Reviews
The staff is very welcoming and helpful. From the front desk to the bar and cleaning staff.
The location is very good if you want to walk a little more. I don't see why others complain about being far from the city center, it adds a half kilometer but comes with convenience of parking and is more quiet.
My biggest and only complaint is the walls are paper thin. You can hear your neighbor plug something into their outlet, walk around, shower and anything else you can think of! If the walls weren't a problem, this would definitely get 5 stars from me.
My wife's profile specifically says high floor and extra pillows. Didn't get that either. Also, no bathrobes.
Room was nice enough. Temperature minimum in room is set to 19 C.
Don't believe the pictures for their rooftop. It is a bunch of chairs, no place to hang out.
They did not improve over time. This should not be considered as a true marriott property.
I would not consider writing a poor review if this manager would have at least admitted the hotel needs to do something about it. My wife and I received a total of 4 bites and lost a great amount of sleep during the 4 nights stay (cannot sleep when I hear buzzing around my head & ears at 300am in the morning). I tried to find another hotel, but it was virtually impossible at that time of year in Firenze.
I would give only one star because of this obstinate morning manager, however, I need to add a star, due to the superb, very attentive, breakfast staff (thanks Anna!!!!!!!!).
Clean room, modern bathroom, VERY comfortable bed. We even ordered in dinner/snacks in the lounge after a long day out and the food was great.
The staff were super friendly and very helpful.
We opted for the breakfast package, which offered a decent variety of options to suit different tastes, ensuring a satisfying start to our mornings. One of the standout features was the covered car garage, which provided secure parking for our vehicle throughout our stay—a rare and valuable amenity in the heart of the city.
The only hiccup was an issue with mosquitoes in our room. However, the hotel staff promptly addressed the problem and provided mosquito repellent, ensuring we had bite-free nights for the remainder of our stay. Their responsiveness and attention to detail were impressive.
Overall, I highly recommend the AC Hotel Firenze for anyone seeking a comfortable and centrally accessible place to stay in Florence. It’s an excellent choice that balances convenience, comfort, and attentive service.
Our first trip to Italy, it was new to us to have them photo copy our passports. The hotel breakfast Buffet is excellent, the location is close enough to walk to the main part of Florence. The view of surrounding area out the windows are not the best, we just kept the shades drawn. hotel works well if you will mostly have private driver pick ups. Over all an excellent stay.
