Reviews
The breakfast was excellent — fresh, varied, and appeared to be made on-site. A coffee maker and electric kettle were provided, along with complimentary water, which was appreciated.
A few suggestions:
The shower-tub combination could be unsafe for older guests or those with balance issues, even though it includes a safety handle and an emergency pull cord. Because there is no curtain or door, water easily splashes onto the floor, making it slippery even with a towel placed down. There are only two hooks for robes, and the towel racks are awkwardly located beneath the sink, right next to the toilet and trash can — not the most hygienic setup. This leaves no good place to hang wet towels. On cruise ships, for example, guests reuse towels by hanging them on racks and only drop them on the floor when they need to be replaced — a simple and environmentally conscious system that could work well here.
Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are provided in refillable dispensers, which is a nice sustainable touch.
When we complained, the staff showed us another room, but sadly, it also had the same issue with spiders and butterflies. The breakfast was below average and definitely not at the level you’d expect from a hotel in this price range.
After reporting the situation, the only compensation we received was a 10% discount at the restaurant — which didn’t make up for the uncomfortable experience. And they also removed 30€ charge for the city tax as a compensation also which did not also make up for the inconvenience
Overall, we were very unhappy with our stay and wouldn’t recommend this property unless significant improvements are made to cleanliness and overall service quality.
Would highly recommend staying and/or eating here. It’s worth it! … and walking distance to the city center.
