Villa Piedimonte

Absolute biggest scam fronting as a luxury hotel! We stayed one night back in October and originally booked our room because of the view, but upon arrival they tell us they are “upgrading our room”. How is my room I reserved not available? The room we were placed in had an obstructed view, was outdated, dirty, and the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept on as you could feel the individual springs. The next morning my family decided we would not be staying and wanted to cancel our reservation, and we went to the front desk to check out. There was a ton of back and forth about us being able to cancel. They even attempted to detain us for failure to pay even though we said multiple times we are only paying for the one night, and the manager finally agreed to that. They let us go thankfully and thought all was well moving forward only to return and find they charged our card for the full amount. This is a disgusting business, and we have attempted to fight this charge since we stayed one awful night! Avoid this place at all cost!!! Terrible customer service and less than 1 star accommodations.

Booked and paid for this hotel back in December of 2023 for Aug 2024. Received a confirmation voucher on August 1st confirming our stay. We arrived after a long day of travel to be told our reservation was “cancelled and there was no record of payment” due to a glitch in their system and that they did not have our reservation. We showed them our voucher and our credit card statement and essentially we were told there is nothing they could do. They had only 1 room available in a lesser category and we would have to pay again and dispute the original charge with our credit card company. Initially we accepted the room, however upon arrival we decided not to stay. The room was small, the only window opened directly to the pool which was noisy and lacked privacy. The room was also dirty, there was dried blood in the bathroom. That was the final straw. We immediately left and luckily booked a a better hotel in Ravello. Another person in our group also had their reservation cancelled several days prior to their arrival and when the hotel called they said “we just prefer you book through us instead of a 3rd party booking site”

This hotel is an uphill hike to the town square where all the action is. They say they have a shuttle, however you have to reserve it and if it’s full you are out of luck.
