Convenient location near tube. On leafy roundabout with good coffee shop. Big, but dark room. Good welcome on reception. On fourth floor of a grand building which was covered in scaffolding and screening during our stay, which meant no privacy or possibility to open our bedroom shutters or window. No warning of this, no discount or apology.

We had a pleasant stay at Pinto Storey with my son where we felt at home. The staff is friendy and discreet. The room was clean, with a traditional style and a nice view. Aircon is working well. Chiaia area is calm but well located with metro, shops, and good restaurants nearby. Price is affordable.

I didn't like Naples or Pinto Storey. It was easy to find once you realised it was the building covered in scaffolding. There are a few stairs to negotiate before reaching the small lift. The hotel is on the 4th floor of an office block. Its plus points:
Outside of city centre so quieter neighbourhood
Metro just across the road
Room and bathroom spotlessly clean
Towels changed if requested
Adequate breakfast served in room for 8 euros
Gave us extra pillows without having to ask when they noticed that I had propped my pillow up
Excursions were excellent. Good transport, drivers and guides, especially the Sorrento/Amalfi Coast trip

Minus points:
Reserved the train station transfers in February, so by June I had forgotten to "reconfirm" so without telling me they cancelled our transfers! My fault but I would have expected some confirmation of this. I only found out because I contacted them en route so luckily didn't wait at the station for a taxi which wasn't coming!
First impressions are important and the owners "casual" appearance set the tone
Having reserved some 5 months in advance, I would have expected a room with a better view than that of scaffolding
The room was very dark due to the "brown" furniture and being unable to open the curtains because of the scaffolding
The room was a good size but had too much furniture so it became difficult to move around
The bed wasn't changed during.our 4 night stay
Breakfast on Sunday morning didn't arrive with no real explanation
Monday morning we asked for breakfast at 08.30am but it arrived at 07.58
Monday morning the banging started from the men on the scaffold
When checking out, if you want to pay the balance using a card beware, if we had opted for this the extra cost for the 4 nights would have been 120 euros!

To sum up, I didn"t find the hotel or staff welcoming and the room lacked any ambiance, so you could never get comfortable, so I was pleased we were out all day. Would I recommend it based on my experience - NO

Pinto Story certainly exceeded my expectations! The rooms were impeccably clean and had a charming, romantic atmosphere - a refreshing change from generic hotel rooms. The location was fantastic, allowing me to explore the local area by foot with ease. You will be spoilt for choice with restaurants, cafes and shopping.

The staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable stay. The airport transfers I booked through the hotel were seamless, taking all the stress out of arrival and departure.

Most importantly for me as a solo traveler, Pinto Story provided a safe and secure environment. This allowed me to fully relax and enjoy my time exploring.

The rooms were clean and had plenty of extra space for all my stuff. There was a small coffee table for dining. The bed was not amazing but passable as long as you don't have trouble sleeping, it had a noticeable divot and was really compressed. I could see Mt. Vesuvius and the bay from my room. The view is not breathtaking by any means but it was very nice.

The Breakfast part of the stay is extra and mainly consists of sweet Italian pastries and espresso. Its inexpensive at 8-9. They do not have a kitchen so no hot foods which was disappointing but expected.

I really liked the location since it's less than a block away from the metro. The setup for the B&B is a little strange since it's basically a converted office/apt in a building on the 4th floor. You NEED to communicate with the host to get access to the hotel if you arrive outside of regular hours.

They were very quick and prompt with room cleaning and bathroom cleaning. There is basically only one person there doing reception and cleaning most of the time. Just make a bunch of noise when you enter.

Great location, managers were helpful. Arranged a 04:00 am cab for us. It is hard to find: look for the door for address 72, then take the lift to the 4th floor. Helps to call, message the manager ahead of time. Room was comfortable, quiet and secure.

The location was excellent and just of off the square which had 3 coffee bars to choose from, taxis, the Metro and buses to even having a supermarket directly opposite the hotel. Little side streets with fantastic restaurants and bars are 2 minute walk away. Can't have asked for a better location.

The hotel was out of this world and exceeded even our high expectations. Our room was spotless, tidy and room service daily with a fridge/mini bar, Large coffee table and chairs, an arm chair, a fine wooden wardrobe that had plenty of storage and a safe. A Flat screen wall mounted TV although would have been nice to have access to smart features such as Netflix, Prime and screen mirroring.

Only suggestion would be tea/coffee making facilities in the room or communal lounge but not a problem when you have a choice of coffee shops on your doorstep.

The reception and all staff were fantastic and assisted with any needs that we had including directions as well as organising trips through the hotel and its excursion partners. I can truly say that the hotel, location and its amazing staff made our first time trip to Naples and unforgettable one.

this is an 1890's building, converted into professional offices for most floors. The amenities--elevators, plumbing--are modern. The aesthetics--wrought iron beds, new-baroque decoration. prints from 2 centuries ago--are from the early days. The upscale neighborhood is a delight to walk in, and a stone's throw from a metro station that connects to a second intersecting line, and most importantly, to the main train station. If what you want is a cost-engineered conference center of a hotel with big rooms in which to drink and party, you won't be happy here. If you want a retro-neopolitan experience, with your celebrations in the 5 good restaurants 60 feet away, this is your place.

Quite a unique Hotel ,being on the fourth floor of a residential building, hint, go down stairs to find the lift, its a bit off a struggle carrying cases up the 3 flights of stairs!
Located in a good area of the city a bit out but access to Metro, about 2 mins from the hotel, and some eating places, also high end shopping, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, etc just five mins away.
Rooms are all full of character, clean, and quiet, with modern en suite. Only possible issue is that the reception is only manned from midday til 23.00. So if you need to sort tours, or info in the morning it's not easy to get sorted. But when it is open ,very helpful and informative staff.
But would return again.

I stayed here for four nights during spring 2023, and I thought it was lovely. The outside of the hotel is not terribly eye-catching, but once you enter the old-world charm exudes warmth and high-end beauty. As others have said, Pinto-Storey Hotel is in an excellent location, very close to the Metro station (the station name is Piazza Amedeo), at one end of a long, slightly high-end shopping street (Via dei Mille; translates as "road of a thousand" but not sure why), with loads of very pleasant restaurants in the surrounding area. This hotel is located in a hilly area which was fun for me because I like walking the terrain when I explore a place, but understandably that is not for everybody, although the simple truth is that most all of Naples is hilly so if mobility issues are a concern then you should think in terms of taxis more than topography. For the walking inclined the trot down to the waterfront was quick and easy, and hiking uphill from the hotel was just as much fun (with beautiful views). Both Via dei Mille and Piazza Amedeo are fairly busy with traffic (both auto and pedestrian), so if you go out on the balcony you’ll hear typical noises of the city; however, once you button up the balcony doors the room is quiet for restful sleep. The front desk hosts were obviously hired for their excellent people skills, and needless to say not every business is as attentive when it comes to hiring quality staff, so the owner of this hotel gets significant credit for showing he knows how to take care of his guests. Their English skills were not on par with, say, those you'll find in a Dutch hotel, but they certainly knew far more English than I knew Italian, so I was delighted with all the help they managed to communicate. Compared to some places I've stayed in Europe the room here was spacious and afforded excellent views from the balcony. Admittedly, I purposely paid for more square footage and a quality view since I felt that was better for a four-night stay, thus others' experiences may be different than mine. The bathroom was updated to modern standards which very much added to my appreciation, and that compares (sometimes drastically) to other old "charming" hotels I've stayed in which failed to invest in updated facilities. Just a couple blocks downhill on Via dei Mille is the Leopoldo Cafebar which was fantastic for both breakfast treats and delicious Italian coffee. If you want to buy a metro pass for one day or more then there is a place called Bar Metro, located literally at the front of the entrance tunnel to Piazza Amedeo station, which sells them. Bar Metro, and the Piazza Amedeo station for that matter, are only a football field (300 feet) from the front door of Pinto-Storey Hotel. I'll sum this up by saying that I was very fortunate to have selected Pinto-Storey Hotel as my chosen place to stay in Naples. Sometimes picking a hotel via the internet can be a real coin toss, but luck was with me when I selected Pinto-Storey. It made all the difference such that I came away from Naples and its environs feeling I had enjoyed one of the most pleasantly memorable places I’ve ever been in my life. Would I choose to stay in this hotel again? Oh my yes, absolutely.
