The hotel is at a great location, both the exterior and the interior design are great. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food quality and the variety were good. The only downside is the room was way too hot. I would definitely recommend staying here, it’s an even above quality for what you pay for.

100% would go back here. My partner was sick the night we stayed and the staff was kind enough to give us as much help as they could.

A nice place to stay, the rooms are a little bit older, but Clean and all in good shape.
Only the hot water in the shower was shortly a bit rusty, because of an damaged Pipe, which was repaired.
The breakfast is really nice, with a big variance to choose from. The service at all was great, really friendly stuff, thanks.

Good sized rooms, nice tub in the bathroom and a really good breakfast. Everything you can ask for in a hotel. Convenient parking under the hotel (though not included in the booking, the price is low (ten EUR? Can't remember, but certainly nothing obscene)). It's a large hotel, so you might end up, as we did, having a little hike from the elevator to the room, so those with heavy luggage might want to make use of the bellman from the lobby.

The SPA at the Royal Hotel Carlton was A+ - truly amazing. We are from SC/USA and have had many spa visits and the massages given by Antonella were the best ever! She was professional, attentive and exceptional in every way. The spa manager, Anneliese was friendly, kind and caring. They did everything they could to make our spa visit extraordinary. My husband and I both had massages, and both did the visit through the Aqua Relax Path, which was exactly what we needed after all the walking and traveling through Italy. A BEAUTIFUL spa - 5 stars!

Fine hotel. It is clean and has everything you need for a short stay. Poor air-conditioning. A rather basic breakfast.

Very iffy and unstable
WiFi connection but other than that very spacious and clean room and helpful receptionist. Underground parking was also a welcome amenity.

Luxurious hotel close to the center of Bologna! It is really gorgeous, with amazing decoration and super detailed. It has Gym and anything you need for a good stay... I really loved the gym.
