I was for 3 night and i can tell thet it wasnt a good experience. I give 3 stars only for the location but for the other things i wasnt not happy. The room are in old aredacion and there was a smell of old things. The lifts didn't work all the time and you must to past at dhe workers lifts. The wifi didn't work all the time. The breakfast was very poor and the room wast clean . This hotel was 4 star...
Great! Easy to find, super clean and quiet, great breakfast, and great gym!!!
Poor pillows. No water. No coffee cartels or boilers.
We booked this hotel through booking, just for a night. The area of the hotel is good IF you have a flight to catch up very early. Because it's very close to the airport. The hotel is not modernized, it's not updated. When I read some reviews they said it's not clean but we found out ours is clean, the bathroom is spacious , the bed is comfortable but it's outdated. The bad thing is the fridge is...
I spent a night here and I appreciated the cleanliness and space of the rooms, great location near the airport but in particularly I enjoyed the efficiency and kindness of the personnel! The director is amazing and the staff, managed to arrange a dinner for 150 people in few minutes! Congratulations.
The gentleman at the front desk had to move me three times to get a room with a working air conditioner during the June heat wave across Europe. This meant managing three luggage on my own. Then, a plumber had to called to fix the non-working toilet. Finally, the dinner (Caesar’s Salad) at the restaurant was sadly unlike ANY such salad I’ve eaten in my 71 years.YUCK! The large window was broken and...

Rooms are great, service at reception was great. Unfortunately not enough staff, plates or food to cater at breakfast for the huge number of guests in August. Not walking distance from the Centre
Very basic hotel, just for those who are looking for a sleep. Only 2 elevators for this high building hotel and the day that I was there the one of the elevators were broken. I had to wait minimum 10 minutes to be able to use it. They didn't provide iron and board in the rooms their is a common one next to the reception. I'm a business traveller and this is important to me. I had to wait again for...

Very friendly reception staff. They speak French, which is very convenient. The breakfast buffet has a lot of choices. The service is efficient and clean. The only downside is that the sheets aren't changed every day... there's just a room cleaning without changing the sheets. Good stay. Close to the city. I recommend it.
Dear Novotel Genova City,
As a employee in Accor Hotels, I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the entire team at Novotel Genova City. The reception staff, restaurant team, and management were incredibly kind, professional, and welcoming throughout my stay.
Your warm hospitality and excellent service truly made my experience memorable. Thank you for going above and beyond to ensure everything...
Always very comfortable. Professional and overly kind staff and you feel immediately "homey". Rooms spotless, functional with "sweet dreams" beds and plenty of pillows. Never fail !!

This Hotel was , without a doubt, in top 1% of places I’ve stayed. The service is amazing, the room is beautiful and well appointed and the free continental breakfast was the best I’ve ever had. We are staying two nights before leaving on a Transatlantic cruise.
We love it so much! We have chosen to stay here before and after the cruise because it is so close to the cruise terminal.
Everything is so elegant, staff very amabile, rooms, the last floor terrace, bed so comfortable!
We definitely want to come back and stay again here and spend more time in Genova which is so beautiful. ⭐️😍👏
The service from the staff was great, they helped with a rental car and taxis and were very pleasant. The lobby area is inviting and the President Suite was large. The mattress is old with big dips in it, very bad for my back. There are mechanical shutters on all windows which is nice for keeping it dark in the morning. The restaurant is just above the room and they were moving tables and chairs...
The good, the bad, and the ugly.
Set your expectations - this hotel is definitely NOT 5-star.
The service at reception is nonexistent. I.e no help with bags to the room, no greetings upon leaving or returning, no explanation of any hotel information, no apology for the broken spa, and no question about our stay once checking out. Pretty much felt invisible the whole stay.
The rooms are rundown...
Everything is in accordance with Europe. It is surprising that there is no shoe horn, as well as shoe care products
Right next to the train station, perfect breakfast and walking distance to everything

Michele is excellent at the reception. Hotel in great location and close to amenities and famous attractions.
Great location nice hotel with friendly and helpful staff good quality fresh breakfast buffet
Rooms are nice and pretty good size
I stayed at the Best Western Porto Antico for one night in September 2024. I only stayed at the hotel for about 7 - 8 hours (for a night of sleep) so my experience was limited. I checked in after 11 P.M. and checked out between 6 & 7 A.M.
Compared to the other 2 Best Western and 1 Marriott hotels that I stayed at Genova, the Porto Antico was average (3 stars).
The room was better than the Metropoli...
Beautiful Hotel and the friendliest staff I have met in all Northern Italy!
Michele at the front desk was Amazing!
Highly recommended!

Small but lovely clean rooms, with clean towels and sheets, good water pressure. Some pieces of furniture could be easily removed for creating more space 😅
The staff is helpful, we had a tasty breakfast, it was a good one night stop for us.
The city is another story, we had a long walk to the center and discovered a dirty and maybe a dangerous Genoa😳
Good hotel, right next to the main station of Genova. The building looks historic and the elevator was very unique - really loved it. The rooms were spacious, clean and had a decent view!
Breakfast had decent choices and were filling.
Staff were friendly, and told us the places to go in Genoa!
Location-wise, there are plenty of little bars and restaurants around. The only missing thing was a supermarket...
A VERY DECENT HOTEL. Clean, kind staff. I had the executive room. Good price. AND VERY GOOD COFFEE.
CONS: THE LOBBY CLOSES AT 23.00 AND YOU MUST ENTER THROUGH THE SISTER HOTEL.
THE ELEVATOR GETS STUCK BECAUSE OF DUMB GUESTS!!!!!!!!!!! NOTHING IS WORSE THAN CLIMBING 4 FLIGHTS OF STAIRS AT MIDNIGHT CAUSE SOMEONE FORGOT TO CLOSE THE DOOR OF THE “ANTIQUE” ELEVATOR
We were very happy with our selection of hotel. This hotel is located right next to the main train station and at walking distance to the city center. The room was very comfortable and very clean. The breakfast was delicious!!! Staff spoke English well and were very friendly and accommodating. We highly recommend this hotel to friends and family
We really enjoyed our one night stay! The bed was comfortable and we stayed in a corner room, which had two windows that opened up to a nice view. It made for a lovely breeze through the room. The shower was wonderful and the hotel is located in a convenient, very walkable area. Would recommend!
Not recommended. I stayed in a room on the second floor. The next day, I found a lot of ants on the floor. I reported it to the hotel and they said they would deal with it. When I went back at night, I found more ants on the windowsill... Although I was given a new room, the room was smaller... And the mattress was uncomfortable and had a pit. I was sore all over after sleeping for two nights.

Very nice old hotel. For the price though we were expecting much more.
The hotel is stunning, renovated from an old palace; it's straight out of a James Bond movie. The rooms are large, comfortable, and clean. The restaurant is Michelin-starred, and the food and service are truly excellent. It's very popular, so reservations are generally required, and guests staying at the hotel are given priority. The hotel offers valet parking, which can be reserved by phone or email...
The hotel is located in the heart of Genoa. It is very simple and elegant. Valet parking is very convenient. The breakfast is rich, especially the drinks. The hotel's staircase is very beautiful. The room facilities are also very complete, although the bathroom is a little small.
Good location and clean rooms. Overall a pleasant stay experience!
The hotel is in a prime location and is very convenient for walking to attractions. The hotel lobby has a very beautiful spiral staircase and is equipped with an elevator. The service is very good, the breakfast is rich, and it is Michelin in 2018. The room is spacious and bright, with a reasonable layout and complete functions.
The hotel is in a good location, on the main street, but it does not have its own parking lot. It is not convenient to park at the gate. You need to park in the independent parking garage at the back, which costs about 10 euros a night. We stayed for a short time, but the room was very good and we slept well. I would like to praise the breakfast, which is very rich in Europe, with a full range of varieties...

Great hotel with good breakfasts. Location is not bad)
Nice hotel, not bad choice, near the parking garage, and nice place
Good location and nice place to stay
My wife and I stayed here on our honeymoon trip through Europe. It is a lovely hotel, with excellent service. Clean & tidy and it is within walking distance of the main parts of town.
The location of the hotel is great. The breakfast is a 2/5. The room is very tiny and very hot. Also the bathroom is quiet old. For around 80-90€ a night it’s maximum but definitely not more. I also would not recommend staying more then one night.

Excellent hotel, good breakfast, room cleaning is very bad, there is a lot of dirt on the floor, my feet turned black, it is better not to go out onto the balcony at all.
Arrived with my handicap husband to the hotel. The door man just looks at me taking all off from the car. I bring the cart to take the luggGe and bring it inside - still he looks at me - no help what so ever even when the reception saw me - still no help

Always stay here for business and it has been my 3rd time.
Staff were nice and room was great.
There’s not much restaurants nearby so need a car to go somewhere
A nice hotel with very professional and nice customer service! All the receptionists (especially Alessandro) were so helpful, smiling and welcoming.
The breakfast was full of choices plus some Genoese flavours. Also the breakfast time were very nice, polite and kind! Greetings to Barbara and all other member of team.
The hotel is good rooms are but so big, ok view toward the city. Staff were very good and helpful especially Carlos he was so helpful and kind. Aminities were ok relatively not bad. Breakfast was ok, not the best but do the need.
Although i did not find much difficulties to find a parking, the availability was limited and i beleive it will be hard to park during the rush time. It was close to the city...
There is a small supermarket downstairs, open until 10 o'clock, which is convenient for shopping. This is very good. The highway is very close, which causes the problem of vehicle noise at night. The hotel should provide free earplugs. But we can't ask them by Chinese standards, after all, their four-star rooms are at the level of home. Fortunately, there are free parking spaces around, just uphill...
Upon my arrival at the AC Genova Marriott, the front desk was extremely helpful, especially Laroslav.
I don't speak nary a word of Italian unfortunately. That didn't stop Laroslav from getting out a map and showing me the highlights of Genova, or the path to the beach from the hotel.

Wonderful hotel, I really liked the spa area, it’s gorgeous.
Passing by, overall it's ok, affordable five stars.
It's halfway up the mountain in Genoa, a little far from the attractions, about a 20-minute walk. There's nothing fun in Genoa, so it's suitable to rent a car and drive from the beach. The town next to it is quite pleasant.
The hotel’s location was in a more residential area so was quieter than other hotels in the city centre. It took only about 10mins walking to get to the historic city centre
though. Hotel room was very spacious and clean. We didn’t eat at the hotel so can’t comment on the food. There’re a few eateries and bars close by as well as a convenience store. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful...
Thanks for the welcome, shame about the awful view
Very beautiful, convenient transportation, good service. But the laundry service is not good. I sent a piece of chocolate to be washed, and it was returned to me as if it was not washed at all. Parking is difficult. The front desk asked you to park nearby, and I got a ticket for two days.

Very charming and cozy hotel, they have all what u need and the staff are very welcoming. The food is great and the rooms are just enough and nice. I recommend it.
This hotel was in a great location, everything was very nice, clean, staff was attentive and professional. The breakfast was amazing. I’m so glad I opted in for it. The options were tasty, fresh, and there were many healthy options. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.
Stayed there as usual, breakfast was good. Convenient location. Very close to the fountain, many restaurants around. The room was quite clean, it would be better to choose a higher floor.
Our stay was really short. The air-condition wasn't working and we discovered it at the end of the day when it was time for a sleep. We didn't inform the reception
We had a great stay. The hotel is located in a quiet side street and within walking distance from most major attractions. An abundance of restaurants in the vicinity, from simple fare to fine dining.

Thanks to Mercure Genoa. You made me see the beauty of this world. I’ll definitely come back again.
Excellent hotel with very friendly reception and very clean rooms. It was cold when we arrived but inside the hotel the temperature was ideal, the room was so pleasant that we didn't even need to turn on the heating but I believe that those who are cold would be very warm. We really liked it and would definitely stay there again 👍
Great quality price value, we had prestige room, good amenities and quick check in/out. Parking is great just near the elevators, location great near highway
The location is so bad. For those traveling many cities in Europe and just stopping by Genoa, I would not recommend here. It’s too far from city center or station and very inconvenient to reach.
Hotel amenities are so limited considering the is Mercure.
While this may not be this hotel problem, but workers in cafeteria are discriminating against Asians. It might be common in Europe.

A bit of the walk from the train station, if you have an early flight I would suggest taking a taxi but if your flight is during the day and you have time definitely not a bad walk to the airport maybe 15/20 min walk. I really enjoyed my stay. The design of the lobby and room was beautiful, and my room was very spacious — especially the bathroom with the walk-in shower. Everything was exceptionally clean, and I appreciated the many power outlets and the daily bottled water.
Overall, everything was great. My only suggestion would be to add disposable slippers. The synthetic flooring tends to squeak when walking...
The appearance of the hotel was very good. The reception area was very clean and quiet. Each floor had an automatic air freshener which meant that the hotel smelt very good. The hotel room had a lovely big bed which was very comfortable. There was a fridge and kettle in the room.

We stayed there just to get some night rest before our early flight. So, we didn't use any of their services besides sleeping and showering. I stayed for one night in a female dorm and it wasn't the best hostel experience that I have had in Europe. To begin with I had to change my assigned dorm because: a) the staff erroneously had a man check in to the dorm b) my assigned bed had no safety railing.

Good stay overall. Very close to the train station. There was a free pasta night in the guest kitchen and beer pong in the bar downstairs. I was there on a Friday night and the music did continue until late and we could hear it in the room but not to the point where we couldn’t sleep. The beds were hard (typical Italian mattress) and the bed was a bit squeaky but overall okay. Luggage storage costs...
Hostel is fine. Nice staff generally, fun social events and cheap drinks. Clean rooms too.
Genova is not a pleasant town to stay in. Didn’t feel safe even in the streets near the hostel.
I really like the hotel, its so comfy however in the description it says Luggage storage, we are expecting to leave our suitcases since we have the plane in the afternoon. You should put that the Luggage storage comes with charges. You need to book from an app to leave your suitcases.
Decent hostel and VERY clean! It's right across from the train station (and the bus from the airport cost €10!) Good restaurants nearby.
They were kind and stored my meds in their kitchen fridge.
The bed was quite hard which was the only drawback. They have a lift, so that's nice w suitcases. There's free water and you get a few drink ticket. Towels cost €2. Breakfast was a good deal for the price...

Excellent location, very clean. Helpful staff
The hotel is pretty good, old style, the location is also very good, opposite the train station, but not noisy, next to the commercial pedestrian street, 10 minutes walk to the famous square, only one thing, if you drive, don't stay here, the hotel parking space is limited, the parking lot opposite is the only pitfall of this trip to the Mediterranean coast, and several hotel service staff do not understand
The hotel is an old style but good hotel. Clean and staff kind. High value
Checked in early - that's a big plus. It's a minute's walk from the train station. There's a supermarket right downstairs. The downside is the small bed in the room. It was uncomfortable to sleep. And the hotel was undergoing renovation. There were drilling sounds from 7am. That's awful.
