While this hotel sits outside of the old town area, it is an easy walk from the hotel into the old town areas. There is the T1 line that runs just a short walk away. The hotel overall is clean and well managed. Rooms are comfortable and provide plenty of room. The bar and restaurant area is great with very good service. The breakfast buffet provides options for anything you are looking to start your day of adventure with. Overall, had a wonderful stay and the staff is very helpful and nice. Would recommend this hotel for your stay in Florence!

AC staff welcomed us with in an special way as we were celebrating our honeymoon. They make us feel special during the stay. Rooms and amenities are great!

This is THE place to stay in Florence. The staff is extremely friendly and makes you feel at home. Rooms are large, comfortable and well designed. Bathroom is large and well stocked. Bar is inviting and the barmen is friendly. While location is 25 minutes (easy) walk to the Duomo and surrounding, some may prefer a short taxi ride- not a big deal considering the value this hotel offers! Excellent restaurants and coffee shops are a short walk. In brief- a compliment to the Marriott network!

Good Points:
The room we stayed in was neat and clean, especially with Bathtub in the Bathroom. Breakfast was definitely a pleasant surprise — it offered fresh and good-quality options for a standard continental hotel breakfast. We also tried the in-room dining on the day we arrived, and the food was quite good, especially the lasagna (though I forgot to take a photo!). The catering service was friendly, and the hotel is located near several Peruvian restaurants.
Minus Points:
The location is a bit far from the city center (about a 30-minute walk) and unfortunately offers no real view — just some old, run-down buildings. Additionally, the reception staff didn’t feel very welcoming compared to the catering team.

About 30 minutes walk from city center. No cafes or restaurants or grocery near by. It has a car parking in basement costing 18 € per day. The rooms are cozy & the bed is not that comfortable which is unusual to me for a Marriott brand. The toilet door is from glass with no lock & has openings. No sound privacy 🙄. The shower is only in bath tub and not walk in. Something that I don’t like and dangerous to step across & nothing to hold to.
Breakfast is good with reasonable varieties in buffet. Staff at Breakfast are friendly. No order of extras.
Staff in reception are cordial and accommodating.
At last, I hate to put such a low score, but for me the bed quality and safety comment regarding shower area is uncompromising !

This AC hotel is a very good stay I'd generally recommend.
The staff is very welcoming and helpful. From the front desk to the bar and cleaning staff.
The location is very good if you want to walk a little more. I don't see why others complain about being far from the city center, it adds a half kilometer but comes with convenience of parking and is more quiet.
My biggest and only complaint is the walls are paper thin. You can hear your neighbor plug something into their outlet, walk around, shower and anything else you can think of! If the walls weren't a problem, this would definitely get 5 stars from me.

Came here 8 years ago and gave it a 3. Saw good reviews. My wife is titanium eliete. We just stayed at an AC in Porto, where we got upgraded to a suite and got our usual free upgrade for breakfast. This hotel, we got nothing. No upgrade and got told AC Hotels don't provide free breakfast as an upgrade for eliete members.
My wife's profile specifically says high floor and extra pillows. Didn't get that either. Also, no bathrobes.
Room was nice enough. Temperature minimum in room is set to 19 C.
Don't believe the pictures for their rooftop. It is a bunch of chairs, no place to hang out.
They did not improve over time. This should not be considered as a true marriott property.

Seemed to be a newer hotel, but it was a bit out of the center and near the hotel it seemed to be a bit of a shady area- not sure if it was because of the metro stop that was nearby or not. The staff was nice, not super accommodating, but nice and the rooms were decent. It’s about 18 mins walking to the center, so it’s pretty close. The lobby is spacious and has a lot of seating which is nice.

I recently stayed at the AC Marriott in Florence for one night during a short trip to this beautiful city, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The hotel is clean and well-maintained, with comfortable rooms offering a nice view. The staff was very welcoming and friendly, particularly the incredibly helpful guy in the bar (wish I could remember his name!). The only minor downside is that the location is about 20 minutes from the city center, which adds a bit of travel time to reach the main attractions. However, for a comfortable, friendly stay with a touch of elegance, this hotel is a great choice!
