Reviews
This was honestly the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had, and I regret booking it. We were a group of 9 people, and 5 of them literally left on the first day because it was that bad. I should’ve done the same, but I had already unpacked all my bags.
The AC never worked. From the first night it was blowing hot air, and when I complained they said it was “fixed,” but it wasn’t. I asked for a fan and they told me AC in Italy doesn’t get cold like in America, which is complete nonsense. My mom was staying at a hotel right next door with freezing cold AC. And the worst part? I saw two fans in reception, one pointed at the receptionist, but they wouldn’t give me one.
The staff are rude and unhelpful. They act like guests are the problem and don’t care about fixing anything. And the hotel literally stops functioning after 9pm , no one works, no one helps you, you’re just on your own. What kind of hotel does that?
The food was terrible. Breakfast was bad, and dinner was so disgusting the first night that I never ate there again, even though I had already prepaid for meals. Total waste of money.
On top of all that, the place is just old and falling apart. Outdated rooms, useless AC, broken equipment , everything about it feels neglected.
Honestly, this was the worst choice I’ve ever made when booking a hotel. They don’t care about guests, they don’t care about the property, and the attitude from the staff is awful. (Not all of them)
Booking prices were lower than what they wanted to offer me for 4 nights which I requested & called for a sea view room…taught I paid a descent price but the room they gave me was room no;301 which does NOT have a sea view unfortunately they have trees covering the whole view so I don’t recommend it at all also the indoor unoccupied garden is not taken care of…the television was very small ( size of a purse) the alarm system on top of the bed was covered with paper towel or wtv it was …I asked to change room after my first night for the fact that I had paid and requested sea view and she told me that they sale the room as sea view which I definitely don’t think it’s right to do so and in other words It’s not ok to respond to me saying that , when I’m the customer and I have the view in front of my eyes!!! I would have personally had offered a price rate way lower for it!! Anyways and thankfully I was changed room after a couple of hours from my request and moved to the top floor where I got to enjoy my sea view for 3 nights… the cleaning ladies were very nice and helped me out with my move , unfortunately tho on my first night in the new room I found stained towels and 2 lights not working, I laterally had to run down with the towel and ask the receptionist to change it … not that she apologized, she looked like she did me a favor! The morning after I gave back the second stained towel (with a hair ) to the cleaning lady and had her change it …I also requested a parking spot they told me the was one for me , I arrived there with 4 cars parked which I was told 2 were the owners and didn’t move, the day of I scratched my car because the was outsiders who had their car inside the parking and I had to move, the day after also I was blocked in the parking because they have an esthetic salon downstairs the hotel and the clients would come and go…also to complete the convo the gate wouldn’t get close at night so anyone can just come in and out …very disappointed! I feel bad even saying it because the staff was so nice but being a traveler who spends money and enjoy trying new places also who prefers doing directly with the hotel to make them not lose commission on websites, I will never be able to go back, Breakfast had a very few things, they don’t have a kitchen in the hotel so scrambled eggs were not made, they offered very few salty choices 2 types of cold cuts which are laid on a non refrigerated plate and definitely not fresh, the boiled eggs were always cold… only good thing was I cornetti…the lady in the morning was kind and patient, I am not an easy client to deal with but for what your paying it was definitely not worth it.
You can’t compare it to any other 4 stars on the island I do not understand how they have the ability to call it 4 stars … their beach isn’t attached to the hotel so you need to cross the street walk go down the stairs once you get there the view is beautiful and the space is good but they also have other clients who don’t come from the hotel, I don’t think it’s a negative thing but more explanation before booking was ideal, I requested an extra night upon my arrival and they told me they were full, I hurd a receptionist selling the night I requested over the fone and so the day before my departure they offered it me and asked for 180€ for the night and would of had to change room… I declined the offered and found myself going to a real 4 stars hotel across the street. If you can afford and want a perfect vacation I recommend the Madonnina hotel across the street you will be paying more but all services and amenities make it the price. The strutture is a whole other level, real 4 stars.
Anna at front desk is very professional and accommodating to every needs.
Thank you anyway for the gifts you gave us when we left, you and your team are great, we will come back with pleasure.
