We also want to thank Manager Petra, whose thoughtful leadership and empathy made our experience even more special, and the tall gentleman at the concierge desk, who provided excellent recommendations and gracious assistance throughout our stay
Hallways are so wide rooms are beautiful and spacious staff is 5 star Location is perfect View is top notch I want to sincerely thank Every one of the staff for making my family feel special on our first trip to Florence
5 stars all around! from the first day I emailed the hotel about making sure both my rooms were adjoining, the staff was on the ball. even after getting my Reward upgrade they still made sure the rooms were adjoining
We walked from the train station to the hotel and the staff saw us coming down the street with luggage, they did not walk, they ran to us to help. It was an Unbelievable welcoming and it did not stop then
I celebrated my birthday at this rooftop, and it was an unforgettable experience! The staff were so kind and professional, and they even surprised us, which made the day extra special
She anticipated our needs before we even asked and handled everything with such care and compassion—it’s rare to meet someone who makes hospitality feel so personal and sincere

They offer quite a bit of amenities (we loved the robe/slippers, turn down service and laundry service). This was our favorite hotel on our 3 city Italian honeymoon :)
This was hands down my absolute favorite hotel of the entire Europe trip! It boasts a sophisticated, understated 'old money' charm
The location is superb, and for the price, staying in a hotel of this caliber felt like incredible value for money – I was extremely satisfied! It's conveniently located near both the train station and all the main attractions
The front desk staff is very friendly. Because we are on our honeymoon, they helped us upgrade to a suite. Although it is in the downtown area, the windows are three layers, so the room is very quiet
Excellent hôtel, the little balcony garden is terrific, decoration and hotel atmosphere is stunning  Highly recommended

The doctor arrived at our room within 30 minutes, and after prescription medication, I was on the mend within a couple of days! Vacation saved! Thank you, Valentina! Do not hesitate to book the Hotel Bernini Palace!
Beautiful hotel in a wonderful location. All of the staff were wonderful. They are knowledgeable, kind and professional. I often wake up early in the morning andgo downstairs, so my wife can sleep
Every morning between 4-5, the night manager would great me with a genuinely big smile and offer to make me a coffee. He’d also bring me some shortbread cookies
Excellent hotel, our room was very dark and from the entrance it smelled like sewage but it was super clean and comfortable. Alessandro the concierge was very efficient, polite and provided excellent service
Stunning hotel in the heart of Florence. Fully walkable to every major site and restaurants. Gorgeous antiques. Elegantly furnished. Impeccably clean. Comfortable beds. Absolutely recommend.
It is so nice to not have to have to leave the hotel to have a cocktail. The bed and pillows were very comfortable

An amazing hotel located in the centre of Florence overlooking a beautiful Piazza surrounded by restaurants excellent shopping and to die for sightseeing attractions
For some reason I got an upgrade to a suite which was sensational a lovely complimentary bottle of red wine together with a packet of biscotti. The rooftop pool and bar were sensational with sensational views as well
The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful throughout. The hotel is centrally located, so ideal for lots of walking to the main sights in Firenze and within a 10 minute walk from the train station
Great hotel. Our room had two floors. The kids stayed upstairs and had a great time. We stayed in the main level. The hotel staff were great to deal with. Very nice air conditioning. Comfy beds
I can't say enough great things about this hotel. First, the location is wonderful. You can walk nearly anywhere you want to go within 20 minutes, but all the major sights are no more than 10-15
Unfortunately, the room we had didn't have any view apart from some rooftops. However, we were out most of the time enjoying the food, drinks, and sights of the cobbled streets of the town

This is the best hotel we stayed in Italy, with amazing attention to details, including room facilities where you will be amazed by the set up of the bathtub, the concierge, Cosmo, who can book you any restaurant in the city and grant you VIP treatment in The Mall Firenza, the doorman’s hospitality is also amazing, plus it is in the center of of city where all the hot spots are in walking distance
The suite we booked is in Rococo style. It's very beautiful and clean. There's also a super delicious dessert shop called Iginio Massari opposite. I've been to Florence many times and this hotel is my favorite
It takes 6 minutes to walk to the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore and 15 minutes to walk to the Uffizi Gallery. It takes 5 minutes to walk to the best Hunan restaurant in Florence called "Master Ba"
Very good hotel! Convenient location, everything is thought out to the smallest detail, hotel-museum. The breakfast place is simply amazing. One of the best hotels I've visited.
If there is only one flaw, it may be that the breakfast is not very suitable for our taste, but this is not important. You can choose to go out for breakfast in a coffee shop
During this trip to Italy, this hotel in Florence is the most satisfactory. It has high cost performance, good service and environment, and beautiful and large rooms

Liked everything but the arrival parking to check in, only have 3 spots and not enough help to park cars to let more people check in, street is busy at night and frustrating because you can't park and you feel someone will hit your car because your doubled parked
This property is simply gorgeous. The location across from The Arno in the front to the views of Santa Croce and The Duomo in the rear is magical
Excellent hotel and friendly staff. Concierge was very helpful! The only disappointment was that the roof top patio was closed for maintenance while we were there and that was one of the reasons we chose this hotel
25th Anniversary in Florence Exceeded expectations for a special stay for our 25th wedding anniversary. Beautiful hotel. Clean and well kept. Staff were very friendly, helpful, and available. Highly recommend.
I reserved a single room because I was traveling solo to visit my son while he was studying abroad, and she was so perfect. The room was tiny but mighty, and I had everything I needed and more
Starting with the always kind and always smiling Lucca welcoming you outside, he treats you as though you’re a long lost friend finding your way back home

Florence, Via Nazionale 21/23 R 🧭 Map
Stayed at Mercure Firenze Centro for two weeks. Perfect location as it is located 5 minutes away from Santa Maria Novella Train Station. Closed to nearby attractions by walking distance
It is in a very nice location, just few minutes from the central station, and nearby a supermarket
With a busy itinerary daily, my priorities for a room were a large bed, quietness, no strange smells, a convenient shower, and the ability to wash small items (like shorts and socks). This room largely fit the bill
The downsides were the weak shower pressure and a sink that wasn't practical for washing my son's socks. On the bright side, there was a water dispenser and a coffee machine for unlimited drinks
The room space might be a bit small, however i got a room with balcony at 6th floor. I enjoyed my stay here and not hesitate for a return in future
Great place with great service, within 20 minutes walk you can achieve to most of ‘must go’ site seeing points. Highly recommend!!

Recent stay in October 2025 was EXCELLENT. Wonderful hotel in an incredible area. The staff was extremely professional, helpful, and made the few days we stayed there special. Recommend the breakfast too, 10/10
Overall I would 100% come back to this hotel and recommend it to anyone traveling to Florence. It was the perfect home base to explore the city and surrounding countryside
The bed was probably the best one I've ever slept on when away from home, and the location is very central
Our room opened right over looking the river and Ponte Vecchio. You won’t regret staying here!
If you do choose to stay here, be very diligent to store ALL of your valuables in the safe to give yourself more peace of mind. EDIT: I am adding an edit to respond to the hotel's comment

Amazing service and very accommodating. Located is a very central spot, tons of things to do that are all walking distance. Breakfast was excellent as well
Lovely boutique hotel that's also incorporates an art gallery, mostly Andy Warhol prints. Excellent location for the touristy stuff, but not overcrowded with tourists.
The location is very convenient, within walking distance to any major attractions. The room facilities are great and the service is very good. Recommended~
The hotel is in a good location, right next to the old bridge; there are security staff at the door, so it's safe; the hotel is stylishly decorated inside and outside, and the rooms are nice
This hotel was one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed at. The service and attention to detail was beyond exceptional. The staff is professional and ready to help at any moment

It’s the kind of quality that makes mornings special. The amenities are exceptional. The gym is fully equipped with weight racks, bench press, free weights, barbells, and various machines, which is rare for hotels
They really went above and beyond trying to accommodate our room preferences and ended up upgrading us. The breakfast is outstanding with delicious fresh breads, jams, and everything else on the menu
Hotel Firenze Number Nine is a true 5-star gem in the heart of Florence. It’s just a 7-minute walk to the Duomo and about 15 minutes to Palazzo Vecchio, the Uffizi, and Accademia
The location is surrounded by excellent local restaurants away from the typical tourist traps. The hotel is immaculate and the staff is incredibly warm and helpful
The Central Station is less than 10 minutes away, and getting around to all the tourist sites is super convenient
It's a bit different from how it used to be, but the staff are friendly and the rooms are well-cleaned. The absolute best part? The Duomo is just a 5-minute walk away, haha! Other spots are also easily accessible

Of note; we did not eat in the restaurant downstairs, but the other reviewers are right - di not miss the breakfast here. Everything was outstanding, and it was the perfect start to every morning for all four of us
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the St. Regis Florence, and our experience started off perfectly — thanks to Rosella. From the minute we checked in, she greeted us with warmth and professionalism
One of the Most Beautiful Hotels in the world… delicious cuisine, stunning decor, Best location in Florence and Royal Service by a Kind Caring Loving, Respectful Staff like Pieta who created the Ultimate manager in the world and Luca at the front door who went far and beyond sweet by taking such good care of us
While so many other people treated with such kindness, house keeping, room service and all the bellman and doormen… it was hard to leave. So many gathered to say goodbye and it touched our Heart
Throughout our stay she treated us exceptionally well, always going above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for. Her kindness and attentiveness made our visit truly memorable

The rooms are a bit small but very cozy! Great Breakfast! Almost in the center of town and opposite the station.
Great hotel, I'd recommend it! Our flight got cancelled, and the hotel was very responsive and checked us in smoothly when we finally did arrive. Room was clean and a decent size (very tall walls) and we had a balcony
This establishment stands out as one of the finest hotels I have ever booked, and it is unequivocally my top choice in Florence
They held our luggage for about 5 hours before check-in so we could tour Florence without carrying our luggage around. The room was great! The A/C worked extremely well
Towels, hair dryer, body wash etc were all good. Space to hang clothes and leave our luggage case
if you come from the airport and take the direct tram it drops you in front of the hotel, next day i was able to take the train without dragging my luggages across town. the historic center is only a few street away

The decor gives a unique feel to every corner of the structure, including the charming roof terrace with its views over the Florentine rooftops. I hope to get the chance to visit again soon!
Good environment Good restaurant, decent breakfast with a variety of options Luggage storage available Four-star hotel Luxury and unique old-fashioned Italian style decor Room upgrade provided, but something seemed off.
My room was comfortable and cosy, and although it looked onto the road and was on the first floor it wasn’t noisy at all and I slept very well. The hotel was impeccably clean throughout
Super, super satisfied! 👍 The breakfast is a visual feast. Having breakfast every day is such a wonderful way to start the day. The decor is also quite new and very stylish
I particularly liked the way the character of the building has remained intact with a number of small, intimate lounges instead of one large impersonal one
Ask a waiter for espresso or cappuccino. Some problems with cold water in the bathroom. Air conditioner didn't work, just moved air flow. So not the best choice for hot weather seasons

Location is okay, but need 15-20 mins walk to the attractions. However, it is near to train station, abt 5 mins walk. Room is clean, everything is good.
It's quite good Many restaurants around And self service laundry
There is a laundry shop right next to the hotel if you need, which is also very convenient. Plenty of dining options steps away, I would recommend the Maso, which has an extensive variety with reasonable prices
Overall, it's not a terrible experience. However, the rooms are very dated, and the service is definitely not up to a 4* standard. The area is a little dodgy but is in walking distance of the town centre
Good location. Love the spacious comfort room . Room had 1 double bed and 2 single beds. Very spacious toilet . Generous toiletries. Breakfast served from 7am. Friendly hotel staff. Highly recommend
The hotel is very well located: literally 5 minutes walk from the station, but in a quiet place. Breakfast is rather weak for a hotel of this class, everything else corresponds to 4 stars

Hotel de la Ville truly lives up to its reputation. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm and attentive. The interior is beautifully designed, elegant, with a touch of classic Roman charm
Our room was spacious, quiet, and had a lovely view over the rooftops. The location is unbeatable, just steps away from the Spanish Steps, yet it still feels tucked away and peaceful
It’s definitely a splurge, but worth it for a special stay in Rome
Le strutture dell’hotel sono però un po’ datate. Una cosa mi ha fatto arrabbiare: quando ho lasciato i bagagli in deposito, hanno attaccato adesivi a caso sul manico della mia valigia!
Four stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐ The hotel has an excellent location, very convenient and close to everything. The rooms are good and comfortable, and the service is also good

Hotel location is good, only 12 minutes from train station and within walking distance to other main sites. It is a super clean boutique hotel with a small garden inside which highlights it's attractiveness
There are brochures introducing the history and attractions of Florence. The front desk also provides tourist maps. There is free afternoon tea in the afternoon. The overall experience is very good
The disadvantage is that the rooms facing the street can hear the sound of cars outside at night, which feels a bit noisy. In addition, the height of the pillow is a bit awkward for me
The hotel is not far from the train station and various attractions. I didn't take public transportation for two days. The room is quite large and the area is well divided
Staff were very friendly and helpful. We needed to leave the hotel early for day tour and asked for two breakfast bags to be ready early morning
When we approached the reception at 6:45 am, the breakfast bags were ready for picked up and they also provided us with hot coffee in paper cups. I'll definite trily stay at this hotel for our next trip

Great location and very friendly and attentive front desk staff. Only about a 7 minute walk from the train station. The restaurant was INCREDIBLE. We had dinner there one night and the chef came out to meet us
When I raised this with the hotel, I was told I hadn’t booked a “Premium room with view. ” At the time of booking, my only options were: a cheaper “Deluxe,” a more expensive “Premium,” and a “Suite
After persistent requests, I was offered a second-floor room in another building without an elevator. That room had a larger bathroom but a smaller bedroom, and the window opened directly onto exhaust vents
While staff were polite in manner, the room assignment and photo discrepancy felt misleading, and there was no practical solution offered despite the hotel being aware of the issue
The stated size range for the Premium room is 18–23 m², so this didn’t resolve the core issue—the lack of the view shown in the photos

Very retro hotel, located in the center of Florence, 10 minutes walk from Santa Maria Novella train station, behind the hotel is the luxury shopping area, various attractions are interspersed in it, you can go shopping, you can't stop at all
The hotel soundproofing is slightly worse, but the electric curtains are absolutely light-proof. Stayed for 2 nights, the breakfast is very rich and Italian, and the breakfast in the morning is basically European guests
I am very worried that the sheets will run away when I turn over in sleep, and I will sleep directly on the quilt. After all, the quilt will not be changed every day, which is a bit uncomfortable
The hotel has been opened in 1958 and should be very popular with Europeans. The only thing I am not used to is that Italian quilts do not use quilt covers, but use sheets directly
The family room is particularly cost-effective, one door into the 2 rooms can accommodate 5 people, each room has a separate bathroom, clean and hygienic without dead corners
Hotel was clean and the situation is very good. we liked it. hope to stay again.
