel in Athens beside the Omonia metro station. A smart rooftop pool and bar area, good breakfast and above all friendly staff. I must commend one of the reception staff who went above and beyond in his interactions with us.
A great location in middle of Athens near the Omonoia square.
Room service was always good, hotel service “reception” was great too except the time when we arrived they were ok making a silly assumption.
There is a pool “not a swimming one” and a bar with a great view. You can have a cocktail while sun bathing.
Will stay there again when I come back
The hotel is just across the street from the subway red line , three stops from the acropolis and at 1.20euro one way per person. The hop on and off bus was there as well . The breakfast was included with the room cost and was fantastic ! The view of the acropolis at night is not to be missed . The staff exceptional, the room European . Great stay all around. The neighborhood, well ????but local restaurants...
Very close to the stop for the red go on go off bus. Everywhere we needed to go was within walking distance. We only ate breakfast in the hotel. The standard was very high. Such an array of choices, definitely recommend it.

The hotel entrance is unassuming. On the day we arrived, the member of staff on reception was unhappy and bored. No smiles to spare, after a perfunctory greeting, check in was quick and efficient. Areas were pointed out, times of breakfast were underlined.
There were much friendlier members of staff later on in our stay, Olga for example lovely.
I soon realised that we were the youngest folk in the...
Nice hotel, very open and helpful personnel. Beds could ve miee comfortable and I missed drinking water in a room (it was available only for extra charge). The location was good in general, close to public transport and old city, but the area by itself not so nice.
Lovely hotel with very kind Staff . Breakfast and buffet was delicious. Food was fresh and staff over there amazing. They doing fantastic job with smile. Im sure you will enjoy your stay. Rooms are clean and big with comfortable beds. Hotel inside is exclusive + from hotel you can easy walk around. Many restaurants ,shops etc. All stay was amazing . thank you :)
I highly recommend the Melia. We had spent a couple of weeks in France, and had got used to overpaying for dingy little hotel rooms, especially in Paris and Lyon. The Melia is not a budget hotel, but it's good value. The rooms and other facilities are very nice. Danae at check-in was very pleasant and helpful, and started our visit to Greece on a positive note. We were tired and ended up having dinner...
Some amazing people work here!!!
Olga at the front desk will and can answer any question and her English is fantastic.
Gewrgia, roof top bar waitress is excellent and very funny,is the entertainment
When you go ask for Georgia, tell her you heard she was funny. The room was clean and comfy, changed plans to come here again in the way out.
Beautiful hotel in a great location for food and for touring the sites. Service in the hotel was amazing. The hot tub wasn't working during our stay, and given the weather the pool was too cold to go in. The pool area closes kind of early and it would be nice to be able to enjoy the view from their later at night, but otherwise, very well kept establishment. Our tour, Gate 1, selected this hotel. It appears this is the tour group capital of Athens, as many tours passed through here. Great for the hotel, guaranteed income, not so much for the patron. The rooms were a decent size. They will not let you check in until 3 PM, even though our key was ready on the counter long before. The front desk is not particularly friendly, nor helpful. The breakfast...
A 3-star hotel, the air conditioner needs service (constant squeaking), beds are old and hard, no early check-in, this hotel used for tour groups so the waiting area is constantly full with no seating. This area of Athens has little to offer for visitors.
My wife and I stayed here in August 2025, the hotel itself wasn’t the most luxurious but very comfortable. The rooms were spacious enough for the two of us and nice and clean, the beds were also comfortable.the staff in both the foyer and dining areas were friendly and helpful with any questions we had and the food was quite nice. The room service for food was excellent and quick.

Great location for travelers. Groceries and laundry right across the street. Very good family owned restaurants within walking distance. Rooftop pool offers a view of the city and cold beverages. Hotel was good . Breakfast was ok . The only thing we paid tax 30 pounds and when we get there they charged again 30 euros for tax . They didn’t let us in till they get the money but I called agent and they said you should not pay extra money.they are scammers.
Close to Kato Patisia metro station. Good breakfast, location is OK. Not the best area in Athens but it was a good money for value.
It is clean and no facilities to make tea/ coffee. No water provided. The staff were not polite.
Breakfast is good. No tourists information available
Disappointing Stay – Not Worth the 4-Star Claim
I stayed at Xenophon Hotel in Athens and was quite disappointed. Although the hotel claims to be 4-star, that rating likely dates back to when the building was renovated for the Olympics.
The exterior and interior feel old and worn. The bathroom was especially underwhelming — very small shower area with a dirty, wet curtain constantly brushing against...
A big hotel close from the metro station Kato Patisia (10-minute ride to the center). The room was spacious and very clean. The breakfast could be improved. Overall, it could be a good alternative to city center hotels if you can manage the transportation.
Hotel is near to bus stop, Metro station. B. Fast is OK . Cleanliness is OK. Rooms are not so much isolated as you can hear many sounds fun other rooms. Good value for the price.

I was impressed with this hotel for the price I paid. Very centralised, with the metro station right there. Restaurants, shops, supermarkets only steps away. The hotel itself is very comfortable. Lovely hotel with loads of amenities and such lovely staff! Breakfast was fantastic and I found a gem, the honey comb, was to die for! 😋
Overall good experience ,solo travellers look for solo rooms for a great deal.easy access to metro and all main attractions within 2-3 kms.
This was my third stay at this hotel, although the start was a bit bumpy as the very nice jacuzzis at the rooftop were not activated at check-in, the manager immediately tried to find a solution and a short time later the jacuzzis were usable. The rooms are fine, the beds are very comfortable and the breakfast is exceptionally good. If you like a quirky hotel, then this is for you. It has a 60s theme but with 70s music constantly playing. The decor is disco themed and they even have disco balls outside the lifts.

The hotel lobby is spacious. Restaurant has decent food. They offer airport transportation shuttle service. There’s a gas station/cafe right cross the parking lot that sells food & snacks which much cheaper than the hotel. The king room standard I selected was very spacious. The bathroom was a decent size as well.
Overall I recommend this hotel & I would stay here again.
Very clean and excellent hotel. Staff at the front were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was good with a generous variety of food. Glad they had a shuttle service to and from hotel/airport, huge plus! Be mindful the bus from airport to hotel runs hourly and on time. Fortunately we were able to flag the bus driver and he stopped to let us get on last minute! Highly recommend this hotel!

Missed opportunity. The rooftop was fabulous. It has a pool, restaurant and bar with an amazing view of the Acropolis. The location is not bad. Close to the metro. What can I say but what an amazing hotel ! Breakfast buffet amazing ! Staff were wonderful. Very friendly with quick service provided. Lovely room . Very clean . Pool cold 🥶 but when it gets too hot good to get into . Good area to stay in. Close to everything and in walkable distance .
The hotel is located in a walking distance from the Acropolis which is helpful as a tourist. However since it is situated next door to the market, it tends to be a bit noisy and not so touristy looking. The closeness to market can be great to see many non-touristy sights and it would give a different perspective of Athens. The facilities in the hotel are all great and I loved the breakfast spread...
This is the second time I’ve stayed in the Fresh hotel and it is just as great as the first time. The decor and amenities are second to none and it has such a cool vibe about it. The rooms are spacious and well equipped and the air conditioning is great on hot days. The rooftop pool are is fantastic although it can get quite busy and people tend to hold the loungers for a long time which is a bit annoying...
Really nice hotel. Excellent restaurant with roof top pool. Lots of room to lay out and enjoy the quiet 9 floors above street level. Room was adequate, bathroom was smallish. Elevators are quite small. Difficult to fit 2 people with cruise (read large) suitcases. Reasonable price. Would definitely be recommend.
I hosted a conference for 40 people at the hotel, and couldn't have asked for better service. From the management to the bellhops, everyone working at Fresh Hotel was helpful, kind, and courteous. The food served at both breakfast and private lunch was varied and of high quality.
The hotel rooms themselves are also good.

We had a great stay here. The staff were very pleasant, friendly and helpful.
The hotel is clean, modern, with a great rooftop restaurant and pool with great views of the Acropolis, especially when lit up at night.
The buffet breakfast is good value with a great selection to choose from, although I found the hot food cold, I still ate it as I'm not fussy but the wife didn't.

Good room, good access to city
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Novotel Athens, and I must say it was a wonderful experience overall. The hotel itself is modern, clean, and offers excellent facilities that truly enhance your stay. From the moment you walk into the lobby, you’re greeted with warm hospitality and a sleek, professional atmosphere that sets the tone for a relaxing visit.
One of the highlights of my stay was...
Good hotel, no air conditioning in the rooms and very hot, the location is not pleasant, not recommended for walking here. The center is close but you need a taxi.
Get ready to welcome not such a presentable district of Athens as you can expect. It’s not like Sintagma where all fashionable hotels and restaurants are located. Anyway the hotel is literally close to the railway station and a few metro stations. Also u can just walk 10 mins and reach National Archeological Museum (never miss it cuz u’ll find there lots of things to explore about Ancient Greece).

Great hotel. Nice facilities and clean. Came here and booked last minute and walked in and got 2 rooms. Centre location in Athens. Lovely staff. Nice breakfast options and a good view of the acropolis at breakfast. Cost 187 for a room for a night. See below for the view from breakfast.
In the heart of the city so we had immediate access to the main street for shopping, multiple excellent brunch/cafe shops, and even a street party of young adults. But comfortable rooms, good facilities, and their version of room service is a great idea - a selection of local eateries offering some of their popular dishes available for delivery, with the reception calling you when it’s down there ready for pickup. Unfortunately, only down side is the...

Very friendly staff. clean room. Amazing rooftop bar. Fantastic breakfast buffet. Highly recommend.
The location is good, but the hotel facilities are average, the room size and sanitary environment need to be improved.
Easy access and near the train station next to me Zara
The family room is average, the window is an interior view, looking out to an atrium. There is no sun, and the sofa bed is average in texture. The bottled water in the refrigerator seems to be charged, but I didn't drink it anyway. The advantage is that the breakfast is very rich. One meal is enough for half a day.
Nice hotel good service. Nice breakfast
I arrived at the hotel around 9 am and room was not ready. We kept our luggage at the hotel and were back around 5pm. After getting back the luggage, we proactively approached the receptionist for check-in. He checked my passport and asked me to show the hotel voucher. I was wondering the computer system should have our record after checking the passport. I haven’t been asked to show voucher with booking...

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Athens. The room was comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious with a great variety of local options. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Athens!
Great hotel. Great room. Great staff.
Great hotel. Friendly welcoming staff. Comfortable bed and well appointed room.
Spacious recently renovated room with great design ideas. I really liked the bathroom, one person could shower and at the same time the other person could use the toilet with privacy. Very nice breakfast, with a wide selection of food, and a large variety of milk alternatives. Staff super friendly willing to help at all times. Very clean property with lots of nice spaces for meetings and areas to socialise...
I had eyes surgery in Athens ,the hotel staff has been very kind and helpful, thanks a lot, will back again for sure

Fabulous! Very clean and smart hotel. Friendly helpful members of staff. Would definitely recommend ☺️
Room, services and breakfast are great. My room was facing the main road thus traffic noise throughout the night
Decent hotel with friendly and helpful staff.
Next to the main road, it is very convenient to take a taxi, and there is Chinese food nearby! Good review
Good location and cheap, it is definitely the king of cost-effectiveness of four-star hotels in Athens, highly recommended
Stains on the sofa. Dark lightening. More importantly, there was a serious water flow problem for showering and washing faces, and they cannot fix the issue. We could not even clean ourselves properly. The location is not that good.
Hotel has good facilities, is nice and provided the necessary without being too overwhelmed or posh. good deal for medium class. The hotel was exactly what we were looking for.
