Five star hotel with five star service! Andrea and his team were phenomenal. They made us feel welcome from the moment we stepped down from the taxi. Can't complain about the free upgrade to the Presidential suite (from our Junior suite) 😜. Hopefully the photos do it some justice. Splendid suite containing two rooms. Convenient for a family of four. They even allowed a complimentary late checkout and a good incentive for our next visit. You might need deep pockets to stay here, but I'd say if you are a fan of traditional things, this is a place to definitely stay at. Also quite central in the city of Bologna. Breakfast was good and the staff at the restaurant were friendly and patient with kids too. Comes recommended.

Big let down and DOES NOT belong in the category for "Leading Hotels of the world". After traveling all over Italy, this was one of the most expensive stays, yet our least favorite hotel. The service was good and the rooms were beautiful, but the amenities were lacking. The bed sheets felt like sand paper and very uncomfortable, at the time of stay (November 28th) the AC was off so personally I was hot and had to get a fan sent to room which helped. The pillows aren't comfortable. I've had better sheets, beds, and pillows at 2 star hotels. The bedding and comfort is not 5 star hotel quality.
The restaurant they have is NOT good, and we spent almost 300 Euro for sub-par food that we only ate 2 dishes for the 6 dish tasting. Great presentation. Great service, horrible taste. My date almost threw up after the first dish (truffle mushroom). The tortellini were hard and I even mentioned to the waiter who basically told me they were suppose to be like that and made it seem like i didnt know whay i was talking about. Not sure how the staff cant catch on to us not eating the food and the disgusted looks we gave with the food. Not to mention, the silverware was dirty, and they brought me a dirty knife 2 different times after each time asking for clean silverware.
Overall, I wouldn't stay here again and encourage anyone else to look at other options since you are going to overpay for what they consider 5 star quality. I will just stay in Florence at the Villa Cora next time and take a train for the day if I need to come back to Bologna. But I will never come back here.

The Grand Hotel Majestic gia Baglioni is an exemplary 5 star hotel with a perfect location coupled with fabulous staff.
We visited the hotel for some drinks when visiting Bologna. We ordered rose champagne in Cafe Marinetti and were truly blessed to be taken care of by our host Mr Alessio Campaniello. He treated us with the most personable respect and kindness.
He was so attentive and professional whilst making us feel like family. Always smiling and ensuring that we as guests were his priority. He is a true ambassador for the hotel.
The hotel is very special with charming features and history. Definitely a luxury property part of The Leading Hotels of the world family.

This is a 5-start hotel with 6-star staff. It worth every penny. Here are the reasons I think you should book this hotel:
- The staff is very friendly and helpful. On our arrival day, due to bad weather, we couldn’t find a taxi to get to hotel. We called the hotel and they were so nice and sent us a taxi. They also helped us to find local restaurants and made a reservation for us when most places were already booked.
- Rooms are very clean. They have twice a day room service which makes our stay more pleasant. They also sent us anything that we wanted for our room right away.
- Breakfast is included and delicious. They have variety of food/pastries with a vibrant environment.
- Location is awesome, center of all touristic places. Steps away from Piazza Maggiore.

The Grand Hotel Majestic gia Baglioni is a fantastic hotel to stay at in Bologna, particularly for first time visitors. The location is close to virtually all major sights in Bologna. The staff here is particularly excellent--thoughtful, attentive and helpful in the extreme. Highly recommended.

The Gia is the perfect hotel for your stay in Bologna. First, the staff from the time you arrive at the front entrance to the time you depart are spectacular. They door staff greets you each time to arrive and depart. The front desk staff will provide directions and recommendation without asking. The breakfast if you choose to include it (worth it) is fresh and delicious. The courtyard where you can eat transports you back to a prior time. The location is central to everything. The train station is a 15 walk. We will return for our next stay in Bologna.

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at your hotel for 5 days, May 15th thru May 20th. The hotel was magnificent, and what truly made our stay special was your amazing staff.
While everyone from the housekeeping staff to the breakfast staff were the most professional people we have ever experienced in any hotel, we wanted to say that Julia, Rafaella, and Miriam at the front desk were exceptional. They assisted us with everything we needed, were always smiling and greeted us by our names, and went out of their way to handle some difficult situations that we had.
You are clearly doing an amazing job at training your staff to be 5 Star employees.

Grand Hotel Majestic is where you want to stay in Bologna whenever you're splurging.
- Location: hard to beat a stone's throw from Piazza Maggiore but still walking distance to the train station
- Restaurant: very solid and happy to accommodate/improvise custom requests. The house cocktail is also exquisite.
- Rooms: spacious but could use some renovation
- Service: impeccable top to bottom with the concierge being especially noteworthy
