The hotel is out of town and up the hill, realistically it’s a 35 minute walk from the old town and it’s pretty steep but the hotel provides an hourly shuttle service which is very reliable. The staff are friendly and efficient, they provide excellent service without being too formal. The bar is extremely well stocked and the menu is rich and varied. The view is amazing and the atmosphere is peaceful...
We booked a week at the Aminta through Jet2 holidays. Having travelled on various city breaks and inclusive holidays our trip to Aminta has truly been a memorable one. The service was exceptional. In all areas. It’s down to the small things. We had breakfast and dinner included as part of our package. I just mentioned once that my husband likes steaming extra hot tea for breakfast and Juan Carlo went...
We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Grand Hotel Aminta. The view we had from our balcony in the annex was stunning. The staff offer a world class service and take pride and care in offering their clients a relaxing stay. The food was delicious and the shuttle bus to the town was handy. We also booked a massage with Marco who is an amazing professional masseuse and would highly recommend his...
Lovely views over Sorrento. You’re a 15 minute walk from the centre of Sorrento, it’s a bit hilly in places and it’s a tough walk back up the hill. The free shuttle bus is a good option either way. We stayed in the annex which was fine apart from a very noisy ice machine in the hallway that actually keeps you awake it’s that loud. The towels need to be better quality for a 4 star hotel. Food is ok...
We have just returned from a week's stay at the Aminta. The views were breathtaking. The food was good and plentiful . Most of all, we would like to say a big thank you to the friendly and hard working staff in the restaurant, bars and reception and also to the cleaning staff. From rooms 105 and 106.
This a lovely hotel. The staff are 5 star. My room was excellent with a partial sea view. The facilities were 5 star. The only let down was the lack of local fresh fruit also poor variety of vegetables. Nonetheless we will go back.

The most expensive hotels in Sorrento all sit on the cliffs overlooking the water. If, like me, you would rather save your euros for pasta, La Residenza hits the nail on the head. It sits a little further back from the water but incredibly shares all the facilities of the 5 star hotel just next door. Guests of La Residenza can take advantage of the beautiful gardens, pool and allowed access to the...
Very nice hotel. Not new but clean. Good swimming pool. The stuff is very helpful. A little bit far from the canter but they have a shuttle service. Very nice sea view and privet beach.
The hotel looks great from the outside. The reception is very welcoming and modern. The rooms have a tiled floor and for the price they are a decent size. The view of the garden is very beautiful, the garden itself is very beautiful and well kept. Very peaceful for walking with someone or alone. The path is well lite during the night.
Amazing outdoor facilities with very basic and outdated indoor facilities. Rooms looks outdated and the hallways and rooms are very noisy - we woke up several times some nights due to people walking, talking in the hallways and simply just closing their door. With that being said the outdoor facilities are simply amazing - best view of the ocean! Nice pool, nice staff. Beach costs 20 euro per person...
Pool was closed in September which was disappointing. Decent rooms, good check in and staff. Amenities for the 4* hotel are provided by the 5* sister hotel in the same grounds and are excellent. Fantastic restaurant with great view.
Great location, breakfast, TV did not work, wifi not good but typically in Italy. Spacious room, quiet. Friendly staff.

Excellent and helpful staff; amazing view from the rooms; woke up every morning, opened the door of the balcony and listened to the waves. The hotel was super clean and there were mutlltiple staff members checking if I had everything I needed in the room. The private beach is also great, very relaxing, super clean water. I had dinner at their restaurant twice and I could have stayed there forever...
Loved this hotel! Joined my family here for the weekend and the rooms were clean and gorgeous! Breakfast was very good and staff was incredibly accommodating. Would love to come back with my family again!
Staff is very kind and the view from the gardens is nice as well. However this is not a five star hotel; also it is a 15 min walk from the center. Beach area is nice but the food at the beach restaurant is not good at all. Breakfast is ok but nothing special. Pool is rather small. For the price of this hotel you can get a much better experience. Excelsior hotel for example, its not comparable.
Just the most amazing hotel - the staff are all wonderful, so attentive and kind. The view is staggering. The sheer size of the hotel is staggering: a garden, a private beach, a pool, at least two bars, three restaurants, countless seating areas, it’s just incredible. I cannot wait to return.
I stayed here with my wife during busy season July1-5 and absolutely loved our stay. The service was very good and the staff made sure that we were comfortable and whatever needs were addressed. The restaurants in the hotel for breakfast, lunch, dinner were absolutely amazing in taste and some of the best food that we had on our entire trip to Italy. The view was stunning and I keep dreaming about...
Absolutely amazing hotel. Views over the ocean, hotel itself, pool, food, private jetty with ocean access, rooms and service were superb. Massive shout-out to Max as well on reception who was incredibly helpful and really made it a joy to be there. One of the best hotels we've had the pleasure of staying at.

Thank you Grand Hotel Excelsior Vittoria. Top tier Five star hotel. Attention to details. Warm welcome from the team. 190 years of history truly demonstrates level of professionalism. Special thank you to Laura and the team for organizing my proposal. I will be back if I have the opportunity again
This hotel was easily the best hotel out of our entire Italy trip. Camilla went above and beyond. We got to stay in the Royal Suite and it did not disappoint - the balcony is HUGE. We had breakfast on the balcony every morning and a few dinners overlooking the bay. Everything about the hotel felt royal. We also ended up meeting one of the owners, Alessandro, on the last night. He was incredibly gracious...
Generally speaking the experience was positive but there was something off about the attitude of the staff. After having stayed at multiple 5 star locations in Italy prior to reaching this hotel, it's clear someone at the top was instilling an off service attitude that did not come off at genuine or hospitable for an establishment at this level. The outdoor balcony music is too loud. Housekeeping is...
My time at Hotel Excelsior Vittoria was a fantastic experience. Beautiful grounds, amazing location and a relaxing environment round the pool area. The service was beyond excellent and we would like to say a special thank you to Giuseppe who made our stay! Highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Sorrento.
We came here for a cocktail before dinner and it did not disappoint. The hotel commands a premium position over the bay with the cocktail area providing outstanding views. The quality of the cocktails is equal to the calibre of the view and it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Even though the hotel is accessible from the hustle and bustle of the main Piazza, the bar area is quite a distance from...

Did not stay here but was in the locale and visited the bar. Stylish, luxurious, discrete and surrounded by beautiful gardens, the Royal is an opulent oasis on a quiet boulevard off the main Sorrento thoroughfare.
This was a spectacular hotel with a great location in Sorrento, beautiful pool and seating areas, and a truly gorgeous room! Gian Luca was the gentleman who checked us in and gave us a tour around the hotel amenities, and we were generously given a room upgrade for our two night stay to a gorgeous suite, which was such an unexpected and kind gesture! Great hotel in an almost central location in Sorrento. The central area and port are within a couple of minutes (walking distance). The room has a bit of an old design; however, the sea view room gives a wonderful view of the gulf of Naples. Service of the hotel staff was good too.
This hotel was part of a Costco package so we were not aware of how amazing it was before hand. We came to Sorrento because of the package but when we return it is because of this hotel. This may be the best hotel I've ever been to! Everything from the staff to the room to food to the amenities was incredible. The views were awesome. Upon arrival the hotel is located in a great position slightly away from the hustle of Sorrento. I had a great stay at this hotel. The location is ideal, everything is nearby. The staff is very nice and helpful. The hotel is old but charming, if you like moderns hotel, this is not for you. The breakfast was good and offers a lot of options! 1 negative thing: the mattress was not comfy, they should invest in new mattress !
If you are looking for a central hotel this is perfect!

Our group really enjoyed our visit to Sorrento and our stay with Tasso Suites. The lobby staff were very accommodating and made several suggestions when we asked them for good local places to eat and drink. The location is also extremely convenient being that close to Piazza Tasso.

Perfect hotel, totally recommend it!!! Sad to leave.... .
Family owned hotel with much pride in quality and service. Felt as though we were guests in their home. Owner is not only managing premises, she is a restaurant comparable chef... breakfast waa wonderful. The bedding is amazing, high quality sheets and coverlet. Rooms are spacious and location is excellent.
Location is great, quiet and clean room. Great views, beautiful balcony overlooking the main plaza. Despite being above a busy restaurant there is absolutely no noise. Don’t bother using the “do not disturb” sign though, they’ll understand you misplaced it and will enter your room and make your bed anyway.

Beautiful room with a great balcony for drinks and relaxing. Location was spectacular, easy to get to and located near all the shops and food you could want or need. Close to a hospital if you were ever in need. Spas close by, and a great starting point for a day spent exploring Sorrento and all the scenic beauty it offers. Would absolutely recommend to anyone visiting the area.
Perfect location near shopping and restaurants. The room is very pretty and has a large TV. The bathroom is more modern than any we’ve stayed in and has LED lights in the shower, which my husband and son loved. The lady who checked us in was so kind and helpful. There is a small elevator which is nice with luggage. Beds were more firm than I’m used to, but I slept well! Highly recommend.
Well, it’s not a b&b. No breakfast. We went to a nearby bar instead. Location central not far from train station. Room spacious with high ceilings. No staff available much of the time. Not for everyone but pleasant enough.
Had a very nice stay at La Casa. Spacious room, had everything we needed. The owner was very pleasant as well. The location was a perfect ten, right on the main road through Sorrento and just steps from Piazza Tasso. Would certainly recommend this place, and stay here again.

Beautiful restored mansion. Rooms are very nicely decorated and quite large compared to many we have stayed in. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Francesco is wonderful as night watchman and assisting with breakfast in the morning. Great location right on Corso Italia. Only 10 minute walk from the train station.
Highly recommend this beautiful accommodation. Location is fantastic: right in the middle of the bustling and vibrant shopping strip. Our room was extremely comfortable with plenty of storage. Very "charming" old inn right in the vibrant Sorrento square area. Very friendly staff helped us choose a ferry and gave us great directions to anyplace we needed to go. Great breakfast, when I went there was an adorable kitten who roamed around on the roof and my family loved him!
The hotel is aptly located in the center where the hustle bustle, shopping street is. 10mins walk from the station. This hotel was simply the best! As you see on the pictures there is no window in the room itself, but a well working AC. The room was very clean with a newly renovated nice bathroom! Grand. Views from our rooms were perfect but hotel over all needs some love. Simple things like pool / pool area needed a good clean.

One of the most exciting views from Italy. Lovely rooms and friendly staff. The lunch menu is a disaster. It was the worst food we have eaten all over Italy and it was expensive. Unfortunately they are not offering simple pasta instead they fail horribly with burgers and piadinas filled with mayonnaise etc. Besides the lunch we felt very welcome and enjoyed the views from the hotel.

Good location with a good view. We loved the free parking with the shuttle service. The staff was nice and helpful. The only bad side is that the beds and pillows were extremely uncomfortable, even after changing room it was the same. Breakfast also wasn't great... There was little variety and the menu was repetitive. Pastries were dry and cold.
A very clean hotel with large pool, retaurant staff very helpful rooms are spacious and clean but a little dated
The room with a sea view was fantastic until electric blinds broke down and I was left without the window. It was fixed within few hours, but still, when you are staying for 2 days only, you want to enjoy every minute. Otherwise, everything else was fine. Comfy bed, helpful staff, good pool area. Breakfast wasn't bad, but only 2 options of hot food - pancakes or scrambled egg.
My wife and I had an amazing stay here in July. The staff was very polite. The room had a great AC that kept it nice and cool. Breakfast was great. The best part of the stay was the around the clock shuttle service to the Sorrento city center. We also had a beautiful sea view from our balcony.
Lovely hotel very clean.staff very friendly and very helpful and we would definitely return back
Had a lovely stay here in early October. Room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Immaculately clean bed, though a tad hard, but comfortable enough for us. Lovely hot shower and plenty of storage space for our belongings. Food was very good, especially on the Sunday and Thursday nights when they do an extra special dinner - definitely not to be missed. Everything is fabulous, our room, spotlessly clean, huge balcony, with view of Mount vesuvius. The staff, so friendly and helpful.. So much choice with the food. Rose wine very good.. We've taken bottles up to our balcony in the evening.. To enjoy the evening view's.. Entertainment not to everyone s taste.. Go and enjoy the gardens.. Josh the tui rep helped out on a problem we had, sorted in a day...
This hotel is good but not great. The biggest problem is that it's a TUI run hotel and nobody seems to own making the hotel deliver. Variety of food and wine are excellent but food hygiene is a little suspect and at dinner you see many of the veg not eaten at lunch. There are damaged sunbeds and mattresses by the pool - why not just remove them rather than leave them out as an advert for "we don't...
Room for improvement. The food is good but prefer buffet rather than a set menu. Nowhere to hang wet clothes..balcony needs a clothes horse. Was expecting a gown in the room with it being a sensimar hotel... No cash point and the walk to the nearest one is walk at your own risk busy road no pavements. We were expecting a beach and was told before we booked that yes there is a beach with a free bus...
Honestly I can't recommend this hotel enough. Aside from the spotless rooms, amazing views and incredible food the real stars are the staff. Quite frankly I've never been treated better in my life, they genuinely can't do enough for you! Across the board fantastic service. Wild rabbits by the jacuzzis aren't for everyone but I loved them!
