As always with GRECOTEL, location is great, staff does its best to accommodate needs and even deal with issues asap, food is of good quality. With respect to this KOS GRECOTEL , the plus are : great green and well maintained landscape, multiple pools, a la carte restaurants with great views and nicely designed pool bar, new gym and multiple bar options and a lot of efforts done on the shows. To note is that the team did everything to help us deal with an issue as we did not like initially our room. We complained and staff acted very professionally and efficiently. May be some improvements could be (but only because we compare to other GRECOTELs we love): main restaurant despite very nice design can be a bit overcrowded sometimes and the food offering is not as diverse (themes) and exceptional as in some other GRECOTELs but do not get us wrong the food quality is definitely there relative to other hotel brands, some staff not as smiling like in other GRECOTELs (but the hotel is also huge and busy hence the staff has a lot to do), may try to rejuvenate some rooms (furniture) and the corridor with the boutique, Billard and hairdresser as the potential of this area may be better used and feels a bit cold. Overall very nice resort , usual strong Grecotel standards and strong price quality relationship .

We booked this hotel as we wanted to be near Kos town last year we stayed at the Mitsis Blue Domes (highly recommend). Myself, my husband and two children age 4 and 10 stayed for 7nts all Inclusive. Our room overlooked the pool. It was spacious and cleaned daily to a great standard. We have a double bed and 2 children’s beds. Our bed could have done with some TLC but nothing major. Mini bar was hit and miss we had to pretty much ask for it to be refilled every day aswell as milk to be left for making coffees. Pool situation was abit rubbish in the sense some guests were reserving multiple beds at 6:15am every morning but never using them all. I feel this is abit inconsiderate of other guests but that’s my opinion. The staff do try and stop this but I only ever saw them move 1 towel in the seven days we were there. The notices say when a bed is unoccupied for 30 minutes the staff will remove ( I don’t agree with the 30 minutes especially when food service at the pool area can take much longer) some of the beds reserved from 6:15 and not in use until after lunch. Food we booked the restaurants before we arrived after seeing some reviews saying they couldn’t get in. Italian was amazing and could not fault it all. Same with the Asian restaurant beautiful and beautiful setting. Loved the fact you can get the bottles of wine to share on the all inclusive at dinner. Now the Greek I would honestly give this a miss it was nothing special and to be honest we didn’t rate it all. First two courses came out really prompt but then after waiting over an hour and a half for dessert we gave up. Buffet breakfast was lovely and typical of all inclusive. The buffet at dinner was again ok nothing special but standard all inclusive. Drinks were so nice, cocktails and bottles of wine. We never had to wait long for drinks at all. The ice cream and crepe was beautiful and a real hit with my children. The ground are beautiful and well kept. Staff were always friendly and happy to help. Reception staff were also really helpful. Would we return maybe if the price was right but I feel that the other 5 star hotels were better and better value for money.

We booked Grecotel Kos earlier this year for our summer holiday having seen rave reviews on TripAdvisor and having heard great things about Grecotel Crete. We chose Kos because of the room layout with separate areas for parents and kids which isn’t the case in the Crete hotel. I’m here now with my wife and two kids (14 and 11). We made a mistake. A previous reviewer captured the sentiment perfectly: the website photographer needs a pay rise! The grounds and main buildings are lovely and well-kempt, although none of them are air conditioned which seems rather odd given the climate and means the only respite from the heat is in your room. Must be even more difficult for the staff. The restaurants are good and whilst the food is ok it doesn’t feel like the produce is of a particularly high quality. But here’s what you really need to know: 1. Bedrooms. I should’ve been suspicious when I saw the website photos which were clearly deliberately vague. The rooms are incredibly outdated. The beds are terribly uncomfortable; there are insufficient plug sockets (including none next to the mirror); the bathroom has poor ventilation so the floor gets very slippy; all interior doors creek loudly making it impossible to use the toilet at night without waking everyone up; the towels and bed linen are not regularly changed; the front door does not lock; the air conditioning only works with the doors closed which is fine but it doesn’t turn back on automatically and you have to faff around opening and slamming the patio door until it works; and the walls appear to be made of paper as you can hear every single word your neighbour is saying. 2. Pool. The rumours are true: if you’re not by the pool with your towels on the sunbeds by 8am, you’ve got no chance. Fortunately for me, despite usually enjoying a lie in, the beds were so uncomfortable I was up at 7.30am every morning to take part in the race for the sunbeds. It’s 11.30am as I write this and I’ve just seen a member of staff remove towels and belongings from an unattended bed, so they are clearly trying to do something to fix this, just not enough. There is a strict ‘one towel per person per day’ policy which led to my wife having to argue to get another few towels for the kids. We arrived on Saturday and the first time a waiter came to us to offer us a drink by the pool was on Tuesday and it hasn’t happened since. This truly is a ‘first world problem’, I appreciate that, I’m just trying to make the distinction between the expectation this hotel sets and the reality once you’re here. This is made worse by the fact that the pool bar is under staffed and constantly has a long queue. The toilets by the pools really are unpleasant, to the extent that my wife and daughter would return to the lobby or bedroom when they needed the loo. The pool restaurant is really crowded over lunchtime. The pool is salt water as per the many other reviews which is fine but odd and not particularly enjoyable. And, despite t

We had the best time, from start to finish! We was warmly welcomed, after a long day we was greeted with a meal and refreshments while the staff checked us in and our luggage taken care of. Every member of staff was very pleasant and couldn’t do enough for you which made our stay very enjoyable, nothing was any trouble. I celebrated my birthday and received a delicious birthday cake to our room! The grounds are so beautiful, we had a nice room over looking the pool which was nice. We are due to leave late and the hotel gave us complimentary late check out which was so kind , it’s possible they will do their best to accommodate. Thank you Grecotel lux me for our fantastic stay! We will be back in the future!! Greece is beautiful 🫶

For the price we paid we were disappointed with the room, very dated and a child’s bed for an adult as there were 3 of us as a family. The sunbeds were taken by 8am every morning by holiday makers leaving towels and going back to bed. The buffet had lots of choice but all tasted very bland. Rooms were air conditioned but restaurants and other indoor areas were not. The hotel itself was very nice and the staff were friendly but we felt British holiday makers weren’t catered for. The tv in the bedroom had 2 English channels and approximately 20 German channels. The linen on the beds weren’t changed regularly either, which in a warm climate isn’t great. I can’t say it was an unpleasant stay but I don’t think it’s value for money. We have stayed at much nicer hotels in Europe for a lot less in price.

We stayed for 8 nights , all inclusive in June 2025. The rooms were lovely and the whole hotel spotlessly clean. The staff were extremely friendly and nothing was a problem. The food was amazing and drinks branded . Will definately stay again
08.07.2025
Pros ✔️We had a relaxing stay, the hotel is clean and modern with a lovely atmosphere. Staff are friendly and helpful. Food and drinks are lovely especially the cocktails! The grounds are beautifully maintained. Cons ✖️Only slight criticism…there are only 2 chairs for the outside area of our room/ balcony but room was for 3 people (2 adults and a 16 year old). Obviously with the hot weather there are a lot flies- including on the food at the buffet which is quite off putting.

Back from a week with our grown up children and can highly recommend this hotel. Every member of staff was friendly and helpful, the reception staff gave us advice on getting into Kos which was straightforward using the bus We stayed in the large villa with private pool and it's stunning. Housekeeping do a great job, nothing was too much trouble The selection and quality of food was exceptionally high, we really enjoyed our stay One tip for something to do - if you go to the beach and walk past the watersports keep going for about 15 minutes you will find psaldi wetlands - we were lucky enough to see about 60 flamingos
05.06.2025
Everything was perfect
If i will go back to Kos Island again, i would choose this hotel agin for sure.
Strongly recommended

It's an unfair comparison but I had visited ikos only weeks earlier which is simply outstanding. This has a different price point and once you accept that you can accept its offering is not the same.
That said whilst the rooms are tired and in need of an upgrade this is a great reasonably priced hotel and excellent for families.
Biggest problem was cold sea water pools and for this reason alone I suspect we wouldn't return
