Hotel Tourist House
Florence, Via Della Scala 1 🧭 Map
Absolute shithole, quite literally raw sewage leaking from the macerator. Internet down for three days. Noisy as hell despite being the only one staying here.
Adorable, amazing location, super friendly and helpful staff. Clean, quiet, great value. Our room was super quiet and dark- able.
Very lovely hotel
Basic budget hotel, clean & well equipped. Okay for our 2-day stay in Florence, close to station and for sightseeing. Breakfast not really up to much, hoped for toast or ham& cheese rolls.
The Tourist house was very charming, while the furnishings were old, the price was right and the location was excellent. The bathroom was good to great. Hotels of this style in Europe are not staffed all the time, like in the US. This one had a policy that you had to call prior if you were going to be checking in later than 8pm. We didn't have a phone, so we weren't able to call. Instead we had to...
The check in process was easy and the location was very nice. It is only a ten to fifteen minute walk from many interesting parts of Florence. However the beds were very uncomfortable. Aside from that the room was air conditioned and there was free Wi-Fi. Overall it was nice enough and a good deal for the price.

Conveniently located 1 block away from the train station. The staff is professional and pleasant. The rooms were super clean. Bathrooms are small. The breakfast offered a nice array of options with delicious coffee. Walking distance to many places we wanted to visit.
I have really enjoyed my stay here. Hotel stuff was extremely friendly and made everything clear from the beginning. The room was exactly like in the pictures, although a more spacious shower would've been great. The location was perfect and the windows really covered any noise outside once closed. The rooftop terrace was a nice touch and I found it really nice that they had 2 bottles of water in the...
Perfect location to do some tourist destinations. Rooms were clean and bigger than expected. Staff were super friendly, and I enjoyed the breakfast. Rooftop bar adds a nice touch with a stunning view.
The only good thing about this hotel visit was the staff who were very friendly and the rooftop bar and staff there. You don’t get a complimentary breakfast for what you’re paying. Also great location in walking distance of many great restaurants and options. You are in a central location and near a train station so there is a lot of convenience. From the outside walking in you think “wow this is...
Great staff nice hotel. Love the Basel shampoo they had in the room.
I don't have issues with quaint locations but this one needs quite a bit of updating. The painting on the headboard is faded, the soap dispenser in the bathroom was broken, the light by the bed didn't work, there wasn't an iron or ironing board and I think the hair dryer was from the 60s. The breakfast was ok but should I go back to Florence I would select a different hotel.

Everything else is fine. But especially the breakfast service and the staff who serve it are wonderful. The girls are super professional and make everything perfect !! I wish they ran the hotel! The only bad thing, Rafaelle, the homophobic and obnoxious receptionist
Fantastic service and nice rooms and really good staff.
Very helpful and nice in this Corona time. Excellent breakfast.
Bongiorno! I'd like to say a million thanks to the hotel La Fortezza! It was the third time when I and my wife were staying in La Fortezza, and next time we'll stay in La Fortezza again! We love La Fortezza!
The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating, our room was very clean and comfortable, and the location is great if you like being a 10 minute walk from the city center.
Too good. Spacious room and bathroom. Peaceful placr. Cordial reception and breakfast staff. And a grand breakfast with extra touch of fresh free cappuccino on order. A 15 minutes walk from train station and two minute walk from bus stop. The only missing thing was a slant ramp at hotel entry for people with big bags and no one at door to help either to pull the bags up through the steps. Thank god...

Great location
We arrived in Florence in the early morning, the receptionist was very friendly and allowed us to check in earlier. We were amazed at the cleanliness of the room, it was cleaner than in many 5-star hotels, despite the fact that the hotel was in an old building, household appliances in the room and in the bathroom worked very well and were new. Location right in the city centre, 5 minutes walk to Piazza...
Hotel has really fantastic location, breakfast is ok, rooms are clean, staff is friendly. Good starting point to explore the city center.
Awesome place great value
Convenenient to Academia, Ufizzi. Mercato Centrale, Duomo, Shopping Square/Shops, Za Za's Trattoria, Train Station, Ponte Vecchio, etc. Clean rooms, hospitable staff, excellent rates, safe, secure, complimentary breakfast, and more.
Nice, small hotel in the heart of Florence. Close to many tourist attractions. Pleasant staff.
Staff were extremely helpful, attentive and friendly. They were great at giving recommendations for places to eat. Kind and smiling when serving for breakfast. The rooms were spotless if not quite simple, perfect for our needs as long days of sightseeing. Comfy beds. Amazing hotel! Kind staff, good food and amazing rooms!
Stayed at Mario's for a week in 2017 and thoroughly enjoyed the accommodations. The room was neat and clean and the view was out to the street which was rich with street life. Their morning breakfast was what we needed to start our busy day walking around Florence and all it's treasures. And it was relaxing as we arrived back for our restful night!
I liked staying here, it's easy to find from the main train station, it's central, the service is great and the rooms has character but I can only give 4 stars because the bed and the pillows could have been more comfortable.
Best place to stay in Florence...Nice and Lovely people.. great Breakfast.. Peaceful and very clean and also location of the hotel is perfect ...It is close to most popular place to visit plus just 5 minutes walk from train station...I love it so much Thank you

Excellent value for money, rooms where very clean, have a fridge inside them, location is a 10 minutes to the main attractions and a few minutes to the train station. There is a stairs to get into the hotel which if you have a push chair and are disabled you need to take this into consideration. The only downside we had was mosquitos in the room which if you have the air conditioner on they won't come...
Very helpful staff, comfortable room, convenient location to train station
Meant to write a review when we visited in February but forgot. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Art Deco style but refurbished. We had a very large room with all facilities and a lovely modern bathroom. Breakfast was continental but plenty of choice. Staff are charming and very helpful. Only drawback was no tea/coffee in rooms. Would definitely return.
The best thing about the hotel is its location. It's 3 to 4 min walk from Santa Maria Novella train station. Most of the attractions are a 10 min walk. Room size is adequate but the bathrooms are very small and you need to be careful in the shower lest your elbows get hurt. Breakfast is basic but adequate. Reception staff is very helpful
Clean, well located, staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again if I went to Florence again

We had a great time in this hotel! Hope to be back soon in Florence to stay here again!
Nice hotel and friendly staff. Rooms are a little dated and tiny bathrooms. Breakfast was pretty good, some meats, cheese, croissants. I gave 4 stairs because we were not allowed to use the elevator. My mom has a hard time with a lot of stairs so that was a little frustrating. But overall, the stay was nice.
The hotel had a friendly staff and okay breakfast. The room could use some updating and the bathroom was very small but clean. The bed was alright, but the amount of noise at night made it hard to sleep. It seemed like a good area, just would have liked a little more quiet at night.
Decent hotel in a nice part of Florence. Very helpful and courteous staff. Room was comfortable.
Quaint, lovely hotel. A nice walk from the centre. Small bathrooms, but ideal for a couple sharing - considering the age of the buildings and the city as a whole. Nice breakfast and easy to find.
Very clean, cozy, romantic, and protective of this hotel is fantastic, the breakfast is very rich and the staff was very helpful. I recommend it to 100% ??

Hotel Golf, Florence1 / 50
Florence, Viale Fratelli Rosselli 56 🧭 Map
Room is okay at best. Bed is comfortable. AC doesn't work that well, my room was hot all night and the AC is noisy. Kinda pricy for a room with poor AC. The key they give you is ridiculous. A large metal handle attached to a golf ball. It's large and heavy, the last thing you want to carry around with you all day as you're out exploring. Breakfast was okay, coffee is good.
My family and I recently stayed at the Hotel Golf in Bologna and had a positive experience. The location is excellent, providing great connectivity to various parts of the city, making our explorations convenient. The hotel’s amenities and services met our expectations, and the staff was friendly and helpful. However, it would be beneficial if the hotel could install mosquito nets on the windows to...
This hotel was great for our school trip to Italy. It's right in the centre of Firenze and most visits were within walking distance. The rooms are very clean and the beds are replaced each day. The bathroom is small but it does the job, same for the room itself. The walls are quite thin and weak, meaning you hear everything; other rooms and traffic. The breakfast has a large array of delicious treats...
First, I'd like to say how friendly and helpful the staff is. Also, it's spotlessly clean, but could really do with a revamp. We'd booked a double room with twin beds for three nights; however, one of the beds was a foldaway, and nether felt stable nor comfortable. Basic furniture--the wardrobe was big enough, but we only had one draw. A shame the TV didn't have any English channels or Netflix either...
We loved this hotel. So close to the train station so you can hop on & go anywhere. The room itself was great. Clean & plenty of space. Air conditioner was perfect & much needed in the heat. The breakfast they provide is great & plenty. Overall I would recommend this place !
The room was clean.Nice confortable bed.Sound proofing not very good. Near to the center like 15 min by foot. Good-Normal breakfast with boiled eggs and fruit salad.Parking(free I think) at the hotel but limited spaces.

Comfortble place. Nonexistant internet on any floor higher than the second
It's a very comftable bed and everything is awsome!!!! BUT the only thing that bugged me out was that there where many bugs or mosquitoes in the bathroom, and it grossed me out also the wifi connection doesn't reach the 3rd floor so we have to go to the Lobbie to get wifi but other then that I really really like this place to stay in
Hotel very well situated, close to the main train station of Florence and a few minutes walk from the main sightseeing of the city. Good service, maybe breakfast could have more variety. Allow to store the luggage after the check-out and return to them when deemed necessary.
Hotel well located, next to the train station and city center. Breakfast was included but a little bit poor, no real Italian coffee available. Good Wi-Fi.
Excellent service and attention, the managers were very cordial. I hope to return soon. Thanks a lot
Good clean Hotel, not a 10-minute walk from the train station of Santa Maria Novella. Room spacious and clean, as was the bathroom, a bit noisy (we were on the first floor directly on the street, but, leaving the window closed and turning on the air conditioner, the problem practically does not exist. All the staff is extremely courteous and helpful.

Excellent hotel in the heart of Florence. Beautiful rooms and stylish hall in a storic building. Good breakfast
Very friendly and courteous service. Very good located. Fair price. Clean. Meets our expectations.
Lovely quiet hotel close to Florence attractions. Spotless friendly with large rooms . Beautiful seating areas good continental breakfast x
Lovely stay at Hotel Morandi alla Crocetta. Really beautiful and unique hotel, which from our understanding was a convent as recently as 1997. We had the fresco room, which was lovely to wake up to. It was also well equipped with a mini fridge. Staff were very kind and accommodating, and breakfast was very good. Would not hesitate to recommend.
I took one star off because I was not allowed to make a reservation without a credit card. But I highly recommend this place. Central location, good service, reasonable price, and above all beautiful interior design. Ask for a quiet room, away from the street.
It seems a bit old and it smells like my grandpa.

Amazing quality for the price. Can't believe this great hotel is just 3 star. Absolutely better and don't hesitate to give 5 star. Definitely recommend and will come again if we come to Firenze again!!!
Loved the location... love the hotel!
When I think in Italy at these challenging times I remember my staying at this hotel. My daughters and I went to Italy for vacation and were in different cities, but this place was "outstanding". We hope you are well, and keep open as we will be back!
Absolutely fabulous. So much history to the building. The bedroom was a good size. The hotel is 4 floors up and there are a couple of lifts. The staff were brilliant at breakfast, always smiling and helpful with a good choice of food. The hot choices were scrambled eggs and bacon. Centrally located with so many restaurants and shops. So much to do and see. My favourite city.
Nice and central. Breakfast was great with espresso coffees made to order. Rooms were dated but clean and spacious. Staff were all friendly. Definitely recommend
It is interesting that the hotel has photos of Hitler and Mussolini parading in front of the hotel. Today, it is a good hotel with a lot of history. They have clean rooms and a great breakfast service.

Wonderful location, peaceful but so easy to get to the historic centre and many many restaurants on your doorstep. Recommend the rooms with a terrace as spacious and great views of nearby gardens. Thank you for a lovely stay.
Fantastic hotel option within walking distance of everything a visitor would come to see, with the added bonus of being away from the most busy areas. The breakfast is excellent, and the nearby cafes and restaurants are lovely as well. I also can't say enough about the amazing staff. I had a very difficult situation with a package needing to be sent back to the USA and in desperation asked the hotel...
Great location. Around 30 min walk to the town centre and very close to some amazing restaurants and live music which the staff recommended. Very welcoming and helpful staff, tasty breakfast. The building is lovely, has lots of history and character. Only real downside is the rooms. Yes, we expected them to be dated, but the bath and sink were very rusty and unfortunately detracted from the cleanliness...
Im gonna start off by saying service was amazing perfect, SO helpful and kind. All the staff made the place worth it. There was an outside area that was very nice to have also. Sadly, our AC was not working and the double bed was two small beds joined together so we were kind of divided. The bathroom was also really old and cleanliness did not reflect the price point. Again, staff was absolutely amazing...
Stayed as a couple in Aug21. Great and friendly service, good breakfast (relative other Italian hotels), located in the less touristic area of Florence but still close to all. Historical building, meaning it’s not top renovated (but still good) but instead has a renaissance charm. Would stay again.
Our stay at Hotel Annalena was perfect. The rooms are spacious, clean, and in a very appreciable authentic style. The receptionist went above and beyond in the service provided. Even posting for us a package of elements we forgot in our room. I can only recommend this hotel, whether your stay be short or long.

Great location! While the elevator is a bit tiny 2 people + 2 luggage, it gets you up three stories to checkin. The staff is very friendly and the breakfast is simple, but satisfying!
Pretty Nice place, I found quietness. The hotel is very clean, great hospitality, didn’t find any problem connecting to the WiFi. I will recommend you & for sure will come back later. Thanks
Decent hotel with 24/7 front desk located in the 3 Rd floor of the building. There is a small elevator in the building. The staffs are helpful. The breakfast was ok, not great.
The room was clean, the bed was OK and the breakfast was decent. BUT the rooms were not sound isolated at all, from 6 am people were closing the door and it sounded like the door of our room was open. The bathroom was extremely extremely small and made taking a shower a horrible experience. Would not recommend.
Incredible value. I’d pay double for what you get here. The facilities are great, everything clean, comfortable beds and furnishings, and I felt very safe and welcomed. The staff and owners are all very professional hit at the same time warm and friendly. I was grateful to choose this place to rest after many days exploring the local area. I’ll be back 🙏🏻
Decent hotel for a short stay in Florence. Good value for money. Perhaps I wouldn't recommend it for a long stay due to lack of comfort and noisy location.
