Hotel City in Sorrento

This hotel is in a great location! Our junior suite had a nice big bathroom and room as well as a small balcony with table overlooking the street. We enjoyed having space to spread out and even have friends over to share a drink in our room.

The breakfast was the highlight! Each evening, the chef starts to prepare delightful pastries for the next morning and the spread is wonderful. We really enjoyed the variety and delicious options to start our days.

The rooftop has a large amount of seating but we were disappointed that it is not open to guests until the bar opens at 7. It would be a great place to read a book or enjoy the beautiful day.

Close to the train station and the markets it makes the location great. If you want a more quiet vacation this may not be the location but if you love people watching from the balcony it’s perfect.

The hotel was exceptionally clean and the housekeeping was above and beyond even straightening and rolling phone charging cards.

The breakfast was great and they were super quick with making coffees. Service was always warm and welcoming.

Our room was clean and spacious and we had a balcony overlooking a street full of shops. Just a block from the center of town, so it's a great location. The chef who makes breakfast is a treasure. Laundry service is €20 per bag, which is reasonable for same-day service. My only complaint is that the beautiful terrace isn't open for guests to just drop by and relax during the day; it's only open at night when they have a bartender on.

We really liked the hotel. The staff were excellent, from reception to dining room to cleaners - they were all great. The location isn't as central as we'd expected but the town centre is in walking distance. The rooms clean, well maintained but need refurbishment. We would still recommend this hotel.

From the time we arrived until the time we left, we were made to feel extremely welcome and valued. A special mention goes to Rosie who could not have done more to have made our stay any more pleasurable. The location of the hotel is ideally situated within easy walking distance of everything including the port and train station. The rooms were well appointed, clean and comfortable and the roof top bar and terrace was a delight….as was the buffet breakfast, plenty of variety and a friendly greeting every morning. 😊

Very nice hotel and staff, located at the heart of Sorrento

The location is great, very close to the train station and easy to get to other places. There is a large supermarket next to it, and the sound insulation is a bit poor, that's all. Breakfast is okay, basically acceptable.

What a wonderful hotel! Great location, awesome customer service, and the breakfast buffet was outstanding! My wife and I had a great time! Didn't get to use the top balcony as much as I wanted to, but that was because we were there in March - a little chilly. The hotel is perfectly situated in the middle of downtown...easy access to the shopping alleys, coastline, and train station. We had rented a car and drove down to Sorrento and took advantage of the hotel parking they offered off-site for about 18 euros a day (public parking garages were close, but would've been slightly more expensive for a full day). This way, we could ask them to bring & park our vehicle whenever we wanted, right to the front door!
The rooms were somewhat small, but something we totally expected. Still, it was enough room for us to put our two huge suitcases in and still get around. The room was also very clean and neat, although not very quiet at night as you could hear your neighbors somewhat (hint: bring earplugs & a facemask :)
I would definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends that are considering staying in Sorrento, Italy!
