Alkyon Hotel

A great value for money hotel run by a lovely family - the rooms are spacious, air conditioned and super clean. Breakfast is generous with lots of local produce and the staff are really friendly. Kamari town is a short walk away and 5 mins from the airport. We love it and go back every year!

Amazing staff, nice little pool area, liked it more than most 4-5 star hotels I've been at in other countries.

Not far from the airport, family-run hotel, very clean, excellent breakfast, swimming pool and friendly and helpful staff. Quiet area a stone's throw from the sea.

for those who don't want to spend too much money and are without great pretensions. it is an ideal place. also equipped with a beautiful swimming pool. the breakfast is fantastic.

The cleanest Hotel I have ever stayed in. Although 2 stars, it should have at least 3 or 4 as the rooms are very clean and new bedding and towels every day. The bathroom is a little small, but modernised. The owners are amazing, very friendly and can advise on places to go, buses, taxi etc.
Nothing too much trouble for them. We have recommended to friends.
10 min walk to the beach
and bars, restaurants etc. 20 mins bus to Fira and another 30 mins to Oia only 1.6 euros each trip.

This hotel should be a 3 star , it is immaculate everywhere , family are fantastic and the breakfast lovely altho the hubby said a bit of bacon would have been nice 😀 this is the 3rd time staying there and I am ready to book for next year !

It's close to the airport, so it's a bit noisy when a plane lands or takes off.

This hotel is very reasonably priced in a generally speaking expensive island. The breakfast is very good (normally it's buffet, but due to COVID-19 it was served to the tables with as many refills as you'd like). The pool is very nice and there's a parking for your car there.

The real value of this hotel though is its owners and staff. They're really kind and hospitable. They provided tips and answers to all our questions, they were always with a smile and in the last day they suggested we stay past our checkout time until we depart. Totally recommended for your stay here.

I wish I had left this review sooner, so that the memories would still be fresh. I normally don't leave reviews but feel I have to for this place.
We went to Santorini for our honeymoon and stayed in the hotel between 17th-24th of May. Upon arrival we found a personal note from the Alkyon family wising us a pleasant stay and a good honeymoon along with a curiosity bottle of wine from a local vineyard.
The hotel is extremely clean and well built, rooms are cleaned every day in great detail, you won't find a spot of dirt/dust after the cleaners have been. The breakfast contains a decent variety and just the right sort of food to keep you full for the morning but still active.
The hotel staff are extremely friendly and can't do enough for you.
The hotel is also in great location and 5mins walk from Kamari Beech, were you can go out to eat, we only spent one night eating in Kamari Beech, the other nights we ate in Fira and Oia, which you can get to on a quad or by car, both of which you can hire from Kamari Beech.
Please do not be put off by the 2 star rating for this hotel, as you actually receive 5 star cleanness and service. I think the only reason the hotel is a 2 star is due to its size, because it is a small hotel, with a single pool, if it had more facilities and was a bigger hotel I am sure it would have more stars, but I hope the hotel stays just way it is, because if it was any bigger it wouldn't be a nice intimate place, as you don't go to Santorini to stay in your hotel/resort, you go to Santorini to go explore the breath taking views and taste the amazing food.
The only thing that lets the hotel down is the bathroom is quite dated, but everything works as it should and is really clean.

Ps…. I hope it remains a family run business, because that’s what makes it special!
