Hotel Kapitany Wellness

Had lunch at this hotel.
What I liked most was the fact that stuff was speaking English. What a nice surprise in Hungary.
Also the food was good. I would like to point out the steak with black pepper sauce. Delicious! And rague, mushrooms were such a great addition.

The hotel brings back the medieval knightly world dressed in modern clothes. The reception is open from 0 to 24. There is nothing wrong with the rooms. You can choose the side facing the castle, because the other side is noisier when the window is open. The beds are comfortable, the TV is modern, there is wifi in the room. The staff is prepared, respectful, kind and friendly, helpful. The restaurant area is large, easily accommodates several people, available everywhere. The food was really (!!!) very tasty, well seasoned. It featured a large selection, except for chicken. Not often it was chicken, mostly it was beef and pork. It was also a fruit platter for breakfast and dinner. The waiters liked the dress the most. The wellness center had two types of Finnish saunas (80-90 degrees and 60-70 degrees), a steam cabin and an infrared sauna. In the middle there was a small pool with cold water. The pools were filled with thermal water. The smallest one was pleasantly warm, the big pool was 28 degrees. There are not many attractions in this area, but there are more. (Zalasanto, Tapolca). On Wednesdays you can take part in a knight's tournament! Very well equipped hotel, and we really pay attention to every little detail. We recommend staying here!

I came here with my wife and 3 kids and to just use my daughters words "this hotel is a 5 star for kids". Every year I try to visit 2-3 places around Hungary and within similar standard and this is my new ultimate favorite.
I absolutely love the story of the owner, the castle nearby is just top. All the surrounding additional awesomeness stuff like the csarda or the show. A MA ZING.
One thing that I also absolutely loved was that each family had their table dedicated for breakfast and dinner. This made things so much more simple, avoided table fights and contributed to ultimate great experience.
Like many other people commenting here, I'll be back to this place for sure.

My wife and kids went last summer and they can't stop talking about how much they want to go back. I guess I will visit Hungary next summer.

Fabulous thermal spa hotel, with delicious food from their own farm. Stunning panoramic views of Sümeg castle. We left feeling ten years younger!

Our room was good & comfortable as you would expect fom a 4star hotel. Breakfast, and the standard dinner were delicious. Ping pong table and set plus an old -little bit worn- pool table are provided, but still fun to play if you are not a professional. There are several pools, but they lack on wellness, and jacuzzy feature, thats why I distract a star from my rating. Everything else is ok

Beautiful hotel, and location, service exellent, food very delicious, castle top of the hill beautiful , you must visit this hotel , highly recommended it 5* 😍
