During the day hotel was very nice, especially pool next to the brick wall was amazing. Food was tasty althought there were not too much choice for vegans. The hotel stuff was very kind and they were serving very quickly.
Unfortunately during the evenings some old guy who had btw really nice voice, was playing sooo oldfashioned Hungarian music which was famous 40 years ago.. it was soo killing the evening mood and making people sleepy, that around 22 pm people went to the rooms. No any other music was neither in the bar, nor next to the pool. Hotel is not allowing to smoke on the balcony, however you can smoke next to the restaurant tables, next to children pool. If you want to encourage people to drink in the bar
please play some music at least from this century.

Fabulous thermal spa hotel, with delicious food from their own farm. Stunning panoramic views of Sümeg castle. We left feeling ten years younger!

Our room was good & comfortable as you would expect fom a 4star hotel. Breakfast, and the standard dinner were delicious. Ping pong table and set plus an old -little bit worn- pool table are provided, but still fun to play if you are not a professional. There are several pools, but they lack on wellness, and jacuzzy feature, thats why I distract a star from my rating. Everything else is ok

Beautiful hotel, and location, service exellent, food very delicious, castle top of the hill beautiful , you must visit this hotel , highly recommended it 5* 😍

Food was excellent and they have some gluten free and dairy free options. Very few but still, it is available. The hotel is nice and with kids 6 and 8 the kid's pool was fun. There was some entertainment for children every night.
The room was disappoinment.
The bathroom was odd, the toilet paper holder was on the other side of the bathroom in front of the toilet to far away to reach.... Wierd.
Also we booked last minute and ended up in a room were there were only single beds put together for the adults For our kids they had one comfortable bed but the other was a pull out bed which was super uncomfortable. When we mentioned it as we were paying for the room their only comment was : next time book a different room. Very rude.
Also the steam bath did not work properly. When I mentioned to the receptionist they said: they will fix it tomorrow. She did make a call when I asked her politely again about it. The other spa services worked well.

Great place, we where there about 14 years ago and the hotel and its facilities remain in a very good condition. In some aspect it become even beter. The SPA is nice and clean. The undercover hipodrom is very nice. The horses ahow is wonderful. The castel above the hotel is amizing. We enjoyed ourself a lot in thr weekend we spent overthere.

Stuff that did annoy me or more like where they could improve:
- diving water temperature : its too hot. I get it, you have to have the thub not that cold but then what's with the showers? Why dont I have access to cold water afer being in the sauna. Such a wasted opportunity. This doesnt even cost anything.
- wellness gadgets : sprinklers and stuff. Some of them did work but nearly half of them did not... The ones for the kids ton be precise did not. The place was packed so it wasnt that there weren't enough guests... I know these things are hard to maintain, but I feel a bit tricked: they are offering you the coolest wellnes experience and then the gadets are off/broken 50%. Not cool. Either report this on the site or fix them.

Beautiful wellness hotel in Sumeg, driving distance from lake Balaton.
Pools are clean, rooms tidy. Towels, slippers, bathrobes provided.
Breakfast - dinner combo highly recommended. Food is fantastic.
