Such a beautiful hotel. If youre on the top floors with a suite, you get an AMAZING large LARGE balcony with a view of the Acropolis. Also some of the most friendly warm and extremely beautiful/attractive staff/guests as well. This place is high class indeed and welcomes travelers from all over. Its close to the city center as well with lots to see and do around the area.
This well-known hotel features modern rooms with a well-stocked minibar—definitely a pleasant surprise compared to the empty minibar at the Intercontinental Vienna. If your budget allows, I highly recommend choosing a room with a view of the Acropolis; the sight of this ancient landmark in the distance is truly breathtaking. However, be aware that your view might be slightly obstructed by some odd...
I’m an IHG loyalist. I can tell you the difference between the breakfast buffet at the Intercontinental hotels in Rome and Athens (sheeps milk yogurt vs honey in the comb) and quality is a hallmark of the experience. It’s a luxury hotel. That’s what you are paying for. The locations, the ambiance, and the service. Generally, everything is as close to perfect as one can get.
We checked in last night...
Had a great stay at this hotel while visiting Athens, the location is ideal for exploring the city center and Acropolis using the nearby trams, buses, or metro. Staff were courteous and extremely helpful. They always went out of their way to be friendly and welcoming. Although the immediate surroundings look a bit dire the view from the rooftop restaurant and bar was absolutely stunning and more than...
My wife and I just stayed here for two nights. This is a fantastic Hotel with outstanding service. It was located perfectly for us and what we wanted to see. Today was our last day there. We left our bags with the doorman, as we were going to an island for the day and were going to return in the afternoon to collect our bags as we were heading to the airport this afternoon. When the taxi dropped us...
Stayed at this InterContinental in Athens and enjoyed it a lot. Great location, luxurious all around, and with decent amenities. The rooms were nice and large, well-maintained, and cozy to return to after spending time in Athens! Also a great location within Athens; close taxi ride to all the icons in the city.
However, when we were checking in, one of the front desk ladies wasn’t all too understanding...

A pleasant trip, unforgettable experience, convenient transportation, beautiful environment, clean and comfortable hotel, generally satisfactory, the facilities are a bit old, the details need to be improved
Really liked the rooftop bar/restraurant with view of acropolis.
Was also allowed access to room early & upgraded to premium room so really pleased with this hotel.
Conveniently located close to 2 metro stations, nice room, friendly service, good breakfast, several good options for lunch/dinner in walking distance.
It's a very old hotel. The hotel facilities are a bit old. I'm not used to their bathing. It's very convenient to take a taxi. The lobby is also very large. It's good to go shopping and eat around. The breakfast is rich. You can see the Acropolis from the hotel.
Very good hotel close 10 minutes walk from the center
Clean and tidy Excellent breakfast has all the options
Excellent value for money
In the morning a lot of noise wake you up from 7.30. The cleaning Pakistani guys room was next to our rooms…
The breakfast was very good and plentiful with lot of choices for kind of guests. The Food was fresh and tasty. The Front desk were very good and polite and attentive with all the guests. The house keeping was very good and had all the clean bedsheets and towels and all amenities were in plentiful. The room was cleaned everyday.

Great hotel! Great location, coffee food and cocktails!
Room was always cleaned, breakfast is okay!
Only thing is the pool is always so busy, very hard to get a seat at times.
But would stay again regardless :)
Staff was friendly and on the ball, quick service with a smile. Setting is stunning on the rooftop pool deck, and about an 8 minute walk to Monastaraki square with good things to see along the way. Thank you for a great stay!
Stayed for 3 nights after a NCL cruise. Perfect hotel. Staff are brilliant. Room was clean, comfortable and had complimentary cold beers, waters, red wine and coffee machine waiting. Staff speak good English and are always helpful, cheerful and friendly.
Thanks to the Hotel team for a nice welcome, great drinks (cocktails are super) , top quality food, and perfect service.
Lifts are very slow though
We stayed a week at the Stanley and enjoyed every minute of it. The rooftop pool is spectacular and the views are amazing. The rooms are comfortable. The hotel is centrally located with several good restaurants nearby. Best of all, the staff is very helpful and will arrange for cars, tours, etc.
We stayed 2 nights following our cruise. What a fabulous hotel! The location is great, the metro is just around the corner, 4 stops for the Acropolis, 3 stops for the parliament with changing of the guard and there are plenty of good restaurants and bars close by. The breakfast was plentiful, varied and good quality. We loved the rooftop bar and swimming pool and although we didn't use the restaurant...
We stayed at The Stanley for 3 nights. Each day we enjoyed views and drinks alike in the incredible rooftop bar; with views of lycabettus and the acropolis in sight. The pool was inviting. The service and food was incredible: specifically commendable staff members, were CHRISTOS our waiter when we enjoyed dinner at the Cloud 9 restaurant. He was kind, talkative and even suggested local drink and food...

I do not believe this property reflects a 4 star hotel by definition. Let's start with location...It is located in a not so atheistically pleasing part of Athens so be careful walking around the neighborhood. The rooms are too small and very outdated. I stayed at this place for a total of 5 nights on 3 separate occasions because of a group tour. First 2 nights the room was as small with a window that...
Excellent option in Athens!!! Warm and kind staff. Clean room, outstanding view from the rooftop restaurant and plenty of options for breakfast! It's a 5/5 recommendation for your trip in Athens.
We stayed at the Polis Grand a few times during our trip in Greece. The rooms were comfortable, and the staff were all very friendly and helpful! I wanted to call special attention to Costas! He was there almost every time we were in the lobby, and he made a point to remember us and greet us with familiarity, making the check in / check out process feel a lot smoother! I really appreciated him!!
I stayed there for nights with my Wife and Daughter, The Staff were so very nice. The Breakfast was buffet was amazing, every morning, so very much to choose from, it was amazing. The room was clean and I have to say that if this hotel is not a 5 star it should be !!!. If I go back again to Athens I will want to stay in this hotel. Thank you for the amazing hospitality, great breakfast, and the roof...
A very nice four to five star hotel in downtown Athens. Our stay there was superb with rooftop dining and a marvelous view of the city. Highly recommend the mojitos!
We stayed at this hotel twice. The first time our room was very small with two beds together instead of one big bed. The second room was much bigger with one bed, but no balcony like the first one had. The rooftop bar has a decent view of the Acropolis, but it's nothing like the pictures online.

When you go ask for Georgia, tell her you heard she was funny. The room was clean and comfy, changed plans to come here again in the way out.
Beautiful hotel in a great location for food and for touring the sites. Service in the hotel was amazing. The hot tub wasn't working during our stay, and given the weather the pool was too cold to go in. The pool area closes kind of early and it would be nice to be able to enjoy the view from their later at night, but otherwise, very well kept establishment. Our family were able to have dinner together...
The hotel is comfortable and well located, and the surroundings may be a bit rough because of graffiti, but we didn't feel unsafe. We had a suite and was quite spacious. The water pressure in the shower is perhaps the only negative. We didn't include the breakfast as we wanted to try local eateries instead.
Nice hotel, great staff - would visit again.
We stayed recently and took a room on the 8th floor. It's a busy street below, so being so high it helps keep noise in the room to a minimum. Some aspects of the room are a little dated by modern standards, but everything is clean and tidy.
The staff are the stars in this hotel, both at reception, in the breakfast room, and the cleaning team. A couple...
The location is very good, with the subway station and the port just outside, the breakfast is great, and the facilities are complete

Disappointing Stay – Not Worth the 4-Star Claim
I stayed at Xenophon Hotel in Athens and was quite disappointed. Although the hotel claims to be 4-star, that rating likely dates back to when the building was renovated for the Olympics.

A big hotel close from the metro station Kato Patisia (10-minute ride to the center). The room was spacious and very clean. The breakfast could be improved. Overall, it could be a good alternative to city center hotels if you can manage the transportation.
Clean tidy and quiet. Very helpful staff.
Hotel is near to bus stop, Metro station. B. Fast is OK . Cleanliness is OK. Rooms are not so much isolated as you can hear many sounds fun other rooms. Good value for the price.

Spent two nights here and enjoyed our stay. Rooftop service and food was very good. The buffet breakfast on departure day was excellent. This was a short stay so we remained close to the hotel. For one night stop over maybe two nights it is an ideal spot. They don’t serve lunch or dinner and one has to go to the restaurants outside or to the hotel next-door to get food.
However, their breakfast is well above average.
I would definitely stay there again and I will
Exceeded our expectations! A much better and more affordable option than the Sofitel. While it’s not within walking distance from the terminal, the hourly shuttle bus makes up for it. Very nice hotel if you want something close and calm near the airport go here. Only downside is that it is kind of in the middle of nowhere so if you want to get food only thing to get is at the gas station. If you like quiet go here.

Pool was very cold
This is a great value conveniently located hotel in Athens beside the Omonia metro station. A smart rooftop pool and bar area, good breakfast and above all friendly staff. I must commend one of the reception staff who went above and beyond in his interactions with us.
A great location in middle of Athens near the Omonoia square.
Room service was always good, hotel service “reception” was great too except the time when we arrived they were ok making a silly assumption.
There is a pool “not a swimming one” and a bar with a great view. You can have a cocktail while sun bathing.
Will stay there again when I come back
A little overpriced for what it offers.

+ the location is super convenient
- the pool, if you search for a good option with a pool, it’s not one of them, the pool itself and the area are way too small for the amount of people staying here, so it makes no sense to go to the pool even, it’s too...
The hotel is just across the street from the subway red line , three stops from the acropolis and at 1.20euro one way per person. The hop on and off bus was there as well . Very close to the stop for the red go on go off bus. Everywhere we needed to go was within walking distance. We only ate breakfast in the hotel. The standard was very high. Such an array of choices, definitely recommend it.

The location of the hotel is excellent, we were afraid of all the warnings about homeless people and the danger of walking around the square, there is no problem, even late at night the square is crowded with tourists and there is no danger, regarding homeless people, we saw them everywhere. *This review is only for the restaurant*
We dinned there after a wedding ceremony. The prepared menu was neatly cooked and all the varieties of meat tasted great. For a restaurant of a 4-star hotel though, it wasn't something spectacular. The waiting staff were fast and polite, despite the 70 people that they had to serve. If you want to stay here, you will possibly enjoy the restaurant too.
To close to main highway. Lot's of sound from it. Breakfest meniu is poor.
Nice rooms, fluffy pillows. Breakfast is good, served 7-10am and until 11am on sunday. Good varuety of fruits, eggs, breads and yogurt. The juice is very sweet.
The restaurant seems to never be open, so we havent been. The pool is nice, but not very clean. Its windy here so i imagine its difficult to keep clean with all the surrounding trees. We are in a view of the pool, and what looks like a junk...
Value for money... it could be better
The hotel was amazing with very friendly staff and the breakfast was fantastic. The room was great and clean. The host in the restaurant, George was really cute and nice. I would definitely stay there again, wish I could stay longer.

The sanitation is acceptable.
The service attitude is also very good.
The only thing I want to complain about is their parking lot. The entrance is very narrow and you need to be very careful to enter. It is also on the second floor underground, which is a test of driver skills. Fortunately, we drove a small golf car, otherwise it would be very troublesome to get out. I had a very positive experience after booking 10+ rooms for my wedding guests in Palmyra hotel. Their reservations department communicated effectively with me and on time about organisation and payments. My guests were all delighted with their stay and the room.

Very cozy and clean hotel in a quite location, very kind staff

I was on a business trip and was really surprised with this hotel!
Good location, clean, honest price and very friendly staff.
The restaurant was also excellent and I believe it was the best Greek Salad in my (long) life.
You need to plan to spend some time to really enjoy the breakfast.
What else do you need?
I will be back soon with my family!
