Abaton Island Resort & Spa in Hersonissos

When you walk into the foyer, it is breathtaking. Clean minimalist lines, clearly designed by someone at the top of their game. The resort is spectacular, perched above a rugged coastline, it truly is luxurious. Our room (with a private pool) was very good, great bed and very clean. The pool was very cold in September but it was nice to sit near it. Strange thing was there are dividers between the pools to provide privacy, but only on every second room. We found that a bit strange.
The staff we encountered were great, yes service lacked occasionally, but overall we had nice people doing their best. The food was terrific, every meal we had there was excellent.
The hotel is a fair way from the airport and is clearly the best place in the area.
If you are planning on a lot of tours, it’s about 40 mins from the main city.
Overall, beautiful place, just a few tweaks required.

The best and most luxurious hotel we’ve ever stayed at! We truly felt at home. everyone was so kind and dedicated. The food was of exceptional quality, and the entire experience was amazing. We’ve already booked our next stay for next year!

A very smart hotel with excellent sea views and a lovely main swimming pool. You can have room with its own jacuzzi and garden, or one with a plunge pool or a share infinity pool.
The bath by the bed and open plan wash basin is a bit odd, and if you do feel like having a bath, it would take an absolute age to fill. The rooms are spotless but more attention to refilling teas coffee and replacement of towels would be better than the little treats left. We did not use the hotel for meals other than breakfast which was fabulous, a great range of food on offer. The only gripe about the pool area was that you had to use an app on your phone ( that didn't always work) or catch the attention of a server. The music was a little annoying and towers were not always available first thing, but on the whole, a great hotel.

My wife and I recently stayed at Abaton Hotel for the second time, and this visit was even more special as it was our first time traveling with our baby. From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable.

We were pleasantly surprised when the hotel upgraded our room, adding an extra touch of luxury to our stay. The attention to detail was impressive, and we felt truly pampered throughout our stay.

Whether it was providing recommendations for local attractions or ensuring we had everything we needed for our baby, the staff's dedication to guest satisfaction was evident.

Overall, our experience at Abaton Hotel was nothing short of amazing. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and family-friendly getaway. We can't wait to return for another memorable stay.

Dreamy! This was an amazing stay. The rooms are so beautiful and cozy, with everything one would need and more. The food was incredible! We ate at three restaurants and they were all outstanding. We also used the fitness center and spa and enjoyed both. The massages were relaxing and perfect for the atmosphere here. The beach and pool chairs are nice as well, with gorgeous views and decent beach access. The service…. Just perfect! Everyone was so very kind and helpful. The concierge even helped us rent a car. We booked last minute after fleeing another not so nice place booked by our travel agent. This was absolutely the best move. Can’t recommend enough and would absolutely return! Thank you all! ❤️

As good as always, but unfortunately the hotel facilities are a bit old, especially the swimming pool, which is not so amazing.

Just got back from 4nights at this hotel it was complete bliss. Location is great. More restaurants and hooka lounges within 15-20 min walk. The Buddha Bar restaurant was so good. The sushi was perfect I ordered the same thing everyday! The hotel grounds truly breath taking with the sunset views. They gave us a free room upgrade with a plunge pool. Service and staff were so friendly and helpful. I would come back in a heart beat! Thank you for everything!!!!

Great hotel, actually perfect!! We had the room with private pool it's amazing. The restaurants are a little expensive but well worth it and the food is amazing. The service is professional. I would most probably come here again
