Reviews
This hotel had gotten amazing reviews and that’s why we booked it, and I can’t understand how that is because we were very disappointed.
Firstly the staff was not as friendly as everyone else seems to think. The exception is breakfast staff and cleaning lady. We absolutely loved the receptionist who worked the evenings, she was amazing! But the receptionist at the day shift was not friendly and you always felt like she had something against us and didn’t even look us in the eye when speaking. We literally said good morning everyday and always got a half-snarky one back.
The bed cover had stains on it which seems to be left from the former guests. The furniture and shower and walls also had stains from former guest. The pillows were like cement and my neck was hurting bad from that first night, rest of the week I had to sleep on my neck pillow.
The breakfast was ok at best. The Greek yogurt felt like it had been whipped with water or something. The vegetables looked like it had been laying there several days and they were pretty wet and mushy. There weren’t any labels on what the food was so as a vegetarian I couldn’t taste half of the breakfast since I couldn’t tell if it was meat or not.
And speaking of food, I had a Greek salad (my favourite) and they had used sunflower or rapeseed oil on it…. That’s a crime when making a Greek salad, you should use olive oil which the menu said they did… It was not good and expensive also.
What was nice was that you could get a free towel for the sun bed everyday, after 4 days you suddenly had to pay a deposition of 10 euro to even get a towel, very weird and disappointing.
What made us chose this hotel was that they had service by the sun bed… not true.
Of our 7 days at the hotel and every day at the beach we saw the waiter/server at the beach 3 times, and 2 of those was in the same day. We didn’t even know how to get service and we felt it kind of defeats the purpose if we were to go 50 m to the hotel and ask for service and then walk back when it said that you would have service AT THE BEACH. And the hotel had even put up a note on the sun beds that it was “illegal” to eat anything other than what you bought at the hotel, which is funny since we would happily buy from the hotel if someone was there to take our order.
In the hotel room there’s a little book about the hotel and what services they offer etc, it said they had room service but when we called they didn’t know what we talked about.
Over all we weren’t happy with our stay. It may seem like I’m very picky, but that’s really not the case. The hotel was not good and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
