This place is the cutest little hotel at the foot of the mountains.
Things started off really well when the receptionist welcomed us like we were old friends. She explained everything to us and even showed us our room and gave us options.
The room was comfortable and spacious and even tho it was a bit of a trip back in time everything was very clean and worked well. Somehow something about the hotel just put me at peace and made me feel comfortable. I’m not sure why but it did it for me.
Breakfast was good and so was the coffee that they provided. There’s extra espresso drinks that you can order but we didn’t feel the need. Checkout was also a breeze and again the staff there were brilliant.
I’d definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for somewhere to stay in Kastraki before doing the monasteries.

Check in was smooth. Receptionist was very friendly, gave us recommendations and highlighted to us the monasteries in the area. There were space for car parking. Room was clean and quiet. Breakfast was decent.

This hotel is nicely decorated - classy and very clean. The upstairs rooms have a wonderful view of Meteora and the monasteries. Unfortunately, though, the bed is not terribly comfortable, and the shower is designed poorly (water goes all over the place). Lastly, I give this place 3 stars to be kind. The common areas of the hotel are pretty and clean but you can not sit to enjoy them. It is so uncomfortably hot in the lobby, upstairs sitting area and halls. They do not utilize the air conditioning or open windows. During breakfast, it is like eating in a steam room. So uncomfortable, and the staff does not allow the windows or doors to be left open. It's such a pity because the outside air is magnificent. One last note, the help could smile once in a while, too, it would be nice to feel welcome. Not the warmest welcome 😔

Great location, 10 minutes walk from the first Meteora church Saint Nicholas. 30 minutes walk from closest big city Kalambaka. Super quite and calm area. Tasty family restaurant in 100 meters.

Old furnished rooms. Low standard bathroom. Small rooms. Breakfast not included (rare for 4stars hotel). At breakfast some tables were not available but not signaled appropriate and some tension with the customers emerged. Pricy for what it offers. Nice personnel at reception desk, great location. Ok overall

We came to the area to visit Meteora. The hotel was above my expectations: as soon as we came in, the front desk lady immediately sent us to watch the sunset (with the map) so we wouldn’t miss it. She recommended the place for dinner too. The hotel feels like a Bed and Breakfast in a more polished way. The room was also great, beds were comfortable. Breakfast the next morning was way better than I expected: tons of fruits, meats, yogurts, pastries, etc. along with the olives, roasted tomatoes, you name it.

Hotel Kastraki is in good location, close proximity to Meteora rock formations and monasteries. Those at the reception are so nice, friendly and helpful. They are well trained and customer service is good. I only have praises for them. The hotel has old charm which I like very much.

Great location, wonderful service, rooms are fully equipped and very clean. Parking is not very big, however we could easily find a place. Half of the rooms do not have a direct view to the Meteora, but it wasn't a problem for us. Breakfasts are simple and tasty. Would definitely recommend.
