Kalimera Kriti Hotel & Village Resort

Lovely location great staff. Very clean and grounds beautiful and well maintained. Upgraded rooms very nice. Could have done with extra blankets as option in cooler months.
Better signage would be helpful on such a large complex to find way around easier. Some of the rooms need a bit of updating with decor plus e.g hair dryers, water pressure in showers is low in some rooms.
In cooler season patio heaters in restaurant would be good as sometimes indoor area full and can be chilly in the early morning or evening sittings.
Spa is lovely but rules need enforcing for all guests for the diginity of all.

Kalimera Kriti Hotel & Resort just outside the little town Sissi on the North East side of Crete is a paradise. With its unique architecture built like a small Greek village with lots of trees and flowers Kalimera Kriti is by far one of the most beautiful hotels in Crete. In addition a friendly staff always at your service make a stay at Kalimera Kriti to a perfect vacation for everyone even families with small children. Especially we would like to thank Athina, Despina and Aldrin, Nikki and Marwin for excellent service during breakfast and dinner. The food; vegetables, fish, meat, cheese, fruit and desserts are excellent with a selection that should make it possible for everyone, even the youngest, to be satisfied.
A lot of space for everyone in and around the pools for adults and children. This time we preferred to stay at one of the spacious beaches, also convenient for families, were we could enjoy the sun and bathing.

A little piece of paradise, with some downsides. The upsides: The site is gorgeous - around every corner there are new pretty views, plants, trees buildings, the beach, the sea. The pools are incredible - the largest is 50m long and there's plenty of space for people to relax, play and get their laps in. There always seems to be space - a sun lounger on the beach or by the pool, or a table on the terrace. Food is excellent. Plenty of exercise and animation options but it's not in your face if you want to avoid them. The ambiance is peaceful. Reception are helpful.

Ambivalent: restaurant staff are helpful once you realise that the cadence of service is relaxed, and you have to look like you want their attention. Package holiday transfers can be quite long.

The downsides: The "traditional bungalows" are charming but dated and with minor niggles: nowhere to charge a phone by the bed, the shower-over-bath is awkward to use. The public toilets don't smell good (I think this is just a thing in Greece as you have to bin not flush any used toilet paper). Drinking water isn't provided after the first bottle on arrival so you have to carry it back from the on-site shop.

The room definitely needs updating. There was ants, it smelt like sewage and a few things Broken, when the room was cleaned didn’t seem like anything was done, just the bed made. Also it was weird with being a 5* hotel but no drinks provided in the mini fridge, had to walk for ages down to the shop to get water:( 💧

Our stay at the hotel was truly exceptional! The staff were polite, welcoming, and always ready to assist with anything we needed. The spa was a wonderful relaxation experience. Our spa therapist Chrysa provided us a truly wonderful treatment . Her expertise and attention to detail were evident throughout, making the whole experience unique.

We had the best time here 😍 location is great, it is silent and very beautiful. Hotel is beautiful, room clean and the beach is huge, clean, there is not a lot of people and there is always free place. The stuff was sooo friendly that we became friends during our stay. They done everything what we asked for to make our stay memorable 😍 and the food was excellent. Thank you very much!

We had a pleasant stay in a generously designed resort right on the coast. We appreciated the beautiful beach, which was never crowded, plenty of sun loungers and parasols, and the beautiful large swimming pools.

Great Spa. Kalliopi‘s Massage was just Perfect, so relaxing and peaceful. Highly recommended! ASK for Kalliopi! The whole Team is very nice and welcoming! Thank you for the lovely experience!
