The location is 10-15 minutes from the train station and about the same to get in to the central parts of Florence. The service was really good and they took good measures to avoid the spread of covid-19

It was wonderful to return to this stunning hotel, ideally set on the banks of the river Arno, just a 10 minute stroll from the Ponte Vecchio. The hotel is quiet, beautiful and the epitome of 5 star

Particularly fantastic are the Concierges and the Doormen. Always attentive and extremely welcoming, accomodating. Being in Florence is always Magical and the Excelsior just makes it better! Can’t wait to get back!

We opted for a premium guest room with an Arno view, and felt it was definitely worth the extra cost. My only criticism is that the rooms lack a coffee machine, something that’s quite important to me

I wish I could give Hotel Savoy additional stars. Five star hotels across the world are not equal and our trip, which has included only five star hotels, has illustrated that point to us again

The staff of the property were each very friendly and helpful, offering ideas for restaurants and places to see, even offering to unpack and then repack our suitcases. We did not encounter one person who did not smile

My makeup was placed on a fresh linen. This shows an attention to detail which we have not experienced at our other ‘five star’ hotels’ this stay and it has made a big difference in my opinion of the hotel

Here is where the small details stood out: upon arriving back to our suite I found that each pair of my reading glasses was placed on a small cleaning cloth. Bookmarks were carefully placed in our books

1 rooms was single rooms, not very good, because of the sound from lift, but I use gadgets and for me was comfortable, clean room, not to small, I opened my 2 luggages!!!!! Another room was double room, clean, nice

It's an old palace that was converted into a commercial hotel. The service was also very good

They allowed us to leave our luggage both before and after checkout times in their luggage room for free, which was very helpful for us as we were traveling with small kids and we didn't have to haul our luggage as we went for sightseeing

And if all people in the service industry were like Signor Massimo at the reception, this world would have been a much nicer place 😊

Of course, if you want to go to the main building for breakfast and dinner, it is no problem. It takes 5 minutes to walk to the main building. If you are too lazy to walk, you can take an electric car

Really my favorite hotel even the room was small but all amenities and bed are so comfortable and usually you won’t stay too much in the room whenever I came back in Florence, the breakfast is amazing and the service is always good not to mention the location is really close to the station and all the attractions in center

There is a laundry shop right next to the hotel if you need, which is also very convenient. Plenty of dining options steps away, I would recommend the Maso, which has an extensive variety with reasonable prices

The staffs make you feel like old friends! Very passionate ! Breakfast is good with fresh squeeze fruit & vegetable juice , fresh fruits, succulent omelets, lot variety fresh made pastries , especially the croissant crema ! U can taste and see vanilla seeds in the crema! 😋

Stairs can be difficult even for a few steps taking your suitcase to the small elevator. But I liked the location and the charm and quaintness of Dedo. I would stay here again just because the staff makes it so welcoming
