Where to stay in Genoa

I was for 3 night and i can tell thet it wasnt a good experience. I give 3 stars only for the location but for the other things i wasnt not happy. The room are in old aredacion and there was a smell of old things. The lifts didn't work all the time and you must to past at dhe workers lifts. The wifi didn't work all the time. The breakfast was very poor and the room wast clean . This hotel was 4 star...

I spent a night here and I appreciated the cleanliness and space of the rooms, great location near the airport but in particularly I enjoyed the efficiency and kindness of the personnel! The director is amazing and the staff, managed to arrange a dinner for 150 people in few minutes! Congratulations.

The gentleman at the front desk had to move me three times to get a room with a working air conditioner during the June heat wave across Europe. This meant managing three luggage on my own. Very basic hotel, just for those who are looking for a sleep. Only 2 elevators for this high building hotel and the day that I was there the one of the elevators were broken. Very friendly reception staff. They speak French, which is very convenient. The breakfast buffet has a lot of choices. The service is efficient and clean. The only downside is that the sheets aren't changed every day... there's just a room cleaning without changing the sheets. Good stay. Close to the city. I recommend it.

This Hotel was , without a doubt, in top 1% of places I’ve stayed. The service is amazing, the room is beautiful and well appointed and the free continental breakfast was the best I’ve ever had. We are staying two nights before leaving on a Transatlantic cruise.

We love it so much! We have chosen to stay here before and after the cruise because it is so close to the cruise terminal. The service from the staff was great, they helped with a rental car and taxis and were very pleasant. The lobby area is inviting and the President Suite was large. We were very happy with our selection of hotel. This hotel is located right next to the main train station and at walking distance to the city center. The room was very comfortable and very clean. The breakfast was delicious!!! Staff spoke English well and were very friendly and accommodating. We highly recommend this hotel to friends and family

We really enjoyed our one night stay! The bed was comfortable and we stayed in a corner room, which had two windows that opened up to a nice view. It made for a lovely breeze through the room. The shower was wonderful and the hotel is located in a convenient, very walkable area. Would recommend!

Not recommended. I stayed in a room on the second floor. The next day, I found a lot of ants on the floor. I reported it to the hotel and they said they would deal with it. When I went back at night, I found more ants on the windowsill... Although I was given a new room, the room was smaller... And the mattress was uncomfortable and had a pit. I was sore all over after sleeping for two nights.

The NH Hotel was amazing. Very clean, everything seems to be new. Hotel is also close to city center. Service was excellent. It was my weekend birthday trip and I got surprise in my room - sparkling wine and snacks. I recommend this hotel!

My wife and I stayed here on our honeymoon trip through Europe. It is a lovely hotel, with excellent service. Clean & tidy and it is within walking distance of the main parts of town.

The location of the hotel is great. The breakfast is a 2/5. The room is very tiny and very hot. Also the bathroom is quiet old. For around 80-90€ a night it’s maximum but definitely not more. I also would not recommend staying more then one night.

There is a small supermarket downstairs, open until 10 o'clock, which is convenient for shopping. This is very good. The highway is very close, which causes the problem of vehicle noise at night. It's halfway up the mountain in Genoa, a little far from the attractions, about a 20-minute walk. There's nothing fun in Genoa, so it's suitable to rent a car and drive from the beach. The town next to it is quite pleasant.

The hotel’s location was in a more residential area so was quieter than other hotels in the city centre. It took only about 10mins walking to get to the historic city centre though. Hotel room was very spacious and clean. We didn’t eat at the hotel so can’t comment on the food. There’re a few eateries and bars close by as well as a convenience store. Very beautiful, convenient transportation, good service. But the laundry service is not good. I sent a piece of chocolate to be washed, and it was returned to me as if it was not washed at all. Parking is difficult. The front desk asked you to park nearby, and I got a ticket for two days.

Excellent hotel with very friendly reception and very clean rooms. It was cold when we arrived but inside the hotel the temperature was ideal, the room was so pleasant that we didn't even need to turn on the heating but I believe that those who are cold would be very warm. The location is so bad. For those traveling many cities in Europe and just stopping by Genoa, I would not recommend here. It’s too far from city center or station and very inconvenient to reach. Hotel amenities are so limited considering the is Mercure. While this may not be this hotel problem, but workers in cafeteria are discriminating against Asians. It might be common in Europe.

A bit of the walk from the train station, if you have an early flight I would suggest taking a taxi but if your flight is during the day and you have time definitely not a bad walk to the airport maybe 15/20 min walk. I really enjoyed my stay. The design of the lobby and room was beautiful, and my room was very spacious — especially the bathroom with the walk-in shower. Good stay overall. Very close to the train station. There was a free pasta night in the guest kitchen and beer pong in the bar downstairs. I was there on a Friday night and the music did continue until late and we could hear it in the room but not to the point where we couldn’t sleep. Hostel is fine. Nice staff generally, fun social events and cheap drinks. Clean rooms too. Genova is not a pleasant town to stay in. Didn’t feel safe even in the streets near the hostel.

I really like the hotel, its so comfy however in the description it says Luggage storage, we are expecting to leave our suitcases since we have the plane in the afternoon. You should put that the Luggage storage comes with charges. You need to book from an app to  leave your suitcases.

Decent hostel and VERY clean! It's right across from the train station (and the bus from the airport cost €10!) Good restaurants nearby. They were kind and stored my meds in their kitchen fridge. Checked in early - that's a big plus. It's a minute's walk from the train station. There's a supermarket right downstairs. The downside is the small bed in the room. It was uncomfortable to sleep. And the hotel was undergoing renovation. There were drilling sounds from 7am. That's awful.

I've stayed in many hotels in Italy, but the Astoria is hands-down the best! The rooms are well-organized, fully equipped, and clean.
