Istoria, a Member of Design Hotels

This was our first visit to a Greek island and our seven night stay at Istoria was truly unforgettable. Istoria is a boutique and very personable hotel with only 12 suites, giving it a peaceful and exclusive feel. The pool area was beautifully designed and incredibly relaxing - perfect for chilled out days. The staff were great - always helpful and full of excellent recommendations for dining out, ranging from high end restaurants to charming local tavernas. They also gave us great tips for excursions and must-see spots around the island. A special shoutout to Stellios at the bar - he created a fantastic atmosphere and genuinely went out of his way to make sure every guest felt welcome and well taken care of. Overall, an exceptional stay. We wouldn’t hesitate to go back!

Istoria hotel is a very stylish yet relaxed, it has a peaceful chill vibe from the moment you walk in. The suites are gorgeous, the pool is so serene and the black beach is breathtaking. The food was also great, especially the breakfast. However, the best part of the hotel is the warm and friendly staff! They went out of their way to make sure that our stay was perfect. I have never felt more at home at a resort than I have at Istoria. A special shout out to Stelios. He is an amazing bartender whose cocktails were great and his company even better. We left feeling like we had made real connections and memories to last a lifetime. Can’t wait to return!

Our stay at Istoria has been absolutely amazing for our honeymoon. The staff are so attentive, personable, and friendly. Their service goes above and beyond! They only have 12 rooms so you definitely feel taken care of while you are here. On the first day that we arrived, we went to the Black Beach directly in front of the hotel. Our server, Bismark, was very kind and attentive! It was a great welcome to the hotel experience to start! The rooms are very clean and tended to in the morning and middle of the day. They replenish everything and clean your room so quickly while you are away (2x a day!). The massage at the spa was an incredible experience - the best massage I have gotten! The staff are just incredible and would recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone. It truly is and feels like a 5 star hotel.

Our second visit and still a winner. Lovely setting, with stunning views of the mountain and only few steps from the beach. Immaculate and spacious rooms with top quality linen. Beautiful dining room with one of the best and varied breakfast menus I have experienced. The service is undoubtedly the winning feature, charming, warm, thoughtful and utterly professional. Great atmosphere. Nice ambiance. Nice interior. Great staff and wonderful food. Close to a nice beach. Good beach club with really nice staff. The area around the hotel is not very interesting. So if you are staying many days you might need a car.

We had a lovely week at this hotel. All the staff were excellent and really looked after us. We particularly liked the additional touches such as the chocolates and drinks. The location was great and along with the very helpful and attentive staff, a perfect and relaxing holiday.

We had an incredible stay at Istoria. We stayed in the Conte Suite, which was spacious and had a nice balcony with a jacuzzi overlooking the sea. The hotel has comfortable beds, delicious breakfast, gorgeous pool, wonderful beach area, and even a cute spa. As beautiful as this hotel is, what really sets it apart is the service. Everyone was very helpful and kind. Special shout out to Stelios and Bismarck for being super fun and making sure we were always having a good time. Rebeca was a delight to see each morning serving breakfast. Also, I didn’t catch his name, but the man who brought our luggage to and from the room and who seemed to always be available if you need anything, was awesome. Really good vibes all around at this hotel. I cannot recommend Istoria enough!

The perfect stay. Istoria hotel is a beautiful stylish hotel. The rooms are elegant and well furnished, full of beautiful design. The staff is amazing. Everyone is more than helpful and full of good energy. Special thanks to Bismarck who was amazing assisting us at the beach ! The little spa is gorgeous! Same like the swimming pool and a stylish bar with fantastic Stellios serving perfect cocktails !

it is a lovely hotel with a fantastic swimming pool and nice restaurant - quite expensive. it is a pity that no sparkling wine was available by glass and no lounge was arranged to change our clothes before departure to the airport especially for a 5 stars hotel.
