Good location but it a bit old. But reasonable price, and dinner is good though.

We thought staff was very pleasant and rooms were nice, but variable. We stayed at the beginning and end of our trip. The first time there were two chairs so we could sit out on the balcony. The second time, there were no chairs. They could improve with at least two glasses in the room too, since there are two of us. The facilities are average, relatively clean, the bedding is average, and there are not many breakfast varieties. However, the very good thing is that there is a freshly squeezed orange juice machine and the service is relatively good.

We booked this hotel because we had a boat to Santorini the next morning. The hotel looks nice from the outside, but the furnishings are average. Is it a traditional five-star hotel? It's about a ten-minute drive from E7.

Of course, this is not a 5* hotel. But it is a good deal, especially if you are traveling as a couple. A full breakfast is included and a fairly spacious room with a bathroom. Great rooms location and building. Very clean. It’s such a pity they don’t change some things like the chairs and care to vamp it up a bit. The gym is sad, although has all equipment and space needed it’s  dark and gloomy. The hotel could really use some updating. WiFi was poor, doors didn't work everything is geared perhaps towards an older generation. The room was really dark and a bit bare bones but it was clean and warm. Breakfast was terrible.

This gem of a hotel in the port is fantastic. Tasteful furnished, roomy and very clean it has everything you need to a stay before boarding a cruise. We arrived very late at night and were greeted warmly and were checked in in no time. The WiFi is free and fast and the included buffet breakfast was very welcome. I would certainly stay again if I was boarding a cruise which is just a short walk away

The beat place we’ve stayed in the area. The service is amazing - very welcoming staff accept you when you arrived, offering a welcoming drink on the rooftop. The room is well arranged and attendant every day, well maintained. The view is great. Especially when you wake up early for a breakfast on the roof when the sunshines.

We received The most wonderful welcome, friendly attentive staff, delicious reasonable priced food and the roof top bar had incredible 360 degree views. Great choice of bars and restaurants close by with a lovely vibe. Definitely would return, highly recommend.

Been coming to Greece for over 30 years, The Alex is the best hotel I've been to here. Check in for the hotel was very quick and easy and they had my room available at 11am which was very convenient since I was traveling that morning. Not a super nice place not an awful place,rooms were pretty nice, bathrooms are quite nice, good place to stay for a night as a jumping off point for the island ferries,not a place to stay if you're visiting to be sight seeing Athens. Don't expect everywhere you go to be a nice clean area around there,like any big city its old tight,urban,diverse,congested & busy so yes it will not be super clean sometimes...

A really nice hotel close to the cruise ports with everything you need. Nice rooms that I have been recently refurbished and a lovely breakfast every morning. Great staff and service.

Stayed here during spring break and overall had a pleasant experience. The rooms are small but nicely maintained, clean, and comfortable for a short stay. One drawback is the elevator - it’s very narrow and can barely fit four people, which can be inconvenient during busy times. The location is excellent - just a 5-6 minute walk to the harbor and ferry terminal, making it a great option for travelers...

We have stayed here several times over the years. A nice clean hotel with nice rooms with above average facilities. The staff are lovely and the location is excellent for the port and for some if yhd main areas of Piraeus.

The hotel is old, I changed several rooms, all except the rooms with a sea view have a stale smell of old age, breakfasts are like Groundhog Day every day, the same thing, they don't even change the omelette to fried eggs. The address is very good. It's on the edge of the port and very close to the seaside. It's very comfortable to take a walk and drink coffee. You can see the life of the locals and stay away from the bustling urban area.

Close to the pier...the facilities are not very complete. It can barely stay for one night. It should be a relatively cost-effective hotel by the pier. The service attitude of the hotel staff is very good.

Arrived in the early hours by bus from the airport, stops like 5 min walk from hotel and the reception is amazing, the rooms are absolutely great for what they charge. Only little point, would be great to have a shower cabin or at least a curtain.

We stayed here for one night as a couple after a flight from Asia. Wanted to charge extra 25 euros for early check in so we gave that a miss. The hotel entrance is obscured with frosted glass. The location is very convenient and overall the room was clean however there was an overwhelming and unpleasant smell of cigarettes in the room which made the stay unbearable. We checked out earlier due to this and had a very poor night sleep.

We arrived on June 12, 2023. The hotel staff were welcoming and suited our needs as we were hopping on a ferry at 730am. As described it’s close to the port, restaurants, bakeries, shops. Very convenient hotel in a great location right next to the piraeus port. Great for an overnight stay to take the ferry in the morning. The front desk is open at all hours which is very helpful for late flights or early ferries.

Perfect pet friendly hotel for a one night stay before grabbing a ferry (very close to port gates E7-E9). Make sure you tell them in advance if you are bringing a pet. The room was small (especially the bathroom/shower) but very clean. The bed was comfortable as well and the AC unit worked great. The gentlemen working the front desk was very friendly and helpful.

I came by bus from Athens, and it was close to the bus stop. It's also close to the port of Piraeus, so it's a very convenient location. The building was old, but the room was clean.

Very friendly staff. Room was suprisingly nice (excellent for 2-star hotel and this price). Towels and shampoo included. Small disadvantage is that second floor is under reconstruction but nothing that worsened our stay. I recommend this hotel (price/what you get), especially for college students.

For a 3 star hotel, it was what mattered the most clean and safe, the set up for the beds was 2 single beads side by side to make a queen bed, but it's workable and for us was all good, as it had a friendly staff, it was clean and safe, we received a 1 lt bottle of water upon arrival, and the room was ready early, good people at the hotel.

Friendly and nice hotel in the heart of Pireaus. Perfect in case you need to stay 1 night if you travel to the island with a car. An underground guarded parking is available 24/7. Also excellent if you want to visit the city for a few days. Underground station is only 10 min walk away. Super reccomended!

Very quaint, neat and clean hotel. Located conveniently near shopping and transportation (bus, subway). It also has its own parking garage (and Athens-area rarity) with reasonable rates. There’s also lots of other convenient paid parking in the neighborhood. Street parking is also possible.

This was a really good stay. The staff is really helpful and the hotel itself is in walkable distance to the Piraeus where we had to take our ferry, as well as reasonable distance from the metro station to go explore the rest of the city and the Acropolis. This in not a fancy hotel by any means, but it is safe, clean and convenient to the port. There was a coffee shop across the street that we got coffee and pastries for breakfast. Small rooms- very basic but served our purpose.

Don't expect too much, basic hotel. Friendly staff. We were taking the 7:30am ferry so this is an excellent choice to spend the night before travelling to the islands.

First time a 3 star hotel has good quality reception and is clean! Although a bit simple, has a very good location and helpful people. Didn’t matter that it was a bit small as we only stayed for two nights as we missed a flight. Also, my whole mood changed, thanks to Coco the parrot!

Quite nice and basic hotel for the price. Right next to the Piraeus harbour and thus very convenient if you are leaving early or coming to town late. The AC in the room was not the most silent one but did its work. The street noise was not too loud on Monday/Tuesday night.

We booked a non-smoking room but got one that stank of cigarettes. Another lady complained of the same problem in her room and was told there was nothing to do. No apology or compensation.

One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at—impeccably clean with a breathtaking sea view. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. A truly luxurious and comfortable experience. It’s my go-to destination, and I’ll definitely be coming back soon.

Staff was great! We left early the first morning and they gave us some fruit to take away. You have good vegan options to eat on breakfast! The room was very nice and comfortable, but little details that could make it better. For example, you have to remember to turn on the bathroom’s light before opening the door.

The hotel location is great and very close to the bus stop. Loud bar downstairs but it stops at 2am so that’s not too bad. The bar is worth a visit for the decor. The beds were horribly hard in my opinion but my mom said it was fine, so that’s just personal preference. The shower was small, but overall, the hotel did the job and the breakfast was fine.
