Novotel Firenze Nord Aeroporto

Stay away from this hotel. Rooms are very very outdated from 80’s. Room smell like either swear or smoke. Had to change our room 2 times but end of getting same smell. Bathrooms is seriously horrible. The shower curtain had mildew on it and keep sticking to you when you showering.

The management/owner needs to put in money to update this hotel rooms.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone until they have update the rooms. Find other hotel, there are many of them around this hotel.

Restaurant manager Gabrielle was insanely rude to my family, he needs to be careful how he treats people thinking he's above them. You never know who you're treating like that....

Mr. Orlando, I understand that policy, however my parents were obviously unaware of this policy as they were told by the hotel they were staying at next door to come (as their restaurant was closed). Your hotel manager immediately spoke+treated them in an angry and rude manner as if they were idiots and less than him. Just because he is a restaurant 'manager' does not make him better than anyone else. You have to remember that even though they were staying next door, people walking into your Novotel branch could always be future clients and speak well of the hotel. Maybe Gabrielle should be given an update on how to respect and treat humans, especially when you work in hospitality. But I suppose the management of this place doesn't care too much about these things as you know being next to an airport will always bring you clients.
My parents have been customers of the Accor group for a long time and it's just ashame that the standard of this 4 star hotel has gone down so much.

Bathrooms sometimes worked as intended sometimes they didn't have water, reception said it was ok and didn't help.

The room refrigerator was needed for insulin, but it didn't work, and the staff didn't even listen to us, were rude and never came to our aid.

The location is 30 min drive outside of Florence city. Rooms are not air conditioned and wash basin is not working. Even when informed it is not addressed. Some of the Novotel provides one water bottle for free in room but here everything is for money. Overall I stayed in many Novotel. But this stay is not good as other stay.
Note- when we say the wash basin issue at reception , the lady at reception not even apologised. She was very arrogant. That is unacceptable

1. The room is really old, and unmaintained
2. Only one plug point available in the room
3. The door knobs are old and need so much effort to open or close
4. The bathroom is moldy
5. Expected better spread of bread
6. I felt as if I am staying in a cheap motel rather than in a novotel. The room had a weird smell
7. The breakfast was just ok, cold pancakes. The staff never checked with you if you need anything
