The above is what I wrote on the website where I made the booking. My overall score for the hotel ended up being 7.9. After this, the hotel contacted me by e-mail. They wrote to me: "thank you sir for your great feedback. if you were happy with us , please give us a better score."
After this, I will not be staying there again. The score of 7.9 was more than enough for them, considering I thought they could be more careful with cleaning. Our sofa was stained and apparently corners of the room were not worthy of cleaning. Otherwise the room was clean, though. The hotel also had a rooftop terrace. When we went to see it, the tables and chairs were occupied by pigeons and pigeon poop. Also, the hotel does not have an elevator - not a problem for us, but might be for some, especially as we were left to drag our suitcases up the stairs on our own.
The room was small but pleasant and clean. The shower was clean but on the small side. The staff are friendly and attentive.
A good low budget deal.
The downside: a slightly unpleasant smell in the corridor and a noisy pub close by that went on till late at night. So ask for a backside room if you are sensitive to noise and like to sleep with an open balcony door.
Two points for improval:
There is no large mirror anywhere.
Also it would be nice to have a small shelf for toiletries inside the shower cabin.
