The Gate Hotel

The hotel is a great choice for one or two nights. The rooms are okay, the restaurant is beautiful, but we noticed that the organization in the restaurant is not at an enviable level. There is a lack of waiters, so the waiters who are working are literally running around the guests to get everything. We ordered sparkling water and got something completely different. We ordered two plates of mixed meat from the grill and we received one plate, so we waited another 20 minutes for the second one to arrive. The waiters don't speak English, whatever we tell them they just nod their heads to understand everything, but in fact they don't understand anything. They stopped us 2 times to ask for the room number even though we paid for dinner. The girl at the reception is not at all thrilled that we speak English. The hotel is okay and for staying a night or two it is fine.
My opinion is that the staff working at the reception or in the restaurant should know at least some English because there is a high possibility that people who do not speak Italian will come.
