Reviews
During my stay, €420 was stolen from my room, and the management showed absolutely no concern. The maids were suspected, yet the staff did not care or take any responsibility, which was both shocking and upsetting.
The staff in general were rude and unhelpful, with no sense of customer care. Instead of supporting guests, they dismissed problems and treated us poorly.
The food was extremely disappointing – poor quality, repetitive, and in some cases barely edible. Combined with the lack of hospitality, it made for a very unpleasant experience.
Overall, this was by far the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. Between the theft, the appalling service, and the low quality of food, I would not recommend Niriides Hotel to anyone. Save your money and choose another hotel in Rhodes where you’ll actually be treated with respect and feel secure.
If you like awful customer service, being robbed and not being allowed to drink happily during bar opening hours then this hotels for you!!
We booked a family of 8 (6 adults 2 kids) for this “beautiful” hotel for 10 nights. Sure it looks nice but after night one the house keeping came in the morning to clean as they do and robbed €400 from our room! Bearing in mind we are the ones with the 2 kids. We complained to reception to be told “not our problem.” So we are still in this horrific hotel where we are being treat like dirt.
Food is mediocre at best and makes us very ill so we now have to spend more money which we hardly have after being robbed to eat out.
Of a night time, all inclusive ends at 11pm but the bar is open until 12. Yet you can’t drink till then as you have mr bar manager coming and telling you off for complaints about XYZ aka they just want you out.
The staff are awful (bar from the restaurant staff) horrible manners, awful attitude and lack of care.
Rooms look fine but are horribly done as we had a leak in the bathroom (where maintenance left a horrific mess and we couldn’t trust housekeeping of course) and the aircon does absolutely nothing. Also reported to reception who again, couldn’t care less.
So. Long story short. Save your money and don’t bother coming to this hotel from hell.
The rooms were decent, nothing special, but clean enough. The bathroom was clearly newly renovated – so new, in fact, that the cutting measurements were still marked on some of the tiles, which looked quite unprofessional.
The biggest letdown was definitely the food. Sometimes it was barely okay, but more often I left the dining area still hungry. There were days when I couldn’t find anything appetizing to eat at all. The only saving grace were the fresh fruits and vegetables, which were surprisingly good – but you can’t live on tomatoes and watermelon alone.
I wouldn’t recommend this hotel if good food is an important part of your vacation experience.
Not expensive and with a great location near the beach and quiet kolymbia for restful nights (there are still plenty of bars and shops open late) but also equal travel by bus to Rhodes town or Lindos so easy to get around.
The rooms are basic but modern and for a weeks stay you don’t need anything else as you just use it to sleep and shower.
Food was very good, I am vegan and found lovely different options every day so if you’re not then there is definitely plenty for you.
I’m not sure why people are saying the drinks are watered down as every drink I had was very very strong compared to what I’m used to as a British guy in his 20s. Pouring half the glass with the spirits!
The staff are all so friendly and nice, on our last day we checked out at 11 but our flight wasn’t until midnight so they let us still use all the hotel facilities including drinks and food. They didn’t treat you like someone they had to impress though, it was very down to earth and friendly
There are lockers to store your belongings on your last day as well but also storage space that’s free so lots of options.
I’d definitely stay here again and it’s easily the best place I have stayed.
Overview
We stayed at the hotel for 7 nights and the whole experience has been great! From the food to the views and even the pools it’s been such a nice relaxing stay. However there are a couple of things that didn’t quite bring me to give 5 stars which I’ll explain below.
Pools
So starting with the pools as you’ll see from all of the photos that they advertise, the pools look stunning almost like infinity pools! When we stayed which was October, the pool temperature was ambient so mighty chilly with my watch indicating water temp as low as 19°C but as I mentioned we were also in October so this is to be expected. And to add, I believe this is a summer only hotel that closes for the winter so I’m sure it’s normally warmer in Greece’s summer! Lovely way to cool off in a cold water plunge though!
Although the pools look amazing you can clearly see the hotel has had an expansion and the expansion bit (where the infinity type pools are) is where the money has been spent. The older pool is looking a little tired and in need of an upgrade. Luckily they have 4 to choose from!
Rooms
We stayed in the actual hotel building itself, sadly not the fancy pool rooms which look like they have upgraded rooms. Our room was in the main building which was clearly two separate accommodation rooms before and has been adapted to now be one. You can see this from the two bathrooms (either end) and the duplicated sockets along with the duplicated balconies and duplicated lights on one of the joining walls.
The overall room size was great but the downsides were poor drainage in the bathroom, meaning it floods every time you shower & the bed’s were rock hard annoyingly giving me a back ache most mornings.
But apart from that, very nice size, just a shame it’s not the same experience as you’d get over on the nicer side where you can clearly see a lot of the money has been spent.
I should also add this could have been on TUI’s side where we booked, it didn’t show us different levels of rooms or ones with pool views etc so could be the 3rd party booking experience. Luckily we spent most of the time at the pool so not the end of the world.
Food
As an All-Inclusive resort, food was lovely! My partner wishes there was more of a selection but I found the selection was very good. The actual food hall is fairly small, no problem for an October holiday. I do question though how busy this might be in the summer months and how hectic it is then but during our stay it was great with no wait times.
We also got the opportunity to experience Halloween here where the hotel went “all out” on everything Halloween. Honestly I’ve never seen a hotel go that far with their Halloween decorations just for one night. From food to converting the entire food area, staff costumes and more into a spooky experience for just one night.
Price / Location
We booked through TUI at what I thought was fairly reasonable with an All-Inclusive Package. We went on several walks around the area and into Kos (40 min walk from the hotel) to explore and saw alternative hotels but they were more of a city hotel so didn’t have the multiple pools that Niriides Hotel has.
So for the money I think it’s pretty good! They also do have evening entertainment, apparently won loads of awards but it just isn’t our thing so didn’t attend any of them.
Summary
So in short, lovely hotel probably one of the nicest in the area. Staff were all very friendly and always going above and beyond to help. I would probably advise to check how busy it might be during the summer but for us it was very relaxing and peaceful and if you’re visiting when the temperature is around 23° be mindful the pool is shall we say refreshing!
