Troulis Apart-Hotel

I give one star due to my negative experience with the hotel. Although the hotel is relatively well maintained, has pools, and the breakfast was decent (my room was too small though and the shower @toilet area TOO tiny), the hotel's managers did not inform me of extra 1,5 eur fee they charge, as they told, as a "tourist tax" upon my check-in. I didn't book the room via booking.com, instead of it I paid in cash upon my arrival to the hotel. I faced with the requirement to pay extra money only upon my check-out. 1,5 eur is not a big sum, yet it's a matter of principle for me as I see it a sort of cheating, especially given the fact that as the town of Bali is so poorly cleaned by the local authorities and there're piles of trash even in public places in the centet, the so called "tourist tax" is a nonsence! On 24th Sept 2024, while being on holidays here, I was told that Bali has 10 000 tourists. Imagine if every tourist spend at a minimum 50 eur daily here, the gross / brutto daily income of Bali from tourists alone 'd be 500 000 eur daily! And they simply don't clean it here, nonsense! I don't recommend the hotel due to its dishonest policy and I don't recommend Bali unless the government tackles the problem with trash utilization.
