The guest rooms are spacious; the pillows and linens remind me of home. The hotel is centrally located, no need for a taxi. The staff at Excelsior though is truly exceptional. Service was outstanding…staff was very kind, concierge team were TOP….but the property doesn’t merit the cost. We got an upgrade, but when you cannot sleep, size of the room doesn’t really matter… Mattress is not “five star” (but the rates are), the noise outside means you take an afternoon nap and the AC cannot cool the room on a hot summer day.
