The doorman, Umberto, was the top of his profession. We were lost driving into the city - they sent a person 6 blocks over to walk us down the streets to the front of the hotel. The hotel is lovely and the best location. I've stayed in Florence many times - I will return to this hotel from now on.
I have never in my LIFE had a better hotel experience. We received an upgrade to the pool suite - one word, WOW. We were absolutely blown away by the amenities, the service, the room, the food, the view. I could go on. Will recommend this hotel to anyone who will listen.
Side note, Every time I took the elevator and the door opened, it played three notes, which reminded me of the song, sunny days, from Sesame Street, which put a pep in my step.
If I visit Florence again I would definitely stay here! I highly recommend it.
We had a terrific suite without a view. Be warned that it can be noisy on the street but it wasn’t any worse than any other typical city.
Also the ancient tower connected to the hotel gets a lot of tourist attention so there are often many tour groups located near the entrance.
Hotel guests get to check out the free museum located inside (takes about 10 minutes).
Breakfast is nice and offers a lot of different selections.
The beds are quite comfy and there is a lot of storage for items.
Housekeeping did a terrific job, coming in twice per day.
