Reviews
The staff is super friendly and professional. I received an upgrade to king grand deluxe from the king accessible room due to status. I was was guided to my room and shown the amenities, including how to operate the "in mirror" tv in the bathroom.
The room is spacious, clean, and the access the the patio/balcony was nice. I could walk the "roof top' area for the "original" building.
The food was excellent too, my included breakfast was bountiful with a lot of choices.
So we have this very nice hotel with great service and staff, but the cherry on top is the location. It's a walking distance from the Old City (maybe around 15 to 20 mins walk).
Would definitely stay here again if in Jerusalem.
First, the front desk told us to come early; they would get our room ready fast. We ended up being ignored for two hours. They didn't even have a room in mind for us. Luckily, there was a fantastic employee in the Concierge department who invited us to the restaurant for coffee while she chased our room. We were able to stay in touch with her the next day, and she fixed the mattress problem and got us some compensation.
Then, the Tea and Scones at the restaurant was attractive, but didn't adhere to the traditional menu (no clotted cream). The waitress didn't care, and tried to pass off whipped cream instead.
Finally, at the rooftop Garden Terrace, the waiter forgot our drink order. We had to chase him for it, and he wasn't at all apologetic.
As I said, fantastic facility, but most of the staff is below par for high-end hotel.
The servers definetly made a good effort.
All in all it was a decent experience but not the amazing experience we were expecting which was disappointing especially considering the high price. It has potential but lots of room for improvement.
The rooms are beautiful and spacious, and the beds very comfortable. The bathrooms are elegant and equipped with both a large bathtub and a separate shower - complete with a seat, so you can sit and relax in the shower!
The food is scrumptious, and everything there simply exudes luxury.
They have an excellent concierge service, which can help you with bookings, information and more. I got them to finally let the internet know that I'm not a robot.
