Byzantinon Hotel in Leonidion

Christos and his family are welcoming and kind, making you feel right at home. The rooms are spotless, comfortable, and well-kept, and the villa itself is truly beautiful! The surrounding area has a peaceful charm with a great atmosphere. Plus, with excellent restaurants and cocktails nearby, everything you could wish for is within easy reach.

Hands down thee best hotel we have ever been to! The owner, George, is such a sweet man. He and the rest of the staff make the place feel like home. We were out climbing one morning and we returned to breakfast left in our room. He said "we weren't sure when you'd be back and we thought you'd be hungry" George said.

Beautiful hotel and surrounding area. Incredible breakfast!! And people that make the place so good it feels like you're leaving home.

Our stay at the Byzantinon will remain one of our best stays anywhere ever! The landlords are most welcoming and helpful people, always there to tell us where to go and what to visit or to go out of their way to make us comfortable. The hotel rooms were also perfect for our little family.

5-star treatment from a 3-star hotel!

A wonderful hotel, picturesque and very clean, ideal for a quiet vacation and only a stone's throw from the beach. But where this beautifully built hotel really shines is the politeness and hospitality of the family that runs it. Great people, genuinely kind and always there to help even if they go out of their way to do so, while always maintaining their professionalism. The hotel in itself is great, always tidy and clean, with lovely rooms and a hearty, homemade breakfast each morning, plus it's only a mere 3-mins walk from the beach. Can't recommend it highly enough!

We stayed at this lovely, old feeling hotel at a last minute notice. Luckily, there was one room available. It was in the sub-street level and was great apart from a funky smell in the bathroom, which is typical of such older establishments. The sheets and towels were clean and the room was spacious enough for two people. The service from the receptionist to the waiters was exceptional. The view from the cafe on the rooftop also magical overseeing the mountain and street of the town center.

Absolutely incredible experience staying at Hotel Byzantinion. Christos and his family went above and beyond to take personal care of us and the other guests to make sure we had the best stay possible not just in the hotel but in the region. Christos pointed us to the top spots for the best local meat, seafood, and sightseeing. Poulithra is also the perfect area to stay in, it is a beautiful beach town with incredible hospitality and delicious seafood, just 10 minutes by car from Leonidio center and to the mountain villages. We visited in the summer and will return soon, the other seasons sound just as magical. The rooms are beautiful, clean, quiet, and very comfortable. We would give Hotel Byzantium 6 stars if we could, can’t wait to stay there when we return!

The Byzantinon is a hidden gem on the Peleponese. Christos and the staff made use feel very welcome and their hospitality was fantastic. Location was excellent 10 min to Leonidio. Local restaurant is excellent selling local food. A short walk to the beach. We highly recommend staying at the Byzantinon.

Lovely hotel in the middle of the small town. The family that owns the place is extremely friendly - will meet you with warm welcome, help with understanding how it all works there, serve some good breakfast in the morning. Highly recommended for families with children!
