Summary: do not under any circumstance book this hotel for more than 100€/night. 60-80€ is maybe worth it. Depends on your expectations

So for starters we booked this hotel for 120€/night and stayed 5 nights. A red flag should have already been that it was non-refundable if we were to cancel but we went for it anyway.

The location is very good, u can sleep in the room and there is a toilet to do your business on so in that sense we can refer to this establishment as a hotel in central bologna.

First day, the room was supposed to be cleaned but there were a bunch of small black hairs on the floor so maybe the vacuum malfunctioned and they could not clean the room.

The toilet had a sanitary seal, indicating the high standards of hygeine and that the toilet had at least been cleaned once. Unfortunately, after my first test-run of the thing, there was no toilet brush to be found. Luckily for us, most days they would grace our toilet with a scrub of the hotel-toiletbrush.

The first night someone started vaccuuming in the hallway at midnight for some reason. The days after it did not happen again.

For the breakfast, as an initial discloser we did 30k steps / day for 5 days straight and me and my girlfriend have a combined weight of +-200kg (mostly me).

U get the choice between 3 breakfasts which are delivered up to your room. All 3 of them contain microscopic traces of food in different flavours. My girlfriend asked if they had milk free alternatives as she is allergic to milk protein but the response was basically "tough luck" (wrong country to be allergic to milk, i know...)
After the first breakfast we requested more food the coming days. Something that would be repeated the days after by us and ignored even harder by the personnel.

On top of being way to heavy and doing way too many steps, I might also have a caffeine dependency, borderline addiction. I do not drink for pleasure anymore. The ladies at the hotel helped me very nicely in detoxing as there was 1cup of coffee (+-80mL) included in breakfast and when u ask for more, they kindly remind u that it is at extra charge (reminder 125€/night for 80mL coffee in the morning)

First thing we usually did when we left the hotel was usually find more coffee and go to the grocery store next to the hotel to buy additional fruit, bread, ham for breakfast.

In short, the hotel has a bed and a toilet. Thats it. Do not pay more than 80ish€ per night or u are getting massively ripped off. We made a stupid mistake and booked all 5 non-refundable nights at once.
So if u decide to go for it anyway, please start by booking one night first and extending your stay afterwards if you are pleased.

we had a cellar room without window or fresh air!! in the bathroom the same! Even if we did not book such a room we got it ...

What a great entrance area and I just love this unique design. We did just a last minute booking - nevertheless the price was great! Also the breakfast is really recommendable (but please make the eggs hot...) - the crossaints, cafe (...) just great! Especially the nice collegues at the reception are so friendly - you really feel welcome. The hotel room is clean and the hotel itself is located really in the center, but just as many minutes away so that it's not that crowded.

But now we really have to say as the hotel was not fully booked the fact that we just got a room without any window and the AC was not working prperly/enough is not acceptable. This room was like a cellar room and not a hotel room! The bathtoom also did not have window or anything. If we knew that we would get such a room we would defenitely not have chosen this hotel!

Perhaps I had unrealistic expectations, but given the amount of money (paid upfront) I felt very let down. This is a VERY overpriced bed and breakfast. Of the three staff, two spoke English and were pleasant and helpful.

Unfortunately, there were building-wide power cuts roughly every two hours and the air conditioning did not work. I was told that an electrician would be coming by soon, but looking through reviews of the past year I realise this is a longstanding claim.

Sad to say that I cut my week in Bologna short by two days because of this hotel.
