The hotel is built on the hillside, facing the sea. The restaurant has a great view, where you can have breakfast while overlooking Mount Vesuvius. The transportation is also convenient, and it is a five-minute walk from the town. It is also close to the pier and the station.
Not very delighted with the service. Typical Italian rigid policies
The hotel is halfway up the mountain. The lobby is grand and there are many 🍋 trees in the garden. The room facilities are average and drinking water is not provided. The breakfast environment is good and the variety is rich. Parking is charged.
It is located near the mountain and a little far from the center. The breakfast is delicious with many varieties. The room is relatively large with a full sea view and a view of the volcano. The hotel has complete facilities. It is great.
The sea view rooms have charming views and are a very cost-effective hotel in Sorrento.
Hotel itself is pretty standard as what you would expect from any big chain hotels, but service was definitely not up to par. We were told there would be valet service - there was none. The bus boys just told us to park ourselves. FINE. Then after I've checked in I asked if the luggage will be sent up to our room - reception then asked if I got a luggage ticket to which I told him we weren't given...

This hotel will grow on you. My first impressions were that it has once been a very grand hotel with beautiful decor and impressive gardens that now looks a little tired and dated in some places. However, this adds to the charm. It is still grand and it has a lot to offer! Perfect for everyone. The service at the hotel is wonderful. All staff are welcoming and friendly. It’s clear that they love...
Super hotel handily placed to explore the Amalfi coast and the popular tourist destinations. The food was excellent and varied, with friendly staff. Small queues for food and drink. The food was as good a quality as local restaurants. Always managed to get a sunbed or a deckchair in the afternoon, when arriving back from day trips. The regular free hotel bus into Sorrento was really handy. The hotel...
Will write another review once home but wanted to pop on as soon as possible many people slated this hotel. I’ve been here since Friday and honestly the hotel is lovely! I read reviews before I came and panicked but honestly the staff are so lovely, the rooms are big and always cleaned, and there is such a chill vibe! The food is so tasty and lots for fussy children too! One thing I will say is the...
Overall, a good experience. Great food, very friendly and attentive staff, also a lot of nice people at the hotel when we visited. Good access to Sorrento via the free shuttle bus. Room was okay, not quite as good as the photos. Watch out at the pool, can be slippy around the edges, two people we saw ended up with broken bones, but they had been boozing in the pool!
We had such a lovely stay here! All the staff were so friendly and welcoming – from the cleaners and reception team to the bar staff and management. The hotel’s location was perfect, with the option to walk into Sorrento or hop on the free shuttle bus. The food was great, and honestly the best pizza we had on our whole trip was at the hotel. Our room was spacious and kept spotless by the cleaners...
First impressions of this hotel were not great, as it's situated in a very noisy, scruffy little town called Saint Agnello. About 20mins walk from Sorrento. On arrival we were told to have lunch, as our room wasn't ready. Fine lunch was ok,pizza, pasta, some salad (but this gets a bit repetitive after a few days!). On seeing our room, we were not impressed, as it was very small, with no balcony, just...

This hotel has a great pool and sundeck with the most amazing views . The hotel has a modern theme with some art works . My first room was comfortable and clean, no balcony. As the aircon was not great I managed to upgrade to a 4th floor sea view room with small balcony - loved it. Rooms cleaned well each day and all towels changed . Good minifridge/bar, but no tea/coffee facility. All the staff are...
A lovely friendly hotel. The staff were amazing. The views of the bay over to Vesuvius and Capri were stunning and the sunsets a sight to behold. Our room was comfortable and the shower was excellent. Could have done with more cupboard space for storing clothes though. We had the bed and breakfast option and there was plenty of choice for breakfast. The evening meals were definitely worth staying...
We were at this hotel with a group tour and had a wonderful time. Our room was in a different part of the hotel were only 4 rooms in total were. Room, bathroom and balcony was huge. The drinks were good! The pool was great, wish it was open past 7pm. Only bad part was I could hear people moved the pool chairs around in the morning but we were up early anyway. Buffett was also good! some taxis don't...
We were absolutely blown away by this hotel It was so charming art deco It sat up on top of Sorrento and the views were absolutely stunning Great pool and patio the service and the staff were absolutely incredible. Just back from a week at this wonderful hotel, the views are to die for, the pool area is fantastic, plenty of sunbeds and parasols available, the rooms were bright and spotlessly clean, beds/towels changed every day, the staff can not do enough for you they are fabulous and so friendly, the breakfast buffet had a great selection of hot and cold food, also an omelette station where they make them fresh...
Just a word of warning to anyone thinking of booking this hotel. Check which room you have been allocated. If you don't specify you want a view of the Bay of Naples then you are likely to end up with with a room at the back of the hotel looking on to scrub land and a steep bank-side. This is not what we were expecting and my wife was in tears within two minutes of entering our room. No one mentioned...

The most expensive hotels in Sorrento all sit on the cliffs overlooking the water. If, like me, you would rather save your euros for pasta, La Residenza hits the nail on the head. It sits a little further back from the water but incredibly shares all the facilities of the 5 star hotel just next door. Guests of La Residenza can take advantage of the beautiful gardens, pool and allowed access to the...
Very nice hotel. Not new but clean. Good swimming pool. The stuff is very helpful. A little bit far from the canter but they have a shuttle service. Very nice sea view and privet beach.
The hotel looks great from the outside. The reception is very welcoming and modern. The rooms have a tiled floor and for the price they are a decent size. The view of the garden is very beautiful, the garden itself is very beautiful and well kept. Very peaceful for walking with someone or alone. The path is well lite during the night.
Amazing outdoor facilities with very basic and outdated indoor facilities. Rooms looks outdated and the hallways and rooms are very noisy - we woke up several times some nights due to people walking, talking in the hallways and simply just closing their door. With that being said the outdoor facilities are simply amazing - best view of the ocean! Nice pool, nice staff. Beach costs 20 euro per person...
Pool was closed in September which was disappointing. Decent rooms, good check in and staff. Amenities for the 4* hotel are provided by the 5* sister hotel in the same grounds and are excellent. Fantastic restaurant with great view.
Great location, breakfast, TV did not work, wifi not good but typically in Italy. Spacious room, quiet. Friendly staff.

RELIABILITY AND COMMITMENT WITH CLIENTS In April 2020 I had booked a trip along the Amalfi Coast, making base in HOTEL CARLTON INTERNACIONAL in Sorrento. The previous month, the closure of borders and flights came due to COVID. Having already paid for our stay at the hotel for 6 nights, we were offered a voucher for the full amount and valid until 31/OCTOBER/2021, which I accepted. Replanning to do...
We had a wonderful stay at the Carlton. The hotel staff are very courteous and professional. The room was clean and comfortable, and the continental breakfast was one of the best I’ve experienced with meats, cheeses, eggs, pastries, fresh fruits. The location of the hotel was within walking distance to a great number of activities, restaurants and shopping. We can’t wait to return.
Good Hotel. Daily breakfast was plentiful and some gluten free options. Staff attentive and friendly. Room was comfortable. Shower curtain was a dislike, but that's personal taste. Pool area is an attraction especially in summer months I imagine. Alot of space, deck chairs and a bar
3 star review as the hotel feels like a 3 star hotel. Rooms were fine, but simpler than you would imagine for a 4 star hotel such as this. Location was good. The view was obstructed by the trees, so unfortunately our "sea view room" had the Vesuvius blocked! Still nice to have a balcony with a good view. However, the balcony was too close together to the other room's, so no privacy at all! To add to...
We enjoyed our stay. Swimming pool was clean and nice after a day sightseeing. Our room was cleaned every day, stayed on the 4th floor. The only minors we experienced was that the room is very old fashioned; shower curtain and the air conditioning. Staff was very friendly at breakfast, at the pool and at the reception. Only at the end of our stay the lady at the reception was uninterested , which gave...

Location and service are quite okay but the amenities might a bit old.
This is one of my favorite properties in Sorrento. The location is excellent as it is a short walk into town and the staff there is amazing. I also loved the grounds behind the hotel, quiet and relaxing.
Recently stayed here for 3 nights while on a holiday, the room was superb and the location was great. Having shutters on the windows and a balcony was a nice touch. The only downside was that the buffet breakfast was a bit plain. I would happily recommend this accommodation for anyone who is coming to Sorrento.
If I could give this hotel 6 stars I would. The service from the very start to the end was absolutely amazing. Location was wonderful, and the breakfast buffet blew me away. Would 100% come back if I ever have the pleasure of visiting Sorrento again.
Traveling in the off-season, the price/performance ratio is very high. The room type was upgraded for free, but the room was close to the garden and there were mosquitoes. The environment of the garden is first-class and it is worth taking the time to explore it carefully.
I would highly recommend this hotel. The rooms were just lovely! The staff are nice and friendly. The bfast is also amazing. Lots of pastry choices! Truly enjoyed my stay.

It takes about 7 minutes to walk from the train. The hotel is very clean and tidy, especially comfortable. The hotel checked in early and the staff were very friendly. Facilities: The room facilities are very new and comfortable. Hygiene: Clean and tidy, with daily cleaning service. Environment: Very close to the beach, opposite the lemon orchard. Service: The dining is very good, and we eat at the hotel every night.

This is the perfect hotel for your trip in Sorrento. The staff are kind, friendly, and really helpful. The food at breakfast and lunch is really above what I’ve come to expect for “hotel food” and the view is one of the best in Sorrento. Perfect 4 star hotel. The staff was fabulous. They recommended a driver from Naples and a boat trip. Both were spot on. Easy walk from hotel to city center. Breakfast was included and was better than any place that we have had for the last week. Beach club was just fine for a relaxing day near the water. Overall I think a good value compared to the really expensive 5 star hotel. Highly recommend

This hotel is good but not great. The biggest problem is that it's a TUI run hotel and nobody seems to own making the hotel deliver. Variety of food and wine are excellent but food hygiene is a little suspect and at dinner you see many of the veg not eaten at lunch. There are damaged sunbeds and mattresses by the pool - why not just remove them rather than leave them out as an advert for "we don't...
Room for improvement. The food is good but prefer buffet rather than a set menu. Nowhere to hang wet clothes..balcony needs a clothes horse. Was expecting a gown in the room with it being a sensimar hotel... No cash point and the walk to the nearest one is walk at your own risk busy road no pavements. We were expecting a beach and was told before we booked that yes there is a beach with a free bus...
Honestly I can't recommend this hotel enough. Aside from the spotless rooms, amazing views and incredible food the real stars are the staff. If you are coming here for the Jacuzzi don't bother. They dont heat it, and will gaslight you to think that a jacuzzi is supposed to be cold. Other than that, the kitchen staff were great, the room was clean but every room only accommodating for two people including only two chairs on the small balcony.
We absolutely loved our stay at hotel Michelangelo! The location is prime. You can’t get any closer to the sorrento train terminal and the walk down to the marina is so beautiful and a peaceful walk that we enjoyed every day. The breakfast was amazing, unfortunately, the rooms are small but very clean. Overall great stay. It’s very close to the train station, which makes it a perfect location. But at the same time, because of the location it doesn’t have great views. It has 2 pools, they close at around 6 pm, which is early. And both of them are small.
What a place! 5 minute walk to the piazza and 2 minute walk to the station. The facilities are excellent and everywhere is spotlessly clean. We're half board and the evening meals are superb as are the breakfasts. The waiters are super lovely! We would certainly consider coming back here as this hotel ticked all the boxes!
Great location in the centre of Sorrento the hotel staff are all very friendly and helpful the rooms are a good size but appear a little dated but you're not there for the rooms. The rooftop bar Staff were great but all of them were great. Would definitely recommend.
I really liked this hotel. Balconies were amazing, room service daily & phenomenal & everything was so clean. You could smell the bleach smell on certain days & that level of clean is hard to come by. I really like how this hotel has a driveway space for drop off & pick up for drivers & busses. Really lovely place to stay. Fairly central, (which means that it's on a busy road, but double glazing and AC sorts that). The pool is really good, we didn't try the fitness suite but I'm sure that's good too. Breakfast is delicious and plentiful. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Couldn't ask for more!
Our stay at Hotel Central Wellness was absolutely perfect. Everything was spotless, well organized, and had a welcoming atmosphere. The staff was incredibly helpful and kind throughout. Amazing location with views to match, definitely the best view from any hotel in the area provided you can get a front facing room. This comes with a cost, however. Food was a big let down, breakfast was fine no problems there. Evening meal however was not good, fish full of bones, pork rarer than I would even have steak, burnt food. Food slapped on plates with no care at all. A big...

My husband and I were visiting Sorrento for our first time on our honey moon and we were recomended by a friend to stay at the relaid Regina Giovanna. We stayed for four nights and it was the most beautiful, relaxing stay. Everyone who works there is so accommodating and nice. The sunsets were absolutely incredible. They had a restaurant on site that was incredible. We ate there a few times and loved...
Outstanding, if I could rate higher than 5 I would. The most spectacular hotel and surroundings. The on-site restaurants are stocked with fresh beautiful food and drink and the staff go above and beyond to help with anything you need. Can't wait to hopefully book again!
We had an amazing 3 days at Relais Regina Giovanna. Everyone was very friendly and helpful, the grounds of the property are absolutely beautiful. Walking down to the beach every day was relaxing - wild plants, herbs and fruit everywhere. Amazing sunsets. The breakfast buffet was fresh and had nice variety and the menu at the restaurant had all that you would need or want. We are looking forward to...
Wooooooooow!!!!! This is paradise. The most perfect place for a romantic vacation, has it all - location (few minutes from Sorrento), a private beach (that you might fond yourself with 4 more ppl at max), huge rooms, 50 acres of farm and open field, amazingly quiet. P-e-r-f-e-c-t!
This was undoubtedly one of our favorite places we have ever stayed. From the beautiful grounds, to the wonderful food, to the incredibly kind staff — we will dream about this place for years to come. If you have the opportunity to book a room here, don’t hesitate! Our only regret is that we didn’t stay longer. Next time, we will come for at least a week! Grazie mille to the wonderful people of Relais...
Went there on the beach, wonderful experience, hospitality is top. Restaurant was excellent, food fresh and well served, view amazing.

Stunning view from your room and patio! Also breakfast views were amazing, just a short walk into town each day.
Our bed mattress and pilloews were as hard as rocks. Tiny but the terrace and was amazing. Little beaitiful walk to gorgeous downtown Sorrento. Breakfast and service was amazing
THE VIEW IS AMAZING! Outstanding service from everyone! Excellent breakfast buffet with great service. Only complaint is the hotel is located on the outskirts of town. A taxi ride to town runs about $20 to $25 euros one way depending on traffic.
One of the best hotels we have ever had the pleasure of staying. We had a spacious corner room with a huge balcony. The staff were amazing, pleasant, and thoughtful. The food in the restaurant was excellent. The beach below the hotel was a bonus that we really appreciate.
Great view, but a bit tough to get to the hotel
Superb views and wonderful staff. Food excellent and great breakfast

I don’t know why a classic European single bed was arranged, the kind that is 0.8 meters against the wall. The entire hotel is an old-fashioned resort hotel. Most of the people I saw during my 4-day stay were American old men and women. The meals provided by the hotel were also more American. Very close to the business district, just 100 meters away. Compared to the price, my heart bleeds, but I can...
The only negative experience we had was being charged for pool towel use and not being told prior that it would cost.
Breakfast was very good with a wide range of food and waiters kept everything cleared. They were friendly, polite and helpful. Wifi was good and the pool area was nice.
We loved it. The friendliness and accessibility... The breakfast was hearty and varied. Sorrento is a truly beautiful city.
