Hotel Bracciotti in Lido Di Camaiore

Our room was modern and sea view. It was spacious and had lots of wardrobe space.
There is a small swimming pool on the roof,and deck chairs to sunbathe. The view from there is great, sea at the front and mountains at the back.
Breakfast was so so, mainly continental. Not a great variaty, and the food is served by the waiters, which we found weird, it looks like they are controlling the amount of food you have.
We spent a lot of money to stay in a sea view room at this 3 stars Hotel. It feels like we have paid a premium for the room, the rest was just OK.

Just returned from a 6 night stay at the Bracciotti which we booked to celebrate my upcoming 70th birthday and to tour the 5 towns of Cinqe Terre. Our stay here was rather mixed some good and some not so good, I researched the area and as we wanted to visit Cinqe Terre early mornings by train from nearby Viaraggio and then get back to relax by the rooftop pool in the afternoons, unfortunately the rooftop pool had no parasols to shade and being very hot we could not really stay there for long. The rooms do not have tea&coffee facilities and a couple of the mornings we were leaving at 7 am to get a early train and as breakfast did not open until 8am we asked reception if we could get a hot drink at 6.30 am and we were told not possible as no staff are available. Breakfast itself was continental and was served to you in a small corner of the dining room and you couldn’t even pour your own fruit juice so in my opinion very poor. The evening meal you had to select your next evening choice which was all in Italian which led to funny conversations with the staff all of whom don’t speak English (I think we were the only people staying from England) I speak Spanish so between us we managed and I have to say unlike breakfast the food was excellent. All the staff were really nice as well with the exception of a person at reception who we found very defensive, I hadn’t realised the hotel had a bar until halfway through our stay which was at rear of the reception and resembled well part of the reception with zero ambiance. Our room was excellent with very good cleaning service, in my opinion this hotel is a nice option if you want a quiet holiday with excellent food.
