Sofia Hotel in Heraklio Town

Fantastic location for arriving on Crete. Superb service and rooms that are comfortable and excellently clean for the price that one pays.

In a time when aesthetics is fast becoming the main drive of hospitality, Hotel Sofia still knows what is really important and that's the guest service provided.

The reception with their capability, local knowledge and willingness to help out a guest family in a tight spot is the gold standard of good service. Some say hospitality is an art, if so, they are a staff of artists.

Close to the airport and as we arrived very late it was handy. 24hr concierge. Room clean and comfortable, nice buffet breakfast. Very handy for travelling on the next day

Exceptional service out of this world. We landed from the airport at 1 in the morning, they were so easy and wonderful to work with. In the morning, we were a couple minutes late for breakfast and they had already cleaned the kitchen. The staff and receptionist brought out everything for us to enjoy the breakfast. This was not only very kind and generous but service is too notch. To top it off, our luggage was lost and the receptionist called the airport for us and dealt with the delivery of our luggage, gave us all points of taxi services at affordable rates, called car rental companies and really helped us out a lot. The room itself had AC, very clean, and overall a wonderful place to stay and services.

Perfect for night next to the airport.

5 minute drive from Heraklion Aiport and super friendly staff with a 24hr desk.

Have stayed here a few times and each was great. The rooms are simply, but clean and tidy. The pool and breakfast are spot on.

The staff are happy to provide details for local restaurants that can deliver food if you want something not on the hotel menu.

Since we flew to Frankfurt the next day, the location (close to the airport) was ok.

It was very close to the airport, which was what we we needed. It would be nice to have a little fridge in the room.

We used the hotel as a base for our night flight.
Nice place, friendly staff and we sat around the pool most of the afternoon.
The rooms were comfortable and clean.
Had a shower then walked into town for a meal before going back to the hotel to get our cases and make our way to the airport.
Location was good for access to local coffee shops and restaurants, was also good for transfer to airport which was €10.
Also good location for visiting Iraklion centre.
Was close to runway and you could hear aircraft land and take off but wasn't an issue for us.
Would recommend 👍
