Reviews
On Sundays, there was an entertainment night, which we really enjoyed, but we wish there had been more since there aren’t many party options in Agia Pelagia, and at night, there's not much to do beyond visiting restaurants.
The food was delicious, though we think it could use a bit more Greek soul. We wished for more than one or two vegetarian options, but we always found something to enjoy. Everything we needed was there, except for Greek coffee. The only downside was the WiFi, which was really slow and almost unusable, but other than that, we were so happy to be there.
We’ll miss everyone there!

* Price - i am sure most of the people looking for reviews for this place, it's because of its tempting all inclusive price. Indeed you will not find a cheaper all inclusive hotel in Crete !
* Staff - the staff were all very helpful and kind. The reception ladies, the kitchen and restaurant staff and the guys at the pool bar, always keen to assist
* Pool - 1 main pool plus a small kids pool. Never crowded and always can find sunbeds. It's a small hotel anyway
Neutral:
* Location - Agia Pelagia is around 25 minutes from Heraklion and it's really beautiful. If you have a car you will certainly explore some nice views, like a mini riviera !
The case is that Chrissys Paradise is little up the hill and you need a long walk to go down the shops and beach. However they do offer a small shuttle, but dont know many details how it works. I am sure you will see it at other comments
Rooms - Nothing special. Little dated. It would be good to have a renovation for sure
Entertainment - There is night entertainment (DJs) every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday, but even the other nights they have some music at the bar
Negative:
* Food - All inclusive for a cheap rate, must be a catch.
Well the catch is that the food is below average at best. You will probably find something to eat, even just a salad, but it's because you have it as all inclusive.
If you had to pay, the moment you see the small buffet, you will turn and leave. I understand that the price is low, but since they are cooking all that food, at least make it good. No need for gurmet buffet, but they can make the same ingredients much better
Also during morning and afternoon times, they
get some of the food which i assume not cooked/served at breakfast or lunch at the pool like a snack time
Drinks - Terrible unfortunately. If you are very easy with drinks then you will be ok, but in general all the drinks are way below average, including soft drinks and juices.
Again I understand it's an all inclusive, but they were really bad. That local brand Fimi of soft drinks is sooo bad
And of course the alcoholic drinks including the beer. Very bad
Eventually we were buying Ouzo and beers from nearby shop and doing our own mimi bar !
At least they could offer some brand alcohol to buy. I would certainly buy instead of the all inclusive ones
Overview:
Average hotel facilities. Best part is the quiet pool
Value for money ? Well it depends from each person.
If you are just looking for a cheap place to relax and do nothing for a week, maybe this is the place for you.
But be ready for average food and bad drinks
Personally i doubt i will be back to this place
Suggestion:
Get a rental car. You can do a lot from there, visit Heraklion, Rethymnon and even Chania & Agios Nikolaos if you have time and appetite!
And of course many small nearby villages.
As the hotel is not really near the beach of Agia Pelagia, you will feel isolated if you dont have a car and will rely on the small shuttle car of the hotel
Also try some of the restaurants near Agia Pelagia beach. There are some really good options !
p.s. you can also buy excursions and rental car from hotel, but i haven't used so no comments on that
Everything was very clean, the staff was very kind, friendly, hospitable, professional and we felt like we were dear guests really wanted.
The food was always very fresh, delicious, the swimming pools (for adults and children) were perfect, the children's playground, the diversified entertainment program every wonderful evening, the transportation included daily to the beach, all of the above helped us to have a perfect holiday and without the slightest stress.
We are looking forward to visit you next summer and we hope to be able to stay as long as possible in your Cretan paradise.
All the best for everyone!
Dumitrache family
Location - pretty far from any beach if you are with kids. Walkable if you enjoy a half hour stroll. There are 3 beacheas nearby and yoy have your options.
Reccomend renting a car and driving to other parts of the island (unfortunetly, despite the size on a global map, it can take you up to a half day drive to reach the other part of the island).
a big plus:
-organized various attractions every evening, a year ago there was no such thing
- food even better, seafood, various types of snacks on the bar
- Ladies at the reception very nice and helpful
- very friendly and professional barmans
- hotel and swimming pool very well maintained
We also met many nice people in the hotel, which made our trip even more successful 🙂
I recommend everyone to spend their holidays here!🙂
The staff were all so lovely and welcoming. The food was amazing and the room was nice with a beautiful view! The staff went above and beyond to make my stay as comfortable as possible :)
Highly recommend!
