Kalimera Kriti Hotel & Village Resort

This is a fabulous resort providing a true experience to remember. My husband and I have just completed a marvellously last minute holiday here at the Kalimera Kriti and we will be back.

The summer in the UK was basically non existent this year and we desperately needed some sunshine and warmth. Upon arrival at around midnight we were greeted with sandwiches and smiles by reception. We were then whisked to our room in a golf cart. And what a wonderful surprise.

We had a sea view upstairs bungalow which provided us with a sitting room and large bedroom, and a beautiful view of our small bay from the windows in the bedroom and sitting room. The room itself was comfortably furnished and has a home feel to it. The balcony is large with two lounge chairs and a table and chairs. There was air conditioning in the bedroom which we found was sufficient based on the wonderful seafront breezes and view.

All of the staff from our lovely maid to the waitpersons in the restaurant to the beach staff were wonderful. They always greeted us with a friendly kalimera or kalisphera. Good day or good evening.

Last year when we were in Crete at at 5 star hotel the beach was apauling and we had to rent a car and drive to a suitable beach. Here at kalimera Kriti the beach is perfect. As the resort sits on a natural bay that has had a small jetty put in to protect it, the water is calm. Admiditly you do have to walk out a ways to reach deeper water but it is very suitable to young children and older adults. There are loads of beach loungers. Yet even when busythe longest wait time was 5 minutes for a chairs. There is basic food and drinks available from a small beach cafe.

They do have 3 wonderful pools but we never used them as we preferred to swim in the warm sea.

We were half board. The food provided was perfect. Loads of Greek dishes and fresh wonderful fruit and vegetables. One night they put on a Greek BBQ with live entertainment that was wonderful.

At the Aego Spa Eva arranged some wonderful treatments for my husband and I. Chrysa had a wonderful sense of touch and knew the areas that needed the most attention in my treatment. The location is everything with Kalimera Kriti and if we could we would stay here for a month at a time.

We had a great time, it was really beautiful. Two private beaches, and 3 nice pools, a nice minigolf area. The room was nice and all important things were clean and working. So overall its definetly 5/5 for me, although there is one thing i really have to add here as it really surprised me at such a nice hotel:

The loudness of the shows in the evening. is absolutely irresponsible and dangerous, especially as there is always kids in the front row. Musicians would have been really good but because it was so loud, it wasnt really enjoyable. The fact that there were a lot of feedback loops caused by the loudness and the general setup of the monitors didnt make it better. Having the musicians walk between the boxes with the mic in their hand to change the song is absolutely unprofessional and id really suggest to hire a trained audio engineer or replace the current as all of this is not a professional setup and it could be fixed quite easily without many costs.

It was the best hotel ever I ever visited…the food was amazing, the staff from all the posts were so nice with us and very welcoming, especially the spa girls. Kallia from spa welcomed us with very polite and courtesy way, we tried many different treatments which you should try without second thought. The hotel olso has babysitting, wich executes a very nice and kind girl, she was so nice with the kids and she took care of them in the way.

First of all we want to thank the animation of the miniclub to give our 7 year old daughter Charlotte the days of her life. No effort was too big. The miniclub during the day, the minidisco at 20:00, and also some evenings during the entertainment. She was winner of the Bingo and Wetten Das. The firework, the certificate, it was all magic. What an experience. Eleonora Nicoletta Lina Loretto Paolo you are the best, and we could only smile to see how she enjoyed herself!

Everyone in the resort is very friendly. It is a beautiful resort. The private beach is enormous. There is a huge pool, but also a pool only for grown ups who like peace. And a pool for the youngest. The entertainment during the evening is amazing.

We hired a car and we went to two nice cities. We went to an aquarium and dinosaurworld and had some nice trips to smaller places. It was an unforgetable holiday.

One of the best resorts I have ever been to. Fantastic village with great food. The best facilities and spa. Wonderful beach and swimming pools. Great for a family vacation.

Stunning hotel. A very large resort with lots of things to do. The beach is beautiful, the food was great and the service was excellent. We had a wonderful time, and we’re almost thinking about going here again some time. I can dearly recommend!

Kalimera Kriti is a wonderful place. Wonderful view. Most wonderful team and excellent service all over the place. Thank you for the wonderful week in this fantastic business an family hotel!

Idyllic place! The resort is big and offers something for everyone, different beaches, different pools and entertainment if you want to join in. Good for families and couples, it’s so large it feels like there’s space for everyone. My only concern is that the service at the restaurants was poor. There’s clearly a lack of staff and not enough waiters to cater for the large number of guests. It also appeared tired in places, many facilities (like additional bars and taverna) were not open in the peak of summer 2021, despite full occupancy. This is a lovely place with amazing potential, but needs more investment in the service provided to guests.
