Nice hotel, great service, little up hill, 20 minutes from beach by walk

The view for the sea-side rooms is breathtaking. At first we thought that climbing all the stairs is going to be a problem but we got used to it fairly quick.
Food was very varied so we could always find something good to eat. Open bar was also great and the staff very friendly.
The room was very clean however, the room smelled a bit funny and there was also a smell coming from the bathroom drain. The smells persisted throughout the stay despite constantly having the windows open but the good parts mentioned above compensated for the disconfort.

Good budget hotel - quiet with no entertainment etc. I'd advise better for older couple and not so much for families with children who want to be entertained as there is nothing for them other than the pool, which is rather small. No hotel shop selling Inflatables etc (although they'd make a fortune!) so no one has anything in the pool, which was very cold when we came in April (temperature was 24⁰c but pools very cold)

The location is OK- its up a steep hill so be prepared for that if you intend on walking. There is no beach close by. The sea is approx 400m away but rocky edges, not a sandy beach. If you walk about 1 mile to the left at the bottom of the hill, you'll reach the town of Hersonnossis which has a buzzing nightlife, lots of bars, restaurants etc. Similarly, walk about 1.5 miles to the right and you'll reach Malia, which everyone knows is Greece's party capital.

The rooms are dated, but cleaned daily. The whole hotel is pretty dated, they are still using pens and paper booking systems and turn in the lock keys for the rooms. There is free WiFi though.

The food is typical all inclusive buffet with lots of Greek specials. Very cold in the restaurant compared to outside so the food didn't always stay warm for long. Note that not all drinks are included in the all inclusive price- just lager, gin, vodka, wine and soft/hot drinks. No cocktails etc although they are available at extra cost.

All in all, it's a good, budget location. If you want to be close to the nightlife etc or have young children to keep busy, I'd probably choose elsewhere.

Good hotel, nice food and all inclusive. Only negative it is off the beaten track a bit, although most beaches are walkable for average person. Hotel is on a side of a hill and for a sea view you need to be on floor 5 or above, however lift only goes to first floor then lots of stairs.

Beautiful and good taste Holiday. Good Prices, kind staff, many meals for choose. We good started this hot summer there. Thanks for all. 🙂🙂

I would say it is the best hotel we have stayed at so far.
Great (and plenty) of food, different types, sweets, fruit and ice-cream, snacks available between lunch and dinner, drinks available from 11am to 11pm.
Great staff, always willing to help and always nice and friendly.
Clean rooms and cleaning service everyday. Even the pool and the bar is so nice and relaxing.
The only thing I would suggest is to change the furniture in the rooms, however I understand that the pandemic didn't help either.
We can only recommend it! It has been a great experience and will definately come back next time we will be in Crete.

Okay, in my opinion I would give 4 stars, only because of the building and room. We were in 141 and it needs some renovation, hotel unfortunately as well. Some public toilets sometimes are not clean. On photos room and hotel looks much better and fresh. I am not agree with marks from other people from Poland, because before booking you can see that it is not near the beach and situated on the hill. That's why I give 5 stars, you deserve better ranking on Google in my opinion. I would like to thank all your team for good service, all of the people were really cool and nice. Bulgarian security guy is very friendly and nice person to talk, and bold head barman working evening shift is also nice and professional bar worker (sorry don't know their names). Regarding food, I would not say it is perfect, but for this price it was on good level, most of dishes vere just tasty and fresh. Maybe I will agree that this place is a bit better for families and elder people, if you even would have parties I don't think I would hang out with drunk russians walking around with their countryside music from private speakers. Room service was also good, nice and smiling lady was cleaning our room and changing towels every day. In general, I think if you work on small mistakes reported by guests, you will receive better marks. Wish you all the best.

Overall, a lovely place. Delicious food, typical greek room standard for this amount of stars, air conditioning included in the final price during the high season, generally helpful hotel crew. You have to remember that the swimming pool is salty as well as the shower near to it. To sum up - very good memories from our honeymoon 😉
