Hotel Del Corso

This hotel is perfectly situated on the main street, making it super convenient to explore the city. However, the downside is the noise from the street below, which can be loud until late at night. On the plus side, the staff are friendly and accommodating. One thing that caught our attention was the unusual practice of handing in our room key every time we left for the day, but this makes sense given the 24/7 manned reception. Overall, it's a solid, average hotel with some trade-offs.

Loved almost everything about Hotel del Corso. It's right on the main promenade of town, which means things can get a little noisy at night with revelers, but the location is unbeatable, and the staff - Imma and both Angelos - were superlative: friendly, effective and helpful with out being intrusive.

On the pedestrian street in the city center, cars cannot reach the hotel door, you have to walk about 100 meters. Although the pedestrian street below was very busy, we kept the windows closed and it wasn't noisy at all. There aren't too many types of breakfast, but it's ok. The only thing I was not satisfied with was that I found blood stains on the bed sheets when I woke up in the morning.

Beautiful family run hotel in the city center. Miss Emma and Luca were great, treated us like family. Emma runs the kitchen and the food was delicious. Luca works the desk and oversees the hotel. He gave us tips on locations and food. The room was good. It had a balcony with a view of Corso Italia and a semi private patio with seating. The bed was very comfortable. Corso Italia is a party street and was busy at night but with balcony doors closed it was quiet in room. Hotel is centrally located in old town Sorrento so there is plenty to see, do, and eat. Restaurants are plentiful and serve delicious food. Parking is available offsite and would bring your car when called. Would stay again and plan on doing so.

Favorite part and place of my two week trip around Italy!
Highly recommend taking the cooking class with Imma, I never cook and she made everything super simple to follow and the food came out amazing, then we got to eat our food with a bottle of wine out on the terrace over looking the street. We were also able to buy another bottle of wine from them at the front desk and then stayed out their playing cards when we finished eating.
So I don’t do well eating breakfast early in the morning but my friend loved it and I had my cappuccino so I was good to go.
Our room was spacious and had a window on the second floor and the staff brought our bags up the stairs for us even tho it was maybe like 12 stairs.
It was approximately a 7 minute walk from the train station, maybe the same to the ferry but down the stairs.
There’s a beautiful lookout in the main square 2 mins from the hotel to see the water down below. Plenty of restaurants nearby for dinner and appertif, as well as yummy gelato.
We booked two excursions as well through the hotel which we payed for in cash when we got there. We booked the Pompeii tour which was awesome, the guide was funny and knowledgeable, he said seeing everything in Pompeii could take a week so he would show us the highlights like the mansion, school etc, and brought biscuits for the cats roaming around. We also booked the Capri boat tour. The captain was super nice and knowledgeable, loved seeing all the sites on the boat and then parking the boat and jumping off into the water was probably my favorite.

All of the staff at the hotel was super kind and helpful with recommendations for food or activities. I also left my phone in the lobby when I left on the train to Florence, I called them and gave them my address and credit card and they mailed me my phone back home which was super kind of them. You have to hand your key in as you come and go and we felt like old friends by the end of the trip even tho we only stayed 4 days here. I will definitely be back and will only stay at this hotel in Sorrento!

We spent a few nights with 2 kids at this amazing hotel. The staff was amazing, location is very central, rooms were nice and clean, breakfast was amazing. If you chose this hotel you will have the best time in sorrento!
