Loved our stay here. It was a short walk to and from the main station. They upgraded our room to a Junior Suite. It was very spacious. The hotel has an old world charm and is very good value for money, a buffet breakfast was included. Loved the magnifying mirror in the bathroom! Reception recommended a fabulous restaurant that was a 10 minute walk.
We would defiantly stay here again.

"The breakfast is good, with a nice salad option, though the bacon is a bit too salty. The service is satisfactory, but the reception staff could be friendlier and more welcoming with their smiles. The soundproofing could be better, as conversations and footsteps in the corridor are easily heard." Room is a bit old and can be improved.

I don't recall ever being made to feel so special in a hotel. The staff were excellent. Other hotels should strive to be more like the Grand Doria Hotel.
The staff here are excellent. A real asset to the hotel.
Breakfast was also a highlight.

Everything about our stay was great, the food was delicious, the service was fast, kind and polite. We arrived earlier and were checked-in rather than made to wait until the correct time. They also have underground parking, but it is paid\hour. The hotel is within walking distance of many metro stations and 5 minutes from the Milan Railway Station, which was perfect for our trip plan. I recommend!

Very clean, helpful staff, and close to the airport. On a staff members advice, we walked the first evening until late--we felt completely safe, which may reflect the character of the city. The room was of adequate size and updated to modern standards. The breakfast was excellent--fresh eggs, bacon, various breads, fruits, and terrific coffee. My wife and I really enjoyed this place!

I was positively surprised. The hotel was really nice, clean and vintage style. The staff was friendly and helped us with our problems, such as early check-in and luggage storage. There was no problem communicating in English, which was very nice. The breakfast was great and delicious, although the coffee could have been a little better. There was one small problem that there was no iron available and the air conditioning was a bit laud, but other than that everything was great. I really enjoyed my stay and would recommend it to others. Also the price and location were great.

Great Hotel. The only thing is that this is the first hotel where there was no coffee in the room . But the hotel was awesome. Great location. Staff was absolutely friendly and therefore 5 stars

No warm welcome here.Staff all standoffish. Check in quite smooth. For the price paid I didn't expect to find a broken drop down cupboard door which obviously hadn't been reported by housekeeping. As I had no wish to be blamed for this and the fact that it was dangerous as it wouldn't close, I went down and asked reception to send someone up to look at it. After 30 minutes I went down again and this time the guy on reception came up. He tried to fix it but failed and said that he had nobody available until the morning. When I pointed out that this was dangerous and one of us could fall over it in the night, he mumbled something anout finding a screwdriver, but never did! The fixed shower head in the bathroom is do close to the wall it is practically impossible to stand under it. On the plus side, the bathrobes were excellent.Breakfast was a disaster! The spread was good but the layout in the small area meant that getting to items was practically impossible without pushing your way through. The orange juice was from a machine and resembled coloured water. When staying in a 4 star hotel I do expect a little service but no, you got your coffee and tea yourself from a machine. I chose the coffee with milk which was awful, so I got a capoccino, which I can truly say was the worst on our whole trip. To sum up, dont waste your money - go somewhere where you are valued as a customer and above all where your safety is king!

For me, the Doria is a hotel that retains the traditional style, where the guest remains the primary focus.
It is still a hotel with sufficient staff to care for its guests.
The check-in was professional and friendly. The receptionist, Mr. Danielle, immediately greeted me with a warm welcome.
Mr. Danielle took care of any special requests as well.
The quality of the breakfast was excellent. The breakfast and bar staff were very welcoming.
