Hector Cave House in Oia

The view is unbeatable.

It's definitely worth staying for couple of nights there. Anathesia and Dimitri were great host and very helpful with the bags to reach all the way to the cave from the post office. It's almost 10 mins walk which is very difficult with kids and luggage.

The wind is crazy due to which our 1 day was wasted as we were unable to do anything. It becomes really windy and cold outside at evening, so with kids very hard to enjoy dinner and pool outside.

The host and stay was great. Wish they had at least a microwave that would ease up heating food , water and milk for kids in middle of night.

Ola is little difficult location for families and not so family friendly however better choice would have been thira.

Next time, that would be our choice of stay.

Hector Cave House was the perfect peaceful haven, amongst the crazy busy streets of Santorini. The house had everything we needed, the plunge pool was perfect and the whole outdoor area really made the stay! Great location in Oia, every direction you look the view is stunning. Faye was so helpful with recommendations and helping us arrange transfers etc, and thank you also to Dimitris for helping us with our luggage. This place is a special gem, 100% would recommend!

We were a family of 5 (parents and 3 kids 18, 21, 23). The house is long and narrow, but fit us all comfortably. This house is on the pedestrian only path of Santorini so pack light as you need to walk the crowded path to reach your accommodations. It is far enough down the path that it is quieter at the house. It is a magnificent location. The dipping pool is cool, but feels wonderful after walking around all day. And thankfully Faye (our host) helped us arrange transfers to and from the ferry. She was very attentive and helpful, and super nice! The transfers she arranged made life so much easier! And then she had a man meet us at our transfer to walk us to the Cave House. He even helped us with our bags. Much appreciated! We stayed 2 nights which in my opinion is enough time in Santorini.

Great property in amazing location in the heart of Oia. Faye was fantastic in her recommendations and helping to get around the island and very understanding of travelers needs. Dimitri took care of the cave and was great as well. Amazing sites and photo ops right outside your door. People were looking at our cute staircase every morning when we came out. Memorable experience worth the splurge.

We had a fantastic stay in September for a couple of nights to end our holiday on a high! The room we has was insane! It had such a wonderful energy and was well decorated felt very homely too. Everyone was so friendly and the rooms are cleaned everyday. Fantastic location and brilliant communication too with all the staff.

Stayed in the Nest. This is a prime spot to stay. You are right at the start of the stairs and the old castle, and shopping and food.
The bed was comfortable, the hosts took care of every need, and the entire area was clean and perfect for our stay.
The host met us where the car dropped us off, and he helped take our bags and show us the way.
If I come back to Santorini in the future, there isn’t another place I would stay!

We recently spent 10 spectacular days at the Hector Cave House on our 6th trip to Santorini over the past 20 years and it truly exceeded our expectations. The apartment was very spacious, extremely clean and well maintained, ideally situated and had an incredible view as well as great seating outdoors and plunge pool to enjoy it. The apartment was expertly serviced by Donna and Demetri who not only did a spectacular job each day but were delightful to talk with. Donna’s recommendations and information in general were so helpful. We also had the opportunity to meet the owner Giannis. We had originally selected this apartment due to the incredible (and accurate) photographs as well as Giannis’ responsiveness to various questions during our booking process. We were delighted to meet him when he visited Santorini from his home in Athens and made the effort to meet us in person. There was literally nothing Giannis and his staff did not anticipate a guest would need. Having stayed in scores of VRBO’s across the US; this was our first experience in one internationally. We were totally impressed with every aspect of our experience; so glad we chose this route versus a hotel and were so thankful we chose Hector Cave House. We cannot recommend it more highly.

5 star stay . Dana, Dimitris and Anastasia were very very superb in their helpful nature and service , couldn't have asked for more, i mean they were one of the best guest handlers i've ever seen . They helped us with all detail we could need . Hector cave house is a must stay and value for money .
The full house was absolutely more than fantastic, like it has a beautiful vibe you dont wanna leave ever , good spaces used and big and spacious house , warm jacuzzi , superb .
