Grand Hotel Baglioni, Florence1 / 50
9.0
Florence, Piazza Unità Italiana 6 🧭 Map
Lovely traditional decor throughout the hotel. The staff made a repair in our room with no issues or questions. Having such a great hotel room to return to each day was an important part of enjoying our stay in Florence
Excellent location - walking distance from the train station and most prominent attractions. Professional, friendly, English-speaking staff. Outstanding breakfast with a beautiful view (be sure to go on the terrace)
They also have a top floor restaurant which we didn’t try but looked quite sharp. The room had everything we needed and more, and the photographs inside the hotel were loaded with history and beauty
The breakfast room on the 5 th floor has fantastic views and lovely food. Staff were incredibly nice and helpful. This was one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in during my Italian holiday
This place feels special from the moment you walk in. It had a delightful terrace with some of the best views in town where you can have drinks at night and breakfast in the morning
Absolutely beautiful hotel close to the sights. Beautiful rooms with plenty of space and complimentary water, soft drink and tea/coffee plus milk sachets

He was always so kind and helpful! We truly appreciated his service each day! We utilized room service a lot too and they were excellent - from the staff who took our order to the waiters who dropped off our food, everyone verified the food was without egg even without us asking
It was wonderful to return to this stunning hotel, ideally set on the banks of the river Arno, just a 10 minute stroll from the Ponte Vecchio. The hotel is quiet, beautiful and the epitome of 5 star
We opted for a premium guest room with an Arno view, and felt it was definitely worth the extra cost. My only criticism is that the rooms lack a coffee machine, something that’s quite important to me
The gym in the basement has everything you need, and feels reasonably airy for a hotel gym. We would definitely return in the future!
The guest rooms are spacious; the pillows and linens remind me of home. The hotel is centrally located, no need for a taxi. The staff at Excelsior though is truly exceptional
Particularly fantastic are the Concierges and the Doormen. Always attentive and extremely welcoming, accomodating. Being in Florence is always Magical and the Excelsior just makes it better! Can’t wait to get back!

Rocco Forte Hotel Savoy, Florence1 / 25
9.5
Florence, Piazza Della Repubblica 7 🧭 Map
We have been to Florence before and stayed at the Four Seasons, which is also lovely but not centrally located
The central location put the Savoy, in our opinion, especially when factored with the great service and beautiful accommodation, above that other experience
The staff of the property were each very friendly and helpful, offering ideas for restaurants and places to see, even offering to unpack and then repack our suitcases. We did not encounter one person who did not smile
’ We stayed in a beautiful one bedroom suite which included a large living room, bedroom, and beautifully appointed bathroom. The high ceilings of our room were lovely and the decor of the spaces were lovely
My makeup was placed on a fresh linen. This shows an attention to detail which we have not experienced at our other ‘five star’ hotels’ this stay and it has made a big difference in my opinion of the hotel
Here is where the small details stood out: upon arriving back to our suite I found that each pair of my reading glasses was placed on a small cleaning cloth. Bookmarks were carefully placed in our books

I was also happy that they opened the breakfast area where we could eat free coffee and snacks, and I was able to enjoy cappuccino and cocoa. The pistachio croissants at breakfast were delicious and I was very satisfied
Charming, historic hotel in the heart of Florence. Easy walk to all the main attractions. Beautiful interior design with amazing views. Very nice, affordable breakfast
Hotel Paris is a gem in the heart of Florence. Housed in two historic palaces combined into one, it offers a unique atmosphere that transports you back 700 years
They allowed us to leave our luggage both before and after checkout times in their luggage room for free, which was very helpful for us as we were traveling with small kids and we didn't have to haul our luggage as we went for sightseeing
the staff is very friendly near to the duomo very good location near to the train station
I don't know if it was that but on our first night we heard a loud noise like a giant motor from around 5-7am! Noise from the streets is also very disturbing for a good night's sleep

Florence, Via della Scala 33 🧭 Map
Great location in terms of proximity to train station and historical centre. Breakfast was good and the staff who served coffee and drinks was very warm and friendly
Location is incredible; really close to SMN Centrale and great restaurants. Highly recommend! I will be staying here again if their prices don’t increase
I don’t understand why this hotel would have negative reviews. Hotel Rivoli was One of the best places I stayed in, on my Europe trip. It was a spur of the moment thing and the staff and the hotel did not disappoint
Would recommend this hotel to travellers who look for a central location and do not mind hearing some noise from pipes or guests chattering at night
Cannot find fault with this hotel. The staff are wonderful and helped with booking tickets to museums twice for us. Once for same day tickets and then to see Michelangelo’s David early the next morning
What a wonderful stay! The staff was incredibly helpful, and the breakfast was delicious, with a great variety of options. Plus, the location was perfect, making it easy to explore the area

Florence, 9 Dei Conti Street 🧭 Map
The location was fantastic—right in the center of the city, with easy access to popular sights, dining, and shopping
The reception team was very helpful, providing useful information and answering all our questions with a friendly attitude. Check-in and check-out were smooth and efficient, which made our stay even more enjoyable
Overall, this hotel offered everything we needed for a comfortable, hassle-free city stay
In the end, we stayed on the 17 Dec 2021 for two nights. On arrival we were greeted with a huge warm welcome and felt completely cared for from beginning to end
The breakfast and room service menu are limited and not worth it. The street side room was very noisy with late night revelers and pedestrian activities. We enjoyed massages at the spa
the spa jets for the foot bath only working on two, ordering a breakfast yoghurt without nuts and recieving it with 2/3 nuts and room wise: the wardrobe door not closing all the way, the mini fridge not being cold enough (personal preference of mince so do take with a grain of salt) and the shower having mild rust on the outside but other than that everything really was amazing

Florence, Via Maso Finiguerra, 9 🧭 Map
There is a laundry shop right next to the hotel if you need, which is also very convenient. Plenty of dining options steps away, I would recommend the Maso, which has an extensive variety with reasonable prices
Counter service took a little longer waiting to check-in for room readiness. Receptionist should have advised us its waiting duration and shouldn’t keep us waiting for 30 min
Conveniently located, 5 minutes away from the train station. Fairly decorated rooms with very friendly staff. I would recommend to include your breakfast, also a plus
We should had left our luggages at storage area first before starting our city tour
We enjoyed our stay at Grand Hotel Adriatico. We arrived early and was allowed to check into our room! Bonus. It was around a 12 minute easy walk from the train station which makes travel convenient
Nice hotel with helpful staff.

The St. Regis Hotel, Florence1 / 50

Florence, Piazza Ognissanti 1 🧭 Map
On the second night, it continued, and it was even worse than the first night. I don’t know if I am allergic to the detergent used in the bathroom. I asked the room attendant to flush the shower room
On the third night, it was still the same. Halfway through the shower, I started to have tears and runny nose, and I couldn’t open my eyes. Fortunately, I only stayed for three nights
I’m not sure what someone else that wrote a bad review about the breakfast was expecting but my wife and I were very pleased
Regis Venice, left us with a great impression, we thought that St. Regis Florence would be just as good, but it was not what we expected. We stayed for three nights in a row
Incredible experience and staff. We arrived early and they contacted the staff immediately and prioritized cleaning our room so we could check-in early. Breakfast was delightful and set in a beautiful room on a balcony
Regis Florence was nothing short of exceptional. The room was beautifully designed, spacious, and offered breathtaking views of the Arno River—a picture-perfect location to immerse ourselves in the beauty of Florence

Florence, Via della Scala 40 🧭 Map
Starting from the *exceptional* reception, to the attention from the staff at all points, including trying to fix some issues my mother in law had with her mobility problems. A step above and beyond, to be honest
Our stay at the Alder Cavalieri was perfect. From the location, the staff and the amenities were absolutely everything we could have wanted
Breakfast had a very wide selection of options and the coffee and pastry area on the terrace was a lovely addition to an exceptional hotel. The staff were all so pleasant and happy to help in any way they could
Staff is wonderfully helpful, rooms are clean and quiet. The included breakfast is great. There is limited parking in the basement level of the Hotel, and it is best to reserve this beforehand
You can walk anywhere in Florence from here! As other reviews have said, yes it can be noisy, however, I feel everything else about the hotel makes up for that. One of the best hotels we've stayed at thus far on our trip
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Adler Cavalieri. The entire staff is welcoming and gracious. The generous breakfast buffet gave us a nutritious quick start to our day

Florence, Via Montebello 7 🧭 Map
Stairs can be difficult even for a few steps taking your suitcase to the small elevator. But I liked the location and the charm and quaintness of Dedo. I would stay here again just because the staff makes it so welcoming
The hotel was a bit difficult to find due to it being on the 3rd floor of the building. It is about a 15 minute walk to the city center
The staff here is phenomenal! They do great service with a smile. Rooms are clean and neat in an up to date atmosphere. TV was difficult to get subtitles
Like you are visiting their home. I never felt treated like a number. Thank you for my week in Firenze and making me feel comfortable!
And the walls were thin so we could hear everyone in their rooms! We couldn’t figure out the air con (and no instructions) and the window/door that opened let in a very bad smell! The plug sockets in the room were useless (we were room 8) and only one worked
The hotel itself is in a very old building with a very susceptive lift (barely fits in two females) so the option is to go up three floors of stairs (hard with luggage)

The hotel is central and walking distance to everything. The room was spacious, clean and very charming. Loved the rooftop terrace with the bar. You have a nice view of the city from there
We just left this wonderful hotel, and I do have to say, they were an absolute gem. Centrally located in the heart of the area, it's a small walk to everywhere
This hotel is very centrally located to Florence’s main sites. The front desk and concierge were helpful at all hours of the day and the interior is very nice and clean
Since it is so close to the busiest part of the city, you do get some loud noises (Ferrari starting up, tourists yelling outside) leaking into the room, but for most part it was a very peaceful and comfortable stay
We were able to walk around every day to different restaurants, piazzas, shopping and even a close by laundromat. The staff were super friendly and helpful. It’s also really close to the train and metro station
The only small issues I had were: the bed was a little too stiff to my liking (my personal preference only and nothing to blame on their part) and the bathtub/shower was set taller than the bathroom floor

The hotel is close to the train terminal and very quiet. Porter took our bags and showed us to our room in a beautiful annex. High quality furnishings and architecture. The web site doesn’t do it justice
The beds are comfortable, and the bathroom amenities are convenient and practical. Overall, it’s a lovely place to stay in Florence. The only downside was the average breakfast
Great hotel for the price you pay. A four star hotel is a fair rating considering the quality of amenities and services. Definitely an older hotel but kept clean and tidy
Just a 5-minute walk from Firenze Santa Maria Novella station and close to the city’s main attractions, this hotel is ideally located
We had a family room (1 king + 2 singles) and it was wonderful. We were here when it was a heat wave 37C outside but the rooms were 20C very nice. The buffet in the morning was top notch
Really close proximity to the center of the city although that comes with a lot of people and noise as soon as you go out the door. The staff was friendly and listened to our requests

Hotel Tourist House
Florence, Via Della Scala 1 🧭 Map
Hotels of this style in Europe are not staffed all the time, like in the US. This one had a policy that you had to call prior if you were going to be checking in later than 8pm
Adorable, amazing location, super friendly and helpful staff. Clean, quiet, great value. Our room was super quiet and dark- able.
The Tourist house was very charming, while the furnishings were old, the price was right and the location was excellent. The bathroom was good to great
When the person came to let us in, they were very helpful and friendly, even though we didn't follow their rules and call ahead
We didn't have a phone, so we weren't able to call. Instead we had to ask a local Gelateria to use their phone
I recommend everyone to go to this hotel, the cleanliness, the punctuality of the delivery room, but, above all, to the point where it is and the price, I recommend to the owners to modernize a little bit the structure.

this hotel was truly a gem to come too! Spacious, centrally located, EXCELLENT and attentive staff, and just 10 walk from Firenze SMN station. Simply the best and I will book here again on my future trips to Florence
This truly is a 5-star hotel, exceeding expectations in every way. The property is stunningly beautiful and impeccably clean. The service was exceptional, with staff demonstrating genuine kindness
It may be worth asking about that when making a reservation. The beds are very comfortable. There is a lovely rooftop patio where you can dine and enjoy the amazing city views
The hotel's location is ideal. We celebrated my wife's 40th birthday here, and the staff went above and beyond with thoughtful surprises and gestures
The hotel retains all the splendour of the original family's palace residence, complemented by friendly staff for whom nothing was too much trouble
I stayed at this beautiful hotel in Florence two years ago, and my experience was absolutely unforgettable. Upon check-in, the receptionist, Francesco, warmly welcomed me and went above and beyond by upgrading my room

Hotel is well located in central Florence with easy access to all major attractions/areas of interest. The room was spacious with a recently renovated bathroom, which was appreciated
The hotel offered great accessibility to the city. It was near the main train station, which made traveling convenient, but not too near to the busy areas. The hotel is in a quiet street 50m away from the nearest square
Fabulous hotel in superb location. We really couldn't ask for more. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the pool was fantastic - very much needed in the hot temperatures as was the air conditioning in the bedroom
Food was great, although the menu remained constant for breakfast for our 5 days stay. Rooms are functional, artistic but not luxurious, we could not find an iron or an iron stand for example
You wouldn’t not imagine yourself staying full day in the hotel, which is nice as this invites you to explore the city. Room furniture is not super comfortable, but our room had nice terrace
Didn't get to try the outside terrace or rooftop bar due to the poor weather but looked like they would be a lovely place when the sun shines. Delicious breakfast with good choices

My wife and I stayed at this beautiful hotel for 10 days in November 2024. The Hotel is incredibly clean, the Hotel staff are friendly, dedicated, hardworking and committed to ensuring you have an excellent stay
Everyone was great, especially Nadine Ezzat of guest relations. She was a breath of fresh air and a gem of an employee. This was our second stay at this hotel and both times were exceptional
Really its staff is very well trained, looking to offer all in their hands so that you feel at home. Julio Cesar is a very professional one , as are all the people assisting him
The wait staff at the morning breakfast deserve mention for their hard-work, dedication and commitment to ensure the guests have excellent service. We had an issue with noise every morning at around 3 am
I brought it to the front desks attention and they did not hesitate providing us an upgraded suite on one of the upper floors on the opposite side of the Hotel
We really appreciated his enquiries because it speaks to the genuine care they have to ensure guests are having an excellent experience at their Hotel

Paid €149 for 2 nights in February, staff were most helpful and very efficient, rooms are of a good size and the shower always had hot water. We left early one morning so they did a takeaway breakfast for us
As for location it could not be any better, your never more than a kilometre from most attractions and less than 200 meters from the cathedral (Florence’s huge land mark)
Perfect location, less than 5 min walk from palazzo vecchio and cathedral. Great room. 25€ fees for car valet service during the stay. Very likeable reception Lady.
Breakfast was very good and lots of it, WiFi strength superb. I would recommend This hotel to anyone. Fantastic staff, fantastic value and fantastic location
A quite beautiful hotel, little hard to find, it’s just beside the Dante museum and above his church
