Conveniently located 1 block away from the train station. The staff is professional and pleasant. The rooms were super clean. Bathrooms are small. The breakfast offered a nice array of options with delicious coffee. Walking distance to many places we wanted to visit.
I have really enjoyed my stay here. Hotel stuff was extremely friendly and made everything clear from the beginning. The room was exactly like in the pictures, although a more spacious shower would've been great. The location was perfect and the windows really covered any noise outside once closed. The rooftop terrace was a nice touch and I found it really nice that they had 2 bottles of water in the...
Perfect location to do some tourist destinations. Rooms were clean and bigger than expected. Staff were super friendly, and I enjoyed the breakfast. Rooftop bar adds a nice touch with a stunning view.
The only good thing about this hotel visit was the staff who were very friendly and the rooftop bar and staff there. You don’t get a complimentary breakfast for what you’re paying. Also great location in walking distance of many great restaurants and options. You are in a central location and near a train station so there is a lot of convenience. From the outside walking in you think “wow this is...
Great staff nice hotel. Love the Basel shampoo they had in the room.
I don't have issues with quaint locations but this one needs quite a bit of updating. The painting on the headboard is faded, the soap dispenser in the bathroom was broken, the light by the bed didn't work, there wasn't an iron or ironing board and I think the hair dryer was from the 60s. The breakfast was ok but should I go back to Florence I would select a different hotel.

The room is not exactly the same image as is it in website, bathroom very outdated, the room is ok. But the fridge doesn't stay closed to keep our water bottles cold. The cleaner comes in daily with fresh towels, which I'm impressive. Daily breakfast is ok. The reception staff are excellent. The hotel is close to all amenities. We only have to walk everywhere & and love it. Train station is only 1...
Located right in the centre of Florence and within walking distance to the S M Novella train station. Friendly staff. Loved our stay, especially the convenient location. Charming historical hotel whose age did not bother too much.
Overall, Hotel San Giorgio & Olimpic is a 3-star hotel with a great price. The location is fantastic, close to everything, and you can walk to many main attractions. It’s also right by the train station, which is very convenient. The rooms are okay but not the best. The pillows were uncomfortable, and the shower wasn’t good at all. The water pressure was low, and the hot water wasn’t consistent. The...
Perfect location! Breakfast is normal and still could be improved! Staff is excellent and very helpful especially on the reception . Room was cleaned every day! Balcony is a must for fresh air. TV is small and was out of order! Hair dryer was burnt and spare was given from reception. Lift is for 5 person and was good. Very close to train station and to all places to visit average time 15-25 min by...
Great service, really good and caring. The rooms was nice and but could use an update, but that is many also the charm of the hotel. Breakfast was great. Would def come back
We have been a few days in Florence and really enjoyed our stay, in part due to the hotel. A few outstanding points: - other reviews mention this as well, the staff is really friendly and makes you feel welcome. - it is really really close to the tram way from the airport. So convenient - it is really close to everything we wanted to visit in the city. Get off the plane - walk over to T2 tram - walk...
Pompei ruins and dining within walking distance You could eat off the floors, even in the hallways. Staff was very friendly and accomodating, night when we arrived and the next morning.
Excelent location, great staff, a good breakfast. But an excelent price/quality relation. I recomend!!

Everything else is fine. But especially the breakfast service and the staff who serve it are wonderful. The girls are super professional and make everything perfect !! I wish they ran the hotel! The only bad thing, Rafaelle, the homophobic and obnoxious receptionist
Fantastic service and nice rooms and really good staff.
Very helpful and nice in this Corona time. Excellent breakfast.
Bongiorno! I'd like to say a million thanks to the hotel La Fortezza! It was the third time when I and my wife were staying in La Fortezza, and next time we'll stay in La Fortezza again! We love La Fortezza!
The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating, our room was very clean and comfortable, and the location is great if you like being a 10 minute walk from the city center.
Too good. Spacious room and bathroom. Peaceful placr. Cordial reception and breakfast staff. And a grand breakfast with extra touch of fresh free cappuccino on order. A 15 minutes walk from train station and two minute walk from bus stop. The only missing thing was a slant ramp at hotel entry for people with big bags and no one at door to help either to pull the bags up through the steps. Thank god...

Great location
We arrived in Florence in the early morning, the receptionist was very friendly and allowed us to check in earlier. We were amazed at the cleanliness of the room, it was cleaner than in many 5-star hotels, despite the fact that the hotel was in an old building, household appliances in the room and in the bathroom worked very well and were new. Location right in the city centre, 5 minutes walk to Piazza...

Awesome place great value
Convenenient to Academia, Ufizzi. Mercato Centrale, Duomo, Shopping Square/Shops, Za Za's Trattoria, Train Station, Ponte Vecchio, etc. Clean rooms, hospitable staff, excellent rates, safe, secure, complimentary breakfast, and more.
Nice, small hotel in the heart of Florence. Close to many tourist attractions. Pleasant staff.
Staff were extremely helpful, attentive and friendly. They were great at giving recommendations for places to eat. Kind and smiling when serving for breakfast. The rooms were spotless if not quite simple, perfect for our needs as long days of sightseeing. Comfy beds. Amazing hotel! Kind staff, good food and amazing rooms!
Stayed at Mario's for a week in 2017 and thoroughly enjoyed the accommodations. The room was neat and clean and the view was out to the street which was rich with street life. Their morning breakfast was what we needed to start our busy day walking around Florence and all it's treasures. And it was relaxing as we arrived back for our restful night!
I liked staying here, it's easy to find from the main train station, it's central, the service is great and the rooms has character but I can only give 4 stars because the bed and the pillows could have been more comfortable.
Best place to stay in Florence...Nice and Lovely people.. great Breakfast.. Peaceful and very clean and also location of the hotel is perfect ...It is close to most popular place to visit plus just 5 minutes walk from train station...I love it so much Thank you

We had a great time in this hotel! Hope to be back soon in Florence to stay here again!
Nice hotel and friendly staff. Rooms are a little dated and tiny bathrooms. Breakfast was pretty good, some meats, cheese, croissants. I gave 4 stairs because we were not allowed to use the elevator. My mom has a hard time with a lot of stairs so that was a little frustrating. But overall, the stay was nice.
The hotel had a friendly staff and okay breakfast. The room could use some updating and the bathroom was very small but clean. The bed was alright, but the amount of noise at night made it hard to sleep. It seemed like a good area, just would have liked a little more quiet at night.
Decent hotel in a nice part of Florence. Very helpful and courteous staff. Room was comfortable.
Quaint, lovely hotel. A nice walk from the centre. Small bathrooms, but ideal for a couple sharing - considering the age of the buildings and the city as a whole. Nice breakfast and easy to find.
Very clean, cozy, romantic, and protective of this hotel is fantastic, the breakfast is very rich and the staff was very helpful. I recommend it to 100% ??

Comfortble place. Nonexistant internet on any floor higher than the second
It's a very comftable bed and everything is awsome!!!! BUT the only thing that bugged me out was that there where many bugs or mosquitoes in the bathroom, and it grossed me out also the wifi connection doesn't reach the 3rd floor so we have to go to the Lobbie to get wifi but other then that I really really like this place to stay in
Hotel very well situated, close to the main train station of Florence and a few minutes walk from the main sightseeing of the city. Good service, maybe breakfast could have more variety. Allow to store the luggage after the check-out and return to them when deemed necessary.
Hotel well located, next to the train station and city center. Breakfast was included but a little bit poor, no real Italian coffee available. Good Wi-Fi.
Excellent service and attention, the managers were very cordial. I hope to return soon. Thanks a lot
Good clean Hotel, not a 10-minute walk from the train station of Santa Maria Novella. Room spacious and clean, as was the bathroom, a bit noisy (we were on the first floor directly on the street, but, leaving the window closed and turning on the air conditioner, the problem practically does not exist. All the staff is extremely courteous and helpful.

Wonderful location, peaceful but so easy to get to the historic centre and many many restaurants on your doorstep. Recommend the rooms with a terrace as spacious and great views of nearby gardens. Thank you for a lovely stay.
Fantastic hotel option within walking distance of everything a visitor would come to see, with the added bonus of being away from the most busy areas. The breakfast is excellent, and the nearby cafes and restaurants are lovely as well. I also can't say enough about the amazing staff. I had a very difficult situation with a package needing to be sent back to the USA and in desperation asked the hotel...
Great location. Around 30 min walk to the town centre and very close to some amazing restaurants and live music which the staff recommended. Very welcoming and helpful staff, tasty breakfast. The building is lovely, has lots of history and character. Only real downside is the rooms. Yes, we expected them to be dated, but the bath and sink were very rusty and unfortunately detracted from the cleanliness...
Im gonna start off by saying service was amazing perfect, SO helpful and kind. All the staff made the place worth it. There was an outside area that was very nice to have also. Sadly, our AC was not working and the double bed was two small beds joined together so we were kind of divided. The bathroom was also really old and cleanliness did not reflect the price point. Again, staff was absolutely amazing...
Stayed as a couple in Aug21. Great and friendly service, good breakfast (relative other Italian hotels), located in the less touristic area of Florence but still close to all. Historical building, meaning it’s not top renovated (but still good) but instead has a renaissance charm. Would stay again.
Our stay at Hotel Annalena was perfect. The rooms are spacious, clean, and in a very appreciable authentic style. The receptionist went above and beyond in the service provided. Even posting for us a package of elements we forgot in our room. I can only recommend this hotel, whether your stay be short or long.

Great location! While the elevator is a bit tiny 2 people + 2 luggage, it gets you up three stories to checkin. The staff is very friendly and the breakfast is simple, but satisfying!
Pretty Nice place, I found quietness. The hotel is very clean, great hospitality, didn’t find any problem connecting to the WiFi. I will recommend you & for sure will come back later. Thanks
Decent hotel with 24/7 front desk located in the 3 Rd floor of the building. There is a small elevator in the building. The staffs are helpful. The breakfast was ok, not great.
The room was clean, the bed was OK and the breakfast was decent. BUT the rooms were not sound isolated at all, from 6 am people were closing the door and it sounded like the door of our room was open. The bathroom was extremely extremely small and made taking a shower a horrible experience. Would not recommend.
Incredible value. I’d pay double for what you get here. The facilities are great, everything clean, comfortable beds and furnishings, and I felt very safe and welcomed. The staff and owners are all very professional hit at the same time warm and friendly. I was grateful to choose this place to rest after many days exploring the local area. I’ll be back 🙏🏻
Decent hotel for a short stay in Florence. Good value for money. Perhaps I wouldn't recommend it for a long stay due to lack of comfort and noisy location. Our two nights in Florence was elevated by our stay of 4F Boutique Hotel Florence. We were within walking distance of everything - city sites, a grocery, train station, restaurants, and shopping. Quiet street and building. Very kind and helpful staff. Comfortable rooms. Great G&Ts, yummy breakfast, and A/C!!!
Our room was beyond exceptional. Well decorated, spacious, great views, and above all scrupulously clean. That said, the whole hotel was scrupulously clean. The rooftop offers many seating areas and views over Florence. The breakfast can only be described as sumptuous. Tasteful, discrete, very cozy hotel, with well appointed rooms, and a pleasant common area for breakfast. Very courteous staff. The location is convenient, plus our room overlooked the river. Breakfast is good and simple -- as it should be. The hotel is on a quiet street due to restricted, minimal traffic (owing to a nearby building) so you get to sleep without ambulance and other city noise.

This was a hotel that I would definitely return to. The location was perfect. We had an amazing view. The breakfast was perfect. Having access to coffee and water 24/7 was a nice perk. The staff were always kind and helpful.
Excellent location, within walking distance of all historical sites. Rooms and hotel ambiance are reminiscent of Renaissance era. Breakfast variety is well prepared to fuel an energetic start to your day. Staff were knowledgeable, respectful and eager to help.
It’s a centuries-old villa that’s been converted to a hotel. It’s very reasonably priced for Florence and very convenient to major sites and museums. The breakfast is only 6 Euros and very good way to start the day. It’s a bit dated but good place for travelers looking for nice place to stay on a budget and don’t need ultra-fancy hotel. I was disappointed overall in this hotel. I read Google and other reviews and looked at photos, and had higher hopes than what the hotel provided. W O N D E R F U L Best location ever and cannot be better service. Breakfast buffet included, staff even book us the pcr for 250km from Florence. The moment they saw my wife pregnant they changed our room to a better one free of charge just to make her comfortable.
The location of the Hotel Maxim Axial is the key factor, centrally located just next to the Florence Cathedral. The hotel is quite old, entrance is just a small walkway. Check in was quick, staff is super friendly. Rooms are not too spacious but makes your stay comfortable as rooms are clean and has basic facilities.
