AC Hotel by Marriott Milan Sesto

The hotel room and location was pretty decent, but the service that we received was not ideal or expected. I was told when we checked in that there would be an “additional guest” charge of €24 per night. When I checked the Marriott app on my phone, I saw that the difference in price was only €4 per night. Not to mention I have stayed at many, many Marriott hotels in the past and this additional guest charge has never been brought up with me.
When I checked out this morning, I talked with them regarding the charges and asked for an additional explanation of the charges and why they were so high. The front desk lady proceeded to tell me that the additional guest charge also included breakfast. I was never told this when I checked in and in fact, the lady who checked us in asked me if I wanted to add breakfast for an additional €18 per person per day. If that’s the case, then why was I told when we were checking out that it was included for the extra guest? It seems very dishonest that this wasn’t brought up when we checked in.
I asked if anything could be done to help accommodate the additional charges and to have the breakfast removed because we were never told about it, and I just kept getting told nothing could be done to help us. I understand if this is the hotel policy, but there should have been much more transparency and explanations of what the €48 that I was charged would include, instead of just quickly adding the charge and moving on. In our situation, I think that the fee should have been waived or adjusted due to not enough information given from the hotel staff. I would definitely have expected better from a 4 star hotel.

Update: The hotel reached out to me and helped to resolve the issue and I was really grateful that they would take the time to help make up for the frustrations that were caused. They did not ask me to update my review, but due to the great customer service and professionalism on their part, I decided to update this from a one star to a five star review.

Very nice Marriott hotel. Breakfast was an extra charge but was quite good buffet. Has parking in the basement for a charge. Walking distance to the M1 subway which you can take to central Milan. We liked the quiet of being outside the city, but there is a tradeoff with having to take the subway. Not the greatest of neighborhoods with some abandoned buildings but I didnt see any strange goings on. COOP market within walking distance which was nice. Staff were very helpful.

I would look thank Mr. Pietro restaurant supervisor. Very friendly, courteous,humble and always on toes.
The best guys ever came across. Always ready to help to guest. Long way to go. I would like mention to more staff name Mr. Antonio and Mr. Marco for the best service they provided to the group of 40 people serving breakfast and dinner with a finesse.

Location was super close to a metro stop which was a life saver! The only complaint we had is that one night we came back to our room and it seemed liked someone had been smoking in it. Staff was incredibly kind and helpful and we loved the gym.

We were staying in hotel 3 nights. Me and my friend were totally satisfied with service and support during our stay. Special I want to mention ms. Elisa and her another colleague but I forget her name., she is talented lady she helped us during checkin as well as whenever we have some requirements. Water, slepper, tea or milk they provided in the room. Breakfast is super nice and delicious lots of things for eat. Also very friendly restaurant staff they help us everyday during our stay and make us happy.

I have came with my wife for 3 days stay, the staff was always helpful and friendly.
The loopy is good, the restaurant and bar has small variety of menu but good quality.
The elevator was always busy and late, thankfully our room was in the first floor so we used the stairs. The WIFI was good, the room was clean loved the no carpet floor and bathroom was good but not enough towels.
Location near to Coop market and metro station; Sesto Marelli few minutes walking in the same line to Duomo.

Excellent hotel in Sesto San Giovanni, ideal for those who, like us, arrive by car and prefer to reach the center of Milan by metro (stop 2 minutes on foot). The building is modern, the rooms are really large, quiet and comfortable (despite the “Standard” category), the bathroom is just as big. Overall cleanliness is impeccable, in full compliance with covid regulations. Very friendly staff. Average breakfast. I also took advantage of the private garage, spacious and reasonably priced (10 euros per night).

Stayed there for a single night. The room was top-notch; spacious, modern, very clean. Staff was helpful and gave us an early check-in, even though we hadn't asked in advance. We got a fair deal (EUR 115), especially considering the alternatives. Location is excellent, very easy to reach, right next to the Metro station (same line that takes you to Duomo), and with ample spaces to park in the vicinity; on weekends, it's free, on weekdays, maximum rate is EUR 6 - a real bargain for Milan.
